 Ep. 114 - Josh Waste. (Urban Waste) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:29:44

I find myself back in "Waste Studios" in Queens. I was here on Episode 75 when I spoke to Johnny Waste, the founder and guitarist of Urban Waste... well now it's time for Josh Waste to tell his story. Having the torch passed to him to front the legendary NYHC band by original singer Kenny Ahrens (RIP), Josh has played a huge part in keeping the band together and consistently playing shows around the country. He has a great story lives for Punk and Hardcore. He had a smile on his face for this entire conversation. Great guy, great band and a great time doing this one. I hope you all enjoy this one. Respect.

The Homie, the Graffiti Legend... OJae FYC returns along with his long time friend and graffiti artist DEAR FYC. Stories about bombing in NYC when the city was grimy and nowhere near as pretty as it is now. How it was hitting the Manhattan Bridge for the first time with holes on the catwalk going all the way down to either the street or the water. These guys have a lot of both good and crazy memories that they share here. Definitely a good time. I hope you enjoy this. Respect.

Ep. 112 - Mike Kruel. (Former Pro-Wrestler from the Indies to the WWE) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:38:53

"Mike Kruel". Mike had a very interesting run in the pro wrestling world. From different independents like Ohio Valley Wrestling where he was Heavyweight Champion to Florida Championship Wrestling eventually leading up to the WWE. This is for the wrestling fans, especially if you are a fan of the WWF in the 80's. His father wrestled as well under the name "The Bodyguard for Hire" whom we also speak about. Mike tells stories about meeting Vince Mcmahon, Captain Lou Albano, Jimmy Snuka and even Greg "The Hammer" Valentine staying over his house, wrestling Tito Santana and even wrestling Chris Benoit just a few months before the murder/suicide. Mike has an extremely interesting wrestling history. I hope you enjoy this very different episode. This was A LOT of fun to do.

 Ep. 111 - Diabolic: Phase 3 - The Disconnect. | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:31:33

His new record, The Disconnect, recently dropped so... go listen to Episode 111 of The Brooklyn Blast Furnace Podcast with everybody's favorite scumbag from Suffolk County... for the third time! Never a dull moment with the homie Diabolic that's for sure. I met up with him at the usual spot... "The Colony Bar" in Huntington Station, Long Island... well, it didn't last too long after some shenanigans went down. We shut it down and pick back up at another dive bar a mile or two down the street where we touch on what happened for a minute. As usual, we're all over the place in what's probably the most chaotic and unpredictable episode that I've done with him so far. His newest record, "The Disconnect" dropped as we were recording and we spoke about how he's going about this record and dropping multiple videos in a row. Strap in people, this is a strange one. Always a good time with this maniac. Respect.

Ep. 110 - Richie Birkenhead. (Into Another. Underdog. Youth of Today) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:07:59

He played guitar on the first Youth of Today record, he sang for the legendary Underdog and is the singer for Into Another. Richie Birkenhead has been around the hardcore scene for decades. I met him at his office which is about 2 blocks from Ground Zero. A very smart guy who, in his own words is, "just a middle aged man trying to navigate through life in a very strange time". We discuss his hardcore roots, his decision a long time ago to go vegan, and carry all the way up to "Into Another" playing this years "This is Hardcore" festival, which unfortunately they recently had to cancel due to an unforeseen medical condition. This gets a bit political but not too much. I happened to agree with the majority of what he says. Much respect and as always... thanks for the support and for listening. Enjoy.

Ep. 109 - Apache Ramos. (Actor. The Warriors. Warchief of The Orphans) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 02:03:06

You probably know him from the movie "The Warriors". He was the Warchief of the Orphans from the Tremont section of the Bronx. But he's so much more than that small, but iconic role. Apache Ramos invited me to his house in Flushing, Queens to do this podcast. His daughter (and manager), Jaz, and the rest of his family couldn't have been more hospitable or nicer. Jaz joins us during this episode as well. We take it all the way back to his childhood, being in plays out in California, how he got the role in "The Warriors", which in a lot of ways changed the course of his life. We discuss his career in the music business being an A&R for "Streetwise" Records. Touring with "New Edition" and the "Fat Boys" amongst a ton of other legendary musicians. He has been in several movies including the short film "High & Tight" which caught the attention of the Oscars. He's an extremely interesting man with amazing stories and an awesome attitude towards life and his family. I hope you enjoy this episode. I loved doing this one for sure! "We're Gonna Rain on you Warriors!" Respect.

Ep. 107 - Greg Stone. (Comedian. Co-Host of The Rad Dudecast & The Cerebros Podcast) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:17:01

Comedian and Co-Host of "The Rad Dudecast" and the "Cerebros" podcast... Greg Stone! I initially found out about him by listening to "Robert Kelly 's YKWD Podcast" where Greg told a story about his brother(which I had no idea was his brother at the time)"Joey Southside" aka "The Wolf", the singer for "The Banner" was gonna throw Jerry Seinfeld a beatin'. So I reached out to see if he'd shoot the shit with me about comedy and whatever else we felt like bullshitting about. Great guy. Funny shit. Enjoy!

Ep. 106 - All City Graffiti Legend: OJae FYC | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:11:13

If you know, you know. If you don't, you're about to find out. NYC Graffiti writer "OJae" linked up with me to talk about bombing. Since he started destroying the city in 1986, he has built up a legendary rep within the graffiti world. Running with the king of graffiti, "JA" and dozens of well known and all city writers, he's done some damage. Never bagged by the cops for being a vandal is unheard of... he's the exception. We talk about all of this and then some. Missions, beef and near death experiences. I hope you enjoy this. Much respect and as always, thanks for listening and the continued support.

 Ep. 105 - Howie Abrams Part 2: The Resume... Ridiculous. | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:51:31

It has been 85 episodes since I had on the one and only... the man with the insane resume, Howie Abrams on. It was long overdue. I always enjoy speaking with him. He created the legendary "In-Effect Records' with Steve Martin, formerly of Agnostic Front. He released classic New York Hardcore albums such as the debut full length from Sick Of It All "Blood, Sweat and No Tears", Scatterbrain, 24-7 Spyz, the first time the Bad Brains Roir cassette was released on CD... yup, Howie did that. He signed Vision Of Disorder to Roadrunner Records along with Dog Eat Dog and several others. He has written several books such as "Hip Hop Alphabet" and "Hip Hop Alphabet 2" with Kaves from the Lordz of Brooklyn which was released the day we recorded this. He's working on a Sick Of It All book focusing on The Koller Brothers. The man has an extensive resume that dates back to the early 80's. Sit back and enjoy this conversation with a very important piece of the underground hardcore and metal scene. Respect.

Ep. 104 - Ian McFarland. (Film Director, Producer & Editor. Blood For Blood) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:16:23

Ian McFarland is an Emmy nominated and Award winning Film Director, Producer, Editor and Bass player for the Legendary "Blood For Blood". We caught up at the Pennsylvania Hotel across the street from Madison Square Garden to speak mostly about his film, "The Godfathers of Hardcore". In my opinion, the greatest hardcore/punk rock related film to date. Focusing mainly on the lives of the most influential people in underground music... Roger Miret and Vinny Stigma of "Agnostic Front". This was a lot of fun to have the opportunity to do, especially being a huge fan of the film, "Agnostic Front" and his band "Blood For Blood". Thank you for everything Ian. "The Godfathers of Hardcore" is available on all streaming platforms worldwide! The photo of Vinny Stigma that Ian spoke about was taken by Justin Borucki. justinborucki.com

Our friendly Neighborhood Knucklehead! Owner of R&D Tattoo in Queens, New York, singer for the New York Hardcore band "Caught In A Trap" and one of the hosts of the "Neighborhood Knucklehead Podcast". Rich Fie ladies and gentlemen! I caught up with him at his tattoo shop after hours to sit and talk about tattoos and music. Well... that kinda happened. We babble on and on about a lot of shit here. It was a lot of fun to shoot the shit with a true New Yorker. We talk bands, movies, food, hip hop and a bunch of other various topics. All New York shit. I hope you enjoy this episode. Definitely a fun one for me. Respect.

Ep. 102 - Michael Pelczar. (Spooky Staten Island) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:13:34

Meet Michael Pelczar. He is the Founder and Creator of "Spooky Staten Island: Unearthing Secrets from the Forgotten Borough". Definitely something a bit different for the podcast, but something that I find interesting, and hopefully you will by the end of this episode. I met up with Michael, along with my girlfriend Nikki (who is extremely interested in this type of stuff) on the courthouse steps in Historic Richmond Town, on Staten Island to find out more of what Michael does. It's hard to put into words everything that was covered without writing down the entire episode word for word. But, we discuss hauntings, paranormal activity, and even delve into, the "Ouija" board. Yes, the "Ouija" board. You may be surprised at what gets discussed here. I hope you enjoy this one. It's different and a little bit of a break from what I usually do, but it was definitely fun to talk about this stuff. - Follow on Instagram here https://www.instagram.com/spookystatenisland - Join the Facebook Group here https://www.facebook.com/groups/2206001846157850/ - Follow the Facebook Page here https://www.facebook.com/spookystatenisland/
