 The Kerry Dixon Show 03/11/18 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:28:58

Stamford Chidge is joined by Chelsea legend Kerry Dixon to look back to the wins against Derby County and Burnley and look ahead to this weekends match against Crystal Palace There was a great reception for Frank Lampard & Jody Morris as Chelsea took on Derby County in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday in a somewhat bonkers match – Derby played well and were unlucky not to win. Was this in part due to some dodgy Chelsea defending with the B team defence of Emerson, Cahill, Christensen and Zappacosta - are they not good enough or just rusty? On the plus side we had more minutes for Loftus Cheek and Willian continuing his recent good form. What did Kerry think of the performances of Mason Mount & Tomori? With Chelsea still unbeaten in all games and Bournemouth next in the quarter finals, can we smell another trophy? How important is it for Sarri? Was it performance of the season against Burnley or were Burnley just poor? Should we be considered serious title challengers? Did the win against Burnley prove that Chelsea can play well, score and win without Hazard?  With Chelsea playing Crystal Palace on Sunday, we hope that Hazard will be fit. The rest of the team picks itself but will Barkley to start ahead of Kovacic? Finally Chidge and Kerry discuss the need to keep the unbeaten run going; keep pressure on at the top and show no complacency. Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs could all drop points this weekend and we have tougher games against Everton at home and spurs away next. Apologies, but there is a technical fault on the recording this week with an echo on Kerry's contribution.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

In part three, we look back at the Bate Borisov match and Ruben Loftus Cheek’s hat-trick and look ahead to the return of Frank Lampard and Jody Morris on Wednesday when Chelsea play Derby County in the Carabao cup. We also give you another chance to enter the competition to win a very rare DVD of the Bobby Tambling film – Bobby Tambling 202 – signed by the great man himself. Chelsea FanCast on Love Sport Radio - the only 100% Chelsea show on the radio! Dan Silver and Jonathan Kydd are joined by Love Sport's Aaron Paul to discuss Chelsea's win against Southampton; the future of Ross Barkley and Mason Mount plus John Terry - Captain, Leader, Legend. Does the win against Saints last weekend mean that Chelsea can challenge for the title and are they ahead of schedule? With Ross Barkley recalled to the England team and beginning to make an impact at Chelsea, ow good can he be and can he make the left mid spot his own? What does this mean for Ruben Loftus Cheek who was not picked for England - does he have to move?  Mason Mount was selected for England ahead of Ruben Loftus Cheek and has impressed for Frank Lampard’s Derby but is England selection too soon and should he be allowed to play against Chelsea in the Carabao Cup? Eden Hazard has had an outstanding season so far for Chelsea but was flirting with Real Madrid again this week. Should he stay? Will he stay or would it be understandable if he went in the summer? If he does go what kind of fee should we accept and who could replace him. Will he be forgiven by the Chelsea fans Chelsea launched an anti-Semitism re-education project this week with visits to Auschwitz and re-education by Chelsea’s diversity team offered instead of 3 year ban for racist behaviour. Is it a good idea? Will it work and should other clubs consider this? With John Terry announcing his retirement this week we ask is he the Premier Leagues greatest ever defender? What about the controversies - justified criticism or media agenda and opposition fan envy? What will his legacy be and what are our personal memories of JT? Finally with Chelsea playing Man Utd next weekend, will Utd play like Burnley or Brazil and will Mourinho get fired if Chelsea win? Stamford Chidge, Dan Silver and Jonathan Kydd are joined by Love Sport's Aaron Paul to discuss Chelsea's win against Mol Vidi in the Europa League and look ahead to this weekends match against Southampton. On a frustrating night against Mol Vidi, Morata finally finds the back of the net but does this mean he can turn his form around and what about his emotional behavior during the match? Hazard had to come to the rescue again but does this mean we are too reliant on him and why can’t Chelsea put teams away at the moment and with a number of squad players getting a game how did they do and does the absence of youth players tell us that Sarri is taking the cup competitions seriously or does he just not rate them? Looking ahead to Southampton Chidge explains why this is such a popular away match for Chelsea supporters (which has nothing to do with it being 20 minutes down the road for him); we have the 'Opposition View' from Ben of Total Saints Podcast and we ask will Sarri stick with Morata or give Giroud a chance to repeat his two goal heroics of last season's fixture.
