DFSRcrew is back on the NFL podcast taking a look at the Thanksgiving slate of games for FanDuel and DraftKings. It’s only three games, but for you turkey and football junkies, it’s about as a big a day as any you’ll find on the year. They break each of the three games down from a fantasy perspective, looking at the matchups and potential ownership for both sites. There’s some Julio Jones vs. Michael Thomas talk, what to make of the Lions’ running back situation without Kerryon Johnson, Drew Brees vs. Matt Ryan a lot more.

DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis take to the podcast to break down an excellent Week 11 in the NFL and look ahead to Week 12 which has a 3-game Thanksgiving slate plus a full main slate of games. The guys recap some of the Chiefs-Rams historic game from Monday night and mostly pay homage to these two prolific offenses. Then they look at Lamar Jackson’s game for the Ravens in his first start and whether the rushing yards are sustainable. At running back, it was a lot of the usual suspects though they do look at whether James Conner’s game was an outlier. And finally while looking at some WR games, they make fun of the name of the FanDuel contests for Thanksgiving.

At quarterback, they look at whether a very cheap Lamar Jackson is ready to take over the full reins for the Ravens and if you can roster the rookie in cash in his first start. They also look at another week of Ryan Fitzpatrick. It’s going to make sense spending up at running back with a bunch of viable big-money options like James Conner, Ezekiel Elliott and Saquon Barkley in good spots. The guys look through some of the injury news, new opportunities for players and which guys rank as cash vs GPP plays on this slate. They discuss how to appropriately rank the very top tier of running backs, all of whom seem to be in advantageous spots heading into Week 10. There’s also a look at how to attack the WR position with a lot of viable options. They go through each game, looking at the lines and giving a sense of how to attack them from a DFS perspective.

They look at some of the top (and bottom) performances of the week and try to shake out what we can learn going forward. First, they look through their top four power rankings and make the case for certain teams over others. There’s a lot of discussion about some of the running back play and how Todd Gurley’s worst game of the year looks in comparison to guys like James Conner, Alvin Kamara and Kareem Hunt. At WR, they talk about Adam Thielen getting shut down, the Lions’ receivers disappointing and Antonio Brown’s continuing issues with conversion rates. The guys spend some time talking about the Dalvin Cook news that he’ll be on something of a snap count after originally thought to be out for Week 9. The guys discuss how this affects Latavius Murray’s production and ownership. There’s also significant discussion about the Bucs-Panthers, Ram-Saints and more. The guys look at every game talk about the cash and GPP plays from each.

At receiver, there was a drop-off in the target share for some of the elite usage WRs and an uptick for some middle tier guys. They discuss whether there are any takeaways from these performances.

They discuss some of the problems at running back this week but see Latavius Murray (filling in for Dalvin Cook) and Peyton Barber (very cheap on DraftKings) as spot starts. There’s also a ton of WR considerations this week with teams running into bad defenses and some injuries opening up target share. It’s a jam-packed podcast for the NFL’s Week 7.
