16: Liza Kindred, "Mindful Technology" Fashion & Tech Expert | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 47:10

Liza Kindred is an author, speaker & founder of "Mindful Technology". She's worked with some of the top companies fashion and tech companies like VOGUE Magazine, Bergdorf Goodman, Bloomingdales, Hearst Media, Time Inc, Microsoft, Cisco, Vodafone & Amazon. Liza has also appeared in the The New York Times, San Francisco Chronicle, Financial Times, Market Watch and other publications. After spending twenty years working in fashion & technology, eventually specializing in wearable tech, Liza became alarmed by the lack of attention being paid to whether these devices were serving us... or the other way around. As a meditator for eight years, a student of Shambhala Buddhism & a reiki practitioner, she began talking about this disparity, & eventually developed the principles behind "Mindful Technology", which have been wildly well received as while nearly everyone loves technology, they also want to escape from it's grips from time to time. This is the genesis behind "Mindful Technology" the company & the #mindfultech movement. Internationally accredited meditation, yoga & mindfulness teacher Melli O'Brien draws upon her unique blend of skills to help others via conference presentations, workshops & even festivals. Trained at the Mindfulness Institute of Australia, Melli was selected by the Satyananda Mangrove Mountain Ashram (the largest ashram in the southern hemisphere) to teach mindfulness retreats & is also a regular at other mindfulness retreats & courses in Australia & abroad. Noting that her mission is help others "enjoy a more conscious & connected life", Melli is quick to point out that as a mindfulness teacher, she remains, first & foremost, a devoted mindfulness practitioner (who’s still learning, discovering & deepening every day).
