The Isolation Session: Vol. 9 - Jesse Adkins. (Smash Your Enemies. Born Of Hate. Cold As Life) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:34:29

The ninth in a series of podcasts during the Coronavirus pandemic. "The Isolation Sessions". My guest is Jesse Adkins. Singer for Detroit hardcore band "Smash Your Enemies", "Born Of Hate" and former singer for legendary band "Cold As Life". I met Jesse a few years back when "Cold As Life" played my friend "Ratbones'" 50th Birthday Party Show in Brooklyn. We stayed in touch via social media and met up again a couple years back at "This Is Hardcore". He's always been a super nice guy and have mutual respect for each other. He's also a huge horror movie fan. So I figured I'd reach out to have a conversation with my boy from Detroit. We talk about Detroit, his bands, a little about his hard upbringing, horror movies and how Rob Zombie should stick to making "White Zombie" music. I have nothing but respect for him. Enjoy!

The Isolation Sessions: Vol. 8 - Danny O'Connor. (The Outsiders House Museum. DBUET. La Coka Nostra) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:06:32

The eighth in a series of podcasts during the Coronavirus pandemic. "The Isolation Sessions". My guest is "Danny Boy" O'Connor. Curator at "The Outsiders House Museum" in Tulsa, Oklahoma, founder of the "Delta Bravo Urban Exploration Team", as well as founding member of both "La Coka Nostra" and "House of Pain". Danny was on a short episode of the podcast a couple years back. That was the first time I had a full conversation with him. Since then, I've gotten to know him and he's one of the most genuine people I know. We discuss the Urban Exploration Team as well as what he has done with the purchase of the house that the movie "The Outsiders" was filmed at. Support him and his non-profit passion. He deserves it and is constantly giving back. Hope you enjoy this. Stay Gold.

The seventh in a series of podcasts during the Coronavirus pandemic. "The Isolation Sessions". My guest is a former, retired undercover ATF Special Agent who infiltrated all five Mafia Families in New York and is responsible for taking down the infamous contract killer Richard "The Iceman" Kuklinski... ladies and gentlemen, Dominick Polifrone. We discuss his background growing up in North Jersey and into his career as a cop then jump right into him meeting up with "Made Guys" and building trust amongst them. Getting kilos of cocaine, heroin, machine guns, silencers, dynamite, stolen property, swag... all on consignment. Then of course we go into "The Iceman". His first time meeting him all the way up to him bringing him down. It was a pleasure speaking with this man. Enjoy!

Ep. 155 - The Worldwide Hardcore Firing Squad. | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:48:02

Most of the time I have people on the show that are performers of some sort, whether it's a member of a band, a comedian or a rapper. Well why not have guests on that capture what they do for those who couldn't make the show? So Steven J. Messina came up with the idea and actually put this one together. I'm joined by him, Tim Daley and Rich Zoeller. We discuss everything from what drew them to picking up a camera to past shows we all happened to be at. A lot of cool hardcore and show talk and some usual banter that The Brooklyn Blast Furnace brings. They're right in the mix taking shots from a small but hectic mosh pit to different beautiful countries around the world. Support these guys! Enjoy!

The Isolation Sessions: Vol. 6 - Mike Valente. Ray Mazzola. Andy Parsons. (Brick By Brick) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:21:05

The sixth in a series of podcasts during the Coronavirus pandemic. "The Isolation Sessions". My guests are Mike Valente, Ray Mazzola and Andy Parsons... three of the four members of the Hardcore/Metal band "Brick By Brick" from Upstate New York. We talk about the earlier days of the band and the line-up changes, previous releases and what's in the works presently. The majority is banter and some tour stories. Andy fills us in on his super powers, Mike tells some people to fuck off and Ray enjoys a drink and a cigar in sunny Texas while Andy has a foot of snow outside his door all while Valente enjoys his Jack Daniels in anticipation of sending out the specially distilled Brick By Brick version. Enjoy!

 Ep. 154 - Davey Hooligan. (Enziguri) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:19:47

Recorded before the pandemic... Hardcore from the Boogie Down Bronx ladies and gentlemen! Recorded at "Generation Records", my guest on Episode 154 of The Brooklyn Blast Furnace Podcast is Davey Hooligan, the singer for "Enziguri". We talk a lot of hardcore in this one. Our influences, memorable shows from years ago, influences, his former band, the formation of "Enziguri" and a whole lot in between. Of course with a distraction from some weirdo who was 6 inches from him rifling through used CD's right in the middle of recording, and why wouldn't this guy completely dismiss that we're recording ova here!? Davey is a great guy and lives, loves and supports hardcore. Support "Enziguri". They deserve it. Enjoy.

The Isolation Sessions: Vol. 5 - Scott Vogel. (Terror. Buried Alive. World Be Free. Slugfest) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:16:34

The fifth in a series of podcasts during the Coronavirus pandemic. "The Isolation Sessions". My guest is Scott Vogel. Singer for the legendary hardcore band "Terror". Also "Buried Alive", "World Be Free", "Slugfest and "Despair". He was also in a short lived project called "Cinder Block". Me and Scott have been planning to do an episode for a very long time face to face. We will still do that eventually. But in the meantime, we did an episode via Skype. We talk everything from the coronavirus pandemic, to his bands, to hip hop and horror movies. One of my all time favorite bands and a great guy. I'm looking forward to sitting down with him sooner than later and recording part two when things return back to what we remember as being "normal". Terror Rules! Enjoy.

 Ep. 153 - Craig Loydgren. (Comedian & Paranormal Investigator) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:48:51

Recorded at supposedly one of the most haunted locations in the United States,The Kreischer Mansion on Staten Island. My guest is comedian and paranormal investigator, Craig Loydgren. If you're unaware of The Kreischer Mansion, please Google it for yourself. We discuss the history of this house throughout this episode. I am not necessarily a "believer" in ghosts and whatnot, but I have to say, this house definitely has something about it that was off. Noises, the inside of the house remains anywhere from 10 to 15 degrees colder that the outside temperature, a freezing breeze that blew onto my back and neck out of nowhere while sitting in the middle of a dining room with no doors or windows open and several other things. Ok... so... Craig Loydgren is trusted and has keys to this house that is now landmarked. He is a stand up comic and has a special out now on Amazon Prime called "Married and Miserable"... go check it out. And... I hope you enjoy this episode. It's definitely different, and was a very interesting experience. Respect.

The Isolation Sessions: Vol. 4 - Rich Frein (Former Biohazard Manager. Bouncer. Man on the Scene) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:33:20

The fourth in a series of podcasts during the Coronavirus pandemic. "The Isolation Sessions". My guest is Rich Frein. Rich was the first manager for "Biohazard" in the very early days. The majority of this episode is about those times. He also worked with and helped "White Zombie" before they broke big with the first Geffen Record "La Sexorcisto: Devil Music Vol. 1". He bounced at clubs all over New York City during the 80's and early 90's. He's been around forever and has hours upon hours on stories from first hand experience. Enjoy!

 Ep. 152 - Mark Yoshitomi. (The Casualties/Generation Recs) & Ron Grimaldi. (Deathcycle) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:18:22

Before the coronavirus debacle, I got together with Mark Yoshitomi and Ron Grimaldi at "Generation Records" in the West Village to record this crazy episode. Mark is co-owner of "Generation Records" and is also a founding member and former bass player for the New York Punk Rock band "The Casualties". And if you listened to Episode 121, you know who Ron Grimaldi is. The singer for "Deathcycle" and also works at the record store a couple days a week. I had no idea where this episode would go. It definitely went in a direction I wasn't expecting. I laughed throughout this thing. We go a little into how Mark got involved with punk rock and "The Casualties" and a bit about the record store. Then... we dive into the final G.G. Allin show at "The Gas Station" where it became complete chaos and a legendary final show since G.G. died of an overdose later that night. From "The Gas Station" to creepy houses in order to buy record collections and back to the guy in the lawn chair innocently reading a book when G.G. Allin decided to sit on his lap while being covered in feces, blood and whatever else you can think of. I enjoyed this one a lot. I hope you get a kick out of this one. Enjoy.

 The Isolation Sessions: Vol. 3 - Sean Killian. (Vio-Lence) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:09:48

The third in a series of podcasts during the Coronavirus pandemic. "The Isolation Sessions". Ladies and Gentlemen... the singer for the legendary Bay Area Thrash band "Vio-Lence"... Sean Killian is my guest! The raw Skype video is uploaded to the Brooklyn Blast Furnace YouTube page as well. This was bucket list for me, as you will hear in the beginning of this episode. Definitely one of my favorite meal bands and my favorite overall from the Bay Area. We talk about this Coronavirus debacle, the history of the band, stories about recording some of the past records and their new deal with Metal Blade Records. There's new music on the horizon which includes the newest member, Bobby Gustafson, formerly of Overkill. My inner 15 year old self was having a fanboy moment throughout this episode. Thank you Sean! I hope you enjoy this one. Stay safe and hose yourselves off people. Respect. We close this episode with "Calling in the Coroner" from their first full length record "Eternal Nightmare" and "I Profit" from their sophomore record "Oppressing the Masses".

The Isolation Sessions: Vol. 2 - Wema Maduhu. (Knuckedust. Ironed Out. Everyone But Us Podcast) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:56:08

The second in a series of podcasts during the Coronavirus pandemic. "The Isolation Sessions". This time around my guest is the guitarist of UK Hardcore band "Knuckledust", the bass player for "Ironed Out" and a co-host of the "Everyone Bus Us" podcast... Wema Maduhu! We had a lengthy conversation via Skype about the differences and similarities on how our respective governments are handling the Coronavirus pandemic. We go into the formation of his bands starting with "Knuckledust" and how they helped catapult the London hardcore scene. Then we go into "Ironed Out" and finally what inspired him to start his podcast, "Everyone But Us" who is also on the Dark Satellite Media network. Wema is the man! We could've spoken for another hour at least. I hope you all enjoy this one! Stay safe, hose yourselves off and wash your grimy hands people! Respect.  EP. 151 - Chris Enriquez. (Spotlights. Revolver Magazine. Total Meltdown) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:38:59

Way back on Episode 43, Mario and Sarah Quintero of the three piece band "Spotlights" were the guests on the show. So, my former co-host John Lamacchia put me in touch with the drummer for "Spotlights", my guest on Episode 151 of The Brooklyn Blast Furnace Podcast... Chris Enriquez. Chris also works for "Revolver Magazine", has played in "Primitive Weapons", filled in on drums for "Beyond" and "Shai Hulud" and now plays guitar in a new hardcore project called "Total Meltdown". His main band, "Spotlights" will be doing a two week run on tour with "Faith No More" and "Korn". We talk about his new band and stepping out from behind the drums and doing something out of his wheelhouse as well as his job at "Revolver". I had never formally met him until the night this was recorded and it couldn't have went better. Super nice guy and an unbelievably talented musician. Enjoy.

Ep. 150 - Vinnie Stigma & Mike Gallo: Part 2. (Agnostic Front. Stigma) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:07:08

The Godfather of Hardcore... Vinnie Stigma and Mike Gallo of "Agnostic Front" and "Stigma" are back for Episode 150 of The Brooklyn Blast Furnace Podcast! It's been 123 episodes since these gentlemen were on. Stigma had me over his house in Little Italy to play catch up and chop it up about what's been going on. From the new record, "Get Loud", touring, Mike Gallo's original artwork, a buncha banter, Stigma stories and we even touch on the events of 9.11.2001. A couple stand up gentlemen who I respect highly. I hope you enjoy this one! Respect.

The Isolation Sessions: Vol. 1 - Billy Graziadei. (Biohazard. Billy Bio. PowerFlo) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:10:10

The first in a series of podcasts during the Coronavirus pandemic. "The Isolation Sessions". I always said that i'd never do an episode unless it was face to face. Well, never say never. Under the circumstances I feel it's necessary. My first guest is Billy Graziadei from "Biohazard", "Billy Bio" and "PowerFlo". It was his idea to do a Skype interview and he also came up with the name of these episodes. The audio isn't the greatest due to it being a Skype call over Wifi from across the country. But you get the gist. Not much else could be done about that. Anyway, I always wanted this guy on the show and being that he's out in Los Angeles, the timing would have to be perfect and he's not on the East Coast very often and I'm never in California. One day we'll sit down in person and do another one. Plus, if you go to "The Brooklyn Blast Furnace Podcast" group on Facebook, I also posted the actual Skype video. "Biohazard" is one of my all time favorite bands and is probably the band that i've seen most in my life. And his solo band "Billy Bio" is awesome and so is PowerFlo with him and Sen Dog from "Cypress Hill". Anyway, I hope you enjoy this one. Again, my apologies for the shotty audio. Respect.
