Oh, and they take a few minutes to mock Matt for the new name of the Red Wings arena. Show Note: At the time of this recording, Pontus Aberg was not signed. He was signed on Tuesday to a 2 year, 1.3 million contract.

Welcome to the inaugural episode of Southern Hostility, hosted by Cameron Gumpy and Justin Bradford. Throughout the season, Penalty Box Radio will be bringing our fans a podcast dedicated to discussing the various prospects of the Nashville Predators organization. This includes -- but is not limited to -- the Milwaukee Admirals, the Norfolk Admirals, the NCAA, junior leagues and European leagues. We will try to bring you varying perspectives from the people who work closely with the different levels of prospects as they make their journey to Nashville. Our goal is to educate our fans so when a Pontus Aberg or Freddy Gaudreau make an unexpected appearance in a playoff run, you have a better sense of who they are and what they bring to the table. In the inaugural episode, Daniel Lavender of Admirals Roundtable joins me as we wrap up Preds development camp and discus the future stars game, how the lineups could shake out this year in Milwaukee, and answer some user submitted questions.

It's our last show of the 2016/17 season, and we wrap it up first by giving our heartfelt responses to the tremendous and historic run by the Nashville Predators. Next, we spend an entire segment on the Vegas expansion draft and give our opinions on protection lists. The NHL Draft is next week, so we take a look at organizational needs for the upcoming event in Chicago. Lastly, we read some comments from (still) salty Penguins fans and a few Preds fans that just don't know what to do with the offseason. We also answer Twitter questions on a potential next captain, free agency and more.

We open it up with our reactions to Game 4 and spend some time talking about all things Frédérick Gaudreau. Next, Steve Dangle of Sportsnet joined us to talk about his entire Smashville experience from the moment he got off the plane, to Broadway, the game and more. Justin and special guest co-host Jeremy K. Gover returned just 2 hours before going live and they brought a special report back from Pittsburgh. We address the "offside goal" and the catfish incident and talk about the positive vibe coming out of the locker room even after a loss. Next, Kevin Allen of USA Today joined us to talk Stanley Cup Final, what to expect out of the Penguins in Game Two and Charles Barkley's fandom of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. (12:55) Rocky Thompson, head coach of the Memorial Cup Champion Windsor Spitfires then joined us to discuss the journey of winning the Memorial Cup as the host team and providing some insight on the Ontario Hockey League. The Nashville Predators are heading to the Stanley Cup Final for the first time in franchise history! Justin and Glynne share their personal thoughts of what it meant for the city of Nashville to witness the Predators advancing. We air Pete Weber's calls of Colton Sissons' hat trick and the final horn blowing in Game 6 against Anaheim. Ryan Johansen also shared his thoughts about Ryan Kesler. Next, Daniel Lavender of Admirals Roundtable joined us to discuss his Smashville experience and what it was like seeing so many former Admirals clinch a berth in the Stanley Cup Final. Sports Anthropologist Jillian Fisher then came on to give us a perspective of a world-traveled sports fan and the buzz around Nashville throughout the playoffs.
