We have returned once again for a riveting episode of the Throttled Podcast!!.  Unfortunately both Larry and I were unable to get any motorcycle riding in, however given the short timeframe between episodes this time I can let it slide. We start off our show once again with our retread section: First up in the retread was the EPA admitting they messed up and got caught. After that I admit that modulating head lights are legal in Alabama, in fact they are legal for motorcycles everywhere.  Larry makes a great point that if you use modulating lights there are guidelines and that you might want to keep a copy of the federal statute that allows them for motorcycles. Moving on to new news we cover a new Yamaha announcement with the FJ-07 – Tracer 700, 2 weeks in a row…way to go Yamaha. A recall notice went out for the Triumph Street Twin. Here we go again!  Man this was a fun show we discuss several different things: I give a quick review of the Yoshimura RS-4 slip on exhaust.  In our retread section Larry discusses some new stats on “Blacked-out” bikes. I also take a jab at the LoudPipes and Motorcycle Men for me seemingly getting more riding in this past week (via Eat, Sleep, Ride).  Hey, It’s all in fun guys! In our news section we cover: Yamaha teasing us with the MWT-9 launch, we mention the growing popularity of these types of bikes. Yamaha also lets some lucky person get a glimpse of a new smaller Tenere that is setup well for the dirt from what we can see. And you might of just heard about Harley announcing the 2016 Roadster, in short we like it, we wanna ride it. Welcome back to the Throttled Podcast.  We are so glad you decided to join us again.  On this show we introduce a new segment to the show “The Retread”.  The retread is for discussing news or topics that we have covered in the past.  In this weeks show our Retread section covers: New EPA rules (adjusted really) MV Agusta declaring bankruptcy Our new item is the announcement that the MT-10 from Yamaha is coming to Canada as the FZ-10. We then get into a discussion about the black out design motif that is occurring in motorcycle design.  We acknowledge that they are great looking but ponder the possible safety concerns from blending into your surroundings. Important Note!!!  We had a little audio issue this week and sometimes Larry’s voice is very faint.  We are aware and working on this issue for our next show.  Sorry for the technical problems.  This week Larry and I discuss the weekly news as always and open a discussion into motorcycle camping?  I go into hammock camping and how it is intriguing enough for me to spend the past several months figuring out what is needed to camp off the ground for once.  Of course we cover the news: Sena has a new camera out. A custom Harley competition introduces a one off Harley adv concept.  Is Harley paying attention? AMA is supporting a California bill to add penalties to hit and run drivers. And finally a Army vet stands up to a would be bike-jacker by fighting for his ride and having it totaled by the would be thief running it over in a truck.  Good on Kawasaki for stepping in and providing a replacement for our former serviceman. Once again I am back and Larry Lanes once again joins me on the show.  We discuss the interesting parts of the internet this week.  I talk about my trip out to Las Vegas and my bike rental experience on a Indian Chieftain.  We then get into a discussion on windshield/helmet buffeting.  As always you can find the links to the news articles below: Samsung’s “Smart” Windshield EBR has released pricing information that I think makes these bikes pretty attractive. Honda gives us a few different African Twin models to chose from. I take time to discuss an article where a cop accidentally shoots a motorcycle rider.  I might get a little to preachy here in the show, however handling being pulled over by a cop the correct way is more important on a bike in my opinion.  Before I get to that however we talk about several news articles from the past few weeks.
