DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis take a look back at Week 16 in the NFL. The big story here was two quarterbacks in Derek Carr and Marcus Mariota going down for the season with injury. They discuss how to best project the backups in Matt McGloin and Matt Cassell respectively.  They also discuss how to look at Week 17 when not every team has something to play for. There are a number of teams who’ve already clinched playoff berths and many others who are completely eliminated.  And finally they take a look at some of the week’s top performers.

This is an odd week with most of the games coming on Saturday because of the Sunday holiday.  There’s a ton to get to with really interesting games happening in New Orleans and Oakland. Those affairs have big implied totals and Andrew Luck, Drew Brees and company look like safer cash game plays.  They also discuss some GPP considerations from the Redskins, Titans and Chargers.  Then Doug gets irrationally excited about Todd Gurley against the 49ers.

At quarterback they discuss Andrew Luck, Drew Brees and Jameis Winston with a mention of Tom Brady as well. At running back it’s Shady McCoy creeping to the top of the list while bigger money guys like David Johnson and Le’Veon Bell get hit on their matchups. Jordan Howard and Ty Montgomery also look safe at their prices.  And at wide receiver they issue a NoHalftime challenge between Jordy Nelson and Julio Jones.

There were a lot of weather concerns going into last week and the guys discuss how that influences their base projections leading into Sunday. They discuss also how weather effects running games and whether or not we should adjust based on snow, cold, etc.  They also go through some of the quarterback play this week led by Drew Brees. Some other interesting names who cropped up were Matt Barkley and how Carson Palmer ended the DFSR QB drought.  And finally they talk about Ty Montgomery's performance, Shady McCoy running wild and how Le'Veon Bell and David Johnson saw big decreases in volume.

Lots of good offenses against good defenses, a considerable lack of wide receivers, and a number of good-but-not-great running backs to fill your plate this week.  Still, the guys pick out value from each game and talk about which slates they are targeting to maximize their earnings this weekend. They also break down the current state of injuries for each team, and discuss where you might find a little sneaky upside if certain key players wind up sitting.

There is a ton of solid value going into this week at quarterback with Aaron Rodgers, Matt Ryan, Carson Palmer and Tyrod Taylor all playing in terrific matchups.  They also discuss whether to go expensive at running back with Le’Veon Bell and David Johnson or cheap with Bilal Powell and Kenneth Farrow.  Wide receiver is a little trickier though.  And finally Doug jumps on with Andrew Morris, the DFSR user who took down the Sunday Million on DraftKings.

The big news coming out of this week was of course that DFSR premium user amorris525 won the Million Dollar Prize in the DraftKings Millionaire Maker. We couldn't be more excited about this win for one of DFSR's own. What a Sunday.  After gushing about that, they talk about a Week 14 now in the books. They discuss how weather played a factor in both the projections leading up into Sunday and how it effected the performances of certain players. David Johnson certainly fell victim to the heavy rain in Miami while the frozen tundra in Lambeau didn't slow down Aaron Rodgers much.  They also take a look ahead at some possible running back value with injuries cropping up for Melvin Gordon and Matt Forte leaving Kenneth Farrow and Bilal Powell with the workloads. 

DFSR crew breaks down every game on the Week 14 NFL and the DFS implications for FanDuel and DraftKings. There are a ton of solid matchups this week with New Orleans heading to Tampa Bay in a game that could turn into somewhat of a shootout.  They also reiterate the safety of top tier running backs like Le'Veon Bell and David Johnson while also offering some GPP pivots like Melvin Gordon, Shady McCoy and maybe even Rob Kelley.  Then there's what to make of Colin Kaepernick, the Detroit Lions' offense and if anyone on the Bears can be trusted.  All that and more for Week 14.

At quarterback this week there's a guy like Andy Dalton who gets a fantastic matchup against the Cleveland Browns who are about as bad as it gets on defense. Then they talk about Matt Barkley and Aaron Rodgers who might actually be a little off the radar this week.  At running back it basically starts and stops with Le'Veon Bell and David Johnson who are so above and beyond the rest of the field.  And finally, at wide receiver and tight end they discuss how we might not want to spend all the way up but can look at guys like Golden Tate and Tyrell Williams.

They discuss, at length, the case for Russell Wilson after a rough week against the Bucs that saw him as a chalk play. They are both elite tough volume plays even at their prices.  And finally they look at possibly going cheap at the WR/TE position with some target share dudes coming in the middle tier.

It seems like some of the value plays crystalize early especially with the Steelers in such a good matchup. Big Ben, Le’Veon Bell and Antonio Brown are all top tier plays against a bad Cleveland defense. They also discuss Aaron Rodgers and Blake Bortles.  At running back, in addition to Bell, there’s Demarco Murray, Rob Kelley and C.J. DFSR's Doug Norrie and James Davis take a look back at Week 10 in the NFL and get to work looking at Week 11 for FanDuel and DraftKings. There's a ton to break down from Week 10 with the rushing performances way down this week.
