The Discovery Crew is back to review the premiere of Season 3, which finds Michael emerging in 930 years in the future.  However, the Discovery is nowhere to be found, and she quickly has to adjust to life in a new world-one where the Federation no longer exists.  We also meet Aditya Sahil, a character who is so adorable and sweet and must be protected at all costs, as well as Cleveland Book (David Ajala, Supergirl), who continues the tradition of Black holy men in science fiction having a name that includes the word Book in it.  We also discuss the fandom and learning to just enjoy what you like without the need to explain it to others.    Like what you hear?  New & Not Improved - Mailbag #35 | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 1:28:47

Kriss and Dpalm are back with a new Mailbag episode for September and they have a special plea. Can Warner Brothers, DC, and Zack Snyder take October off because we're really tired of talking about their fuck ups. Seriously, 2020 has been stressful enough, can we get one month where we don't have to scream internally (and on the podcast) at all of DC's really dumb unforced errors? This month we finally get the confirmation that the "SnyderCut" never existed and needs $70 million more to be finished. Also DC's finally giving us a "DC Unlimited", except it's just DC Universe without all the streaming content for the same price as DC Universe. *bangs head on desk* Topics: * Surprise,  the SnyderCut needs more money * Aldis Hodge to play Hawkman (eventually) in Black Adam * WTF is Ray Fisher doing? * The "New & Not Improved" DC Universe, DC Universe Infinite  * Supergirl is ending after this upcoming season * Dat Wandavision Trailer * Kang is Comin * A Nick Fury Disney+ show plus  She Hulk & Ms Marvel are cast * Halle Berry talks Bryan Singer on the set of X-men Kriss and Dpalm record the Mailbag at the end of every month.  Star Trek Lower Decks S1E3-6 Review - Staying in their Lane | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: Unknown

The Star Trek Crew is back to discuss episodes 3-6 of Lower Decks, reveling in the fact that the characters are very realistic and relatable.  While we love the other Star Trek properties, the characters in those shows are more aspirational.  These characters feel very real and grounded.  Also, this show is BLOODY in a way we did not really see coming, giving us allegories on the dangers of abusing technology, the challenges with not paying attention to your relationships, and discussions around being okay with your station in life.  We also discuss Gina Carano on Twitter and coming Star Trek news.    Like what you hear?  Trust Us This Time - Mailbag #34 | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 1:42:13

It's the end of August so it's time for another Mailbag episode. This month Kriss and Dpalm get to do a "special" episode because WB just completed the first part of their now two part DC FanDome virtual experience. They released trailers and had panels on some of their highly anticipated (and delayed) movies. And well...we're here to tell you why you shouldn't believe a goddamn thing coming from WB cause they haven't earned that trust. WB has a history of treating DC like an IP farm and not really caring about the properties and we're tired of caring more about them than the billion dollar campaign that owns them. It also doesn't give us confidence in their announcements when the week of this huge virtual event, they were laying off staff that gutted DC Comics, burying DC Universe, cancelling good comics and changing their massive 24-hour event into a 2-day event with the second part not coming until September.  It's almost as if they don't have a plan and you shouldn't believe anything coming out of their mouths Kriss and Dpalm record the Mailbag at the end of every month.  Star Trek The Lower Deck S1 Episodes 1 & 2 Review - Irreverent Overachievers | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: Unknown

The crew is back to discuss the first two episodes of the new animated series Star Trek: The Lower Decks.  Focused on the ensigns of the U.S.S. Cerritos with Mike McMahan running the show, the Rick and Morty style animation combined with the lighthearted and flippant nature of the leads makes for a very enjoyable new show.    Like what you hear?  Agents of SHIELD Series Finale Review | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 1:15:26

It's finally here. Seven years. Seven seasons. The end of an era. This is a bittersweet episode. The Super Tuesday Recap podcast exists because of Agents of SHIELD. We called it "Super Tuesday Recap" cause AoS used to come on Tuesday along with The Flash. Seven years later and while the show has switched days multiple time, we've been there to review and discuss for every episode. So while we loved this season and these last two episode are absolutely fantastic, there's still a little sadness that this is the end. At the same time, we have to celebrate the way this show goes out. It plays on our emotions and still gives us the happy ending. There are payoffs from season 1 that clearly make this a love letter to the fans that have been there since day one.  Kriss and Dpalm are joined by Karen from The Black Guy Who Tips to give a finale "Spy's Goodbye" to the Agents of SHIELD. We talk about these two episodes and some of our favorite moments, why Agents of SHIELD felt different from any other show on TV, our favorite season/episode and more. Give it a listen.   Like what you hear?  Agents of SHIELD S7E11 Brand New Day Review | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 31:49

The end is almost here and we're definitely not ready for it. This week it was announced that there will be a prop auction for Agents of SHIELD and that suddenly made it real that the show is finally coming to an end. But we're not there just yet. This week, Iain De Caestecker finally makes his season 7 appearance and we get a few more hints as to the whereabouts of Fitz but it doesn't feel like we're going to like the answers. On top of that it seems that Sybil and Nathan have finally gotten what they wanted and destroyed SHIELD. But we also get confirmation that this is definitely an alternate timeline (we have thoughts on when the split actually happened and its before this season). So while it seems like the bad guys have won right now, we see some openings for the team to right everything. And we know when they do it, they'll do it as a family. We'll be watching the series (still hard to say this) finale live on Wednesday. Then the final MTR Network Agents of SHIELD review will have our friend and special guest, Karen from the Black Guy Who Tips Podcast on.    Like what you hear?  Commitment Issues - Mailbag #33 | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 1:14:00

It's the end of July 2020 so it's time for another Mailbag episode. Kriss and Dpalm go through listener emails, hot topics and discuss their Pull-List for the month. This month we're once again asking DC...or rather...WB...to tell us what the plan is. We're starting to think WB has commitment issues (okay who are we kidding, we KNOW they have commitment issues). DC Universe (no not the MMO...yeah, they're really bad at naming and branding) is not even 2 years old and yet all the signs are pointing to WB dropping it for HBO Max (which is also having a terrible roll out). Between this, the flip flopping on the SnyderCut as well as all the announced live action movies that we've seen no movement on, it's really becoming hard to get excited for DC Fandom since there's no guarantee that there will be any follow through. Topics: * Zack  Snyder says the SnyderCut is 3.5 hours long...what could go wrong? * WB's strategy with DC makes no sense * DC Universe seems to be dying...all we want is the comics DC. * Claims that Jeph Loeb cut the development of Asian characters on Daredevil Season 2 Kriss and Dpalm record the Mailbag at the end of every month.  Agents of SHIELD S7E10 Stolen Review | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 33:51

We're only three episodes away from the series finale of Agents of SHIELD. And technically we're only 2 away because the finale episode is always 2 episodes. When we say it out loud it makes us both sad and very, very afraid. It's sad that we're so close to the end of this great series. It's frightening because we can only imagine how this show is going to wrap everything up and the fate of these characters. This episode proves that the "ripples not waves" rules are completely out of the window at this point. While the team stopped the majority of the Chronicoms, Sybil and Nathan (along with some choices made by the team itself) have clearly changed the timeline. The question then becomes, how does all this get wrapped up and what happens now? Also, where is Fitz and what has he done? We've gone 10 episodes without seeing  him and for a moment, this episode even makes us wonder if he's even alive. But Sybil seems to think he is and Simmons is clearly the key to finding him.  We have some theories on what is going to happen next and Kriss seems to make a surprise promise that is years in the making (Of course he could just be trolling everyone).   Like what you hear?  Agents of SHIELD S7E9 Review As I Have Always Been | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 37:01

Gotta love this show. First off, congrats to Elizabeth Henstridge for a wonderfully directed episode. Time loops episodes might seem like simple episodes to do but they're not. To make a good time loop episode it really comes down to building on the well defined characters and relationships as well as the cast knowing how to make subtle changes in their performances and this episode really does that. Agents of SHIELD also is written to really trust that the audience will get it.  This time loops starts halfway (maybe even 3/4) through the loops.  This episode gives us an emotional sendoff for Enoch, some great "Father/Daughter" moments between Daisy and Coulson, confirms Daisy still has her powers, gives us a Daisy/Sousa relationship (or potential one) and gives us some really deep moments to think about family,  life and what it means to be alive. All in one episode. Oh and it makes us all realize that asking "Where is Fitz?" is going to lead to some answers we don't think any of us want.   Like what you hear?  Agents of SHIELD S7E8 Review Therapy Fighting | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 36:35

This week the Agents are still in the 80's but we take a trip to a place we've been before in previous seasons: After Life. To help fix the time drive, Elena needs her speed back and to figure out what's wrong, they need someone familiar with Inhumans. Enter Jiaying, Daisy's mother. There are several key things that happen this episode: * May's "empathy" powers are increasing. She now doesn't have to touch someone to feel what they're feeling * Elena's powers were never gone, she was just holding herself back. Also turns out that when she uses her powers, she doesn't have to bounce back to the place she started. She's just a regular speedster * Jiaying had another daughter (Daisy has a sister) who was supposed to die but has now teamed up with Malik (who is now evil Quake). With Nathan taking over Afterlife and driving Jiaying and Gordon out, it makes me wonder if this is when Jiaying meets up with Calvin Zabo and conceives Daisy? That last one there brings up the interesting question again of how much is actually changing in the history of Shield and the Agents. Maybe in some ways all these things were meant to happen. It will be interesting seeing how all this plays out. Also it's well past the time to start worrying about where Fitz is.    Like what you hear?  Agents of Shield S7E7 Review The Deke Squad | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 18:39

At this point why even review this season of Agents of SHIELD? There's just no point because it's so good and so fun. This episode is full of 80's cliches and winks to the audience and we love it. Which is good because the episode starts off pretty rough and sad following Mack dealing with the reality that his parents are dead and that his younger self and brother are having to be raised by their uncle.  On top of that, it's really starting to look like the agents are becoming fully ingrained in the history of SHIELD. Mack and Deke being left 1982 seems more like part of the plan (Like Enoch being left in episode 2) than a mistake. Also we're starting to get close to the team having to interact with their own history from the show and we can't wait.   Like what you hear?  Agents of SHIELD S7E6 Adapt or Die | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 32:29

Shame what happened to Mack's parents... We think the Chromicons undersold it when they said they were going to "Play Dirty" going forward. This is just downright evil. It also opens up a lot of questions. Why would the Chromicons replace and kill Mack's parents instead of just killing and replace Mack? What is keeping the Chromicons from attacking the Agents directly? The answer might come down to Sybil aka, the Predictor. She's clearly got a larger plan in place and not only sees all the threads but all the possibilities happening in the timeline. It also seems like she's basing the changes to the time line on percentages of predictability and maybe killing the agents directly is just too high of a risk.  This week we got a  bit more information on what's going on with Simmons and some hints as to where Fitz is. Also, there's more and more evidence that at some point we're going to end up back at where we started with all the Agents. Once again proving that the show's tagline of "It's All Connected" is really true.   Like what you hear? It's the end of June 2020 so it's time for another Mailbag episode.
