My guest today is originally from Stuttgart, Germany but is currently based in Buenos Aires. He is an internationally renown bandoneon player, a music arranger, composer, and teacher. He's studied with a number of tango masters including Julio Pane, Pablo Mainetti, Horacio Romo, and Osvaldo Montes. And he also studied composition at the Conservatorio Lopez Buchardo. My guest today is based in Los Angeles, CA. By day he's a psychotherapist, but by night he's a tango dancer, teacher, and organizer. As a response to COVID-19, he cofounded Earth Virtual Milonga, along with its parent organization SoTango.world. Utilizing the connective power of the internet and simple software, he has helped organize a number of elaborate virtual tango events that have brought together international DJs and dancers alike. Among her myriad achievements, she has recorded with the Buffalo Tango Orkestra, La Martino Orquesta Tipica, and the Ann Arbor Camerata. She has also served as the concertmaster of the University of Michigan Symphony Orchestra. In 2019, she lived in Buenos Aires on a Fulbright Scholarship studying Tango and other types of national music.
