Stamford Chidge is joined by Chelsea Legend, Kerry Dixon to discuss the draw in midweek against Liverpool and look ahead to this Saturday's crucial match against Arsenal. Chidge & Kerry talk about the draw against Liverpool and feel that it was definitely a case of a point gained rather than two dropped, especially thanks to our nearest rivals all dropping points. While for Chidge, Kante and Luiz were the stand out players, Kerry applauded the team effort and was particularly impressed with Luiz's free-kick. Turning to Arsenal this weekend, Kerry gives us his views on Arsene Wenger and whether it will make any difference with him not being on the bench; will Arsenal be keen to bounce back after their defeat against Watford or will Chelsea be more keen to put to rights their defeat at the Emirates Stadium earlier in the season. Kerry Dixon joins Stamford Chidge to look back at the win against Hull and preview the FA Cup tie v Brentford and the massive match against Liverpool next Tuesday. Kerry and Chidge admit the win against Hull was much tougher than they thought, but after all, these are the wins you have to grind out if you want to win the title. Thank goodness for Diego Costa who again scored the crucial goal and seems to have his head back in the game. Another who's head appears to be back in the game is Courtois and his performances this season are contributing hugely to Chelsea's defensive solidity and success. Kerry believes that if he keeps this up he will undoubtedly be the best goalkeeper in the world. Let's hope Chelsea can keep hold of him! Kerry gives us his unique insight in to what it's like to be unsettled by a club coming in for you and offering big money. Can you put it behind you and knuckle down and put in 100% for the team and will Costa? Whilst praising the football played by Willian-Hazard-Pedro against Leicester, Kerry argues that it's very much 'plan b' and that we really do need a focused and firing Costa to maintain our title challenge. Looking at the match against Hull City on Sunday, Chidge and Kerry can't see anything other than a healthy Chelsea win but even though we have a good lead on our title rivals, this is no time to get complacent with crucial matches against Liverpool and Arsenal coming up. Whilst downhearted by the defeat to rivals Sp*rs last night Chidge and Kerry take comfort in the fact that Chelsea are still five points clear at top of the league. In truth the match was a cagey, scrappy and tight affair and decided by fine margins. As Gary Cahill said, we'll go again! Looking to the 3rd Round FA Cup tie against Peterborough on Sunday Kerry recalls some of his experiences playing for Chelsea in the FA Cup as well as pondering some of the changes Conte may make to the side.
