Episode 317: Sandbox Interview with Freelance Artist, Illustrator and Product Designer Adam Moore aka Harold Apples | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:39:49

Do something that is all you. National Dry Goods was born out of Adam Moore's desire to own a project that was fully himself and it's used to unite artists and makers through well made goods. This place is dope. Adam walks us through the beginnings on Nat Dry Goods along with some of the notable projects / collaborations along the way. We love what Adam is doing... and you will, too.

Episode 316: End of Days Ritual | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:46:31

Still waiting on Luke to get out of that tree, but in the meantime we've got a lot of movie to complain about. That's right, the lowest cumulative score we've ever awarded goes to the film in this episode. And that score? A 5.5. Ouch. We also show off the board game Fae, The comics ApocalyptiGirl and Niourk, and loudly daydream about owning the latest Shape of Water print from Danial Danger and Mondo. Check it.

Bonus Episode: Ant-Man and the Wasp Roundtable Discussion | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:59:07

We just can't say no to overtime talking Ant-Man and the Wasp. Our friend @wheelsee joins us to talk the first MCU film since Infinity War and - spoiler alert - it's a good film. Additionally, we bring full spoilers to the conversation... so only hit play if you're ready to be a know it all.

Episode 315: Interview with Freelance Illustrator & Creator of the Game Burger Battle Andrew Heath | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:39:45

Burger Battle is the newest (and first) Kickstarter from Andrew Heath and it's got us excited. We've been playing the game for the last month and are hooked. It's simple. It's addictive. And it features burgers and burger building materials prominently. We take the opportunity to sit down with Andrew and talk about what goes into designing a game + Kickstarter campaign and how he responded to the challenges along the way. He's relentlessly positive and offers very practical advice. Listen and support!

Episode 314: The Mystical Art of the Heist | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:47:36

Hey! We're one master down this week but don't count us out. We round the bases with talking toys (Plush Guts Dunny, DuckTales figures), games (Burger Battle), film (American Animals), design (Just Drawn that Way, Richard Deas) and even books (Children of Blood and Bone)! Special shout to Ape Meets Girl and Blue Ruin plus a tease of Thursday's interview with Andrew Heath. Baller.

Episode 313: Interview with Illustrator Ben Brick | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:44:20

Ben is the real deal. When he's not doing axe restoration, Ben is hard at work ... because his work is hard. Ben seeks to capture the style of old school hand drawn ads, and that means getting out of the computer and on to paper. His style may be popular now, but that isn't the draw for Ben; it's doing work that appeals to him and has the raw aesthetic of a past era. And he's good at it. It's a great conversation with a super kind dude.

Episode 312: RRRRise of the Prestige | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:56:55

Another week and another round of cool stuff for you to check out. We got Mystery Minis, Movies, Mutant Turtles... and a board game. We dive into Cuphead Mystery Minis, Won't You Be My Neighbor, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Levers, Rise of the TMNT and Trickerion: Legends of Illusion. Solid.

Episode 310: You're It! The Incredible Origins of Tag | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:01:54

I hope you're ready to start clicking... I mean, check out that list of show notes. This week we review 3 films, unload a bunch of game goodness from Origins, and pick our next round of Some Assembly Required. On that note, if you aren't yet participating in SAR you're missing out. Start flexing those creative muscles!

Episode 309: Sandbox Interview with Creative Directors from Mondo Eric Garza and Mr. Rob Jones | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:36:39

Mondo just keeps giving me reasons to like them more. A company that thinks like a collector, Mondo pioneered the limited edition art movie poster and has rapidly expanded into music, games and collectibles. This week we're fortunate to be joined by Creative Director Eric Garza and Co-Founder / Creative Director Rob Jones. With SDCC right around the corner, we talk Mondo's partnership to produce the event souvenir book. Compliments for all things Matt Taylor (aka anti-Rob) abound. We also discuss MondoCon's absence in 2018 and take an extended dive into the recent film Hereditary and the artwork by Randy Ortiz. Just keep being you, Mondo.

Episode 308: Printing the Future of Entertainment! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:18:30

This week the boys sit down and chat about all kinds of stuff. All kinds. Wearing drinks kinds. Tune in for all the latest from E3, Luke's delve into 3D printing, and Patrick's penchant for replacing IRL human connection with a dark room with a screen. It's a good one!

Episode 307: Sandbox Interview with commercial illustrator and full-time freelancer Robert Bruno | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:43:26

Thanks to a connection through /r/posternews, this week we are sitting down with the supremely talented commercial illustrator Robert Bruno. Certainly Bruno has an impressive client list (Disney, Marvel, Lucasfilm, ESPN, to name a few), but I walked away from this interview more impressed with how easy Bruno makes a conversation. We drift from his style to sports, detour to The Office, bring it back to scheduling and finish up with talk of lighting progression. Levity abounds and se does casual wisdom. Definitely want to listen to this one.
