 Episode 84: Decktrospective I | File Type: audio/mpeg3 | Duration: Unknown

Join Peter and Frank for our first decktrospective (no idea what that name means - hopefully someone will clear it up for us), in which we take a deck sent in by a patron and take it apart, like the restoration of an antique vase or two petrolheads doing automobile fanboying or whatever it is car-people like doing. This time, it's an Ashcan Pete deck: https://arkhamdb.com/decklist/view/5825/pete-duke-and-yaotl-desperate-synergy-3.0 We're also lucky to appear as guests on Unlucky Frog Gaming's podcast.  Episode 83: Visions of Futures Past IV | File Type: audio/mpeg3 | Duration: Unknown

Join Peter and Frank for the fourth of Drawn to the Flame's Visions of Futures Past, where we announce a forthcoming player card to the community. We're delighted FFG have asked us to do this again, after Storm of Spirits, Time Warp & Custom Ammunition, and really hugely excited to share this card with everyone. So dive in for a new card that's coming up in The Depths of Yoth! But that's not all: we're also announcing the results of our competition, where we asked listeners to pair an investigator with a scenario in a thematic way. The entries were all excellent and deeply enjoyable, so tune in as we go through some favourites, and award a copy of Carnevale of Horrors, a live play episode and player tokens and board from Buy the Same Token!  To read the entries, click here Amazing logo courtesy of this guy Join Drawn to the Flame on Patreon: www.patreon.com/drawntotheflame Listen on iTunes: right here Subscribe to our RSS via Feedburner: right here Direct download: right here Email us on drawntotheflamepodcast@gmail.com Twitter is here and Facebook is here.  Episode 82: Think on your Feet VIII | File Type: audio/mpeg3 | Duration: Unknown

Join Frank for the eighth Think on your Feet, in which Calvin Wright – or his successor – continues investigations into the madness and mystery surrounding the King in Yellow. In Think on your Feet episodes, a live play series of Arkham Horror: The Card Game, I endeavour not to edit much at all. Sometimes I cut a bit of shuffling sounds or abbreviate some of my longer pauses (a chap's got to think!), but otherwise, it's uncut, unaltered and meant to feel like you're with me at the table. There may be mistakes and misplays, but hopefully some successes too. In light of the Patreon support and because I want to enhance listening to Drawn to the Flame, I've added some atmospheric details too. Hopefully they elevate the experience. Toot toot! This is the first episode recorded with my new microphone. I hope the sound is crisper and clearer, but I welcome any feedback - not of an audio kind...! If you're not sure about any of my lines of play or otherwise confused, ask away. Here's the deck before A Phantom of Truth: https://arkhamdb.com/deck/view/214987.   Here's the deck before The Pallid Mask: https://arkhamdb.com/deck/view/215018.  During the edit I spotted a misplay I made while playing. At 1hr17 minutes, I believe I spawned a docent at 'any unrevealed location' rather than the nearest unrevealed... I'm not 100% sure on that though.  Episode 81: Frank's First Look at The City of Archives | File Type: audio/mpeg3 | Duration: Unknown

Will Frank be on his own, a sacrifice to the elder gods, as he tries to fathom the player cards from The Forgotten Age's fourth mythos pack, The City of Archives? Or perhaps this will be his pay day, as he may just have a special guest on the line... Of note: we talked a smidge about Pay Day + Fence as a post-final action play, and playing events with On Your Own with zero resources. We're not sure if we got the rules right on either and as soon as we know, we'll let you know... STOP PRESS: Matt tells us we got it right on both! Phew.  Episode 80: Return to... Drawn to the Flame? | File Type: audio/mpeg3 | Duration: Unknown

Join Peter and Frank for a brief Good Question style episode, in which they try out their new microphones (thank you so bloomin' much, patrons!), look at the newly announced Return to the Dunwich Legacy box, and ask each other Good Questions (TM), the answers of which prove... interesting!  Episode 79: Slumber Party | File Type: audio/mpeg3 | Duration: Unknown

Join Frank and Peter for a little slumber party (lol!), as they settle in, after playing The Endless Slumber together, to discuss their investigators and talk about the competition that's still ongoing (entries can be sent in to the details below). This is just a short, spoiler-free episode because we were together in the flesh and didn't want to pass up the opportunity to record!  Episode 78: Think on your Feet VII | File Type: audio/mpeg3 | Duration: Unknown

Join Frank for the seventh Think on your Feet, in which Calvin Wright continues his investigations into the madness and mystery surrounding the King in Yellow. At 26 minutes, I believe I take a 4 action turn. Little good it did me anyway!  Episode 77: Frank's First Look at Heart of the Elders | File Type: audio/mpeg3 | Duration: Unknown

Take heart! Intrepid Frank dives into another first look, this time for Heart of the Elders, the third mythos pack in The Forgotten Age cycle. And he's not doing it alone, joined by a friendly voice (not Olive's, not Lola's) from across the pond. Thank you for taking the time to be on the podcast!  Episode 76: Triple Threat | File Type: audio/mpeg3 | Duration: Unknown

Join Peter and Frank for a bag of Arkham allsorts: we look at Then It Multiplied, the first designer challenge laid down by Matt Newman, then some fantastic tokens and player boards by Buy The Same Token, and finally: a competition! Your chance to win prizes (plural! more than one prize!). Check out Buy The Same Token on Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/BuyTheSameToken#about or Ebay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/buythesametoken They very generously gave us player boards to try out, and in return we provide our honest assessment of these accessories to help you decide if they're for you!  Episode 75: Visions of Futures Past III | File Type: audio/mpeg3 | Duration: Unknown

Join Peter and Frank for the third of Drawn to the Flame's Visions of Futures Past, where we announce a forthcoming player card to the community. We're delighted FFG have asked us to do this again, after Storm of Spirits and Time Warp, and really excited to share this card with everyone. So dive in for a new card that's coming up in Heart of the Elders!  Amazing logo courtesy of this guy Join Drawn to the Flame on Patreon: www.patreon.com/drawntotheflame Listen on iTunes: right here Subscribe to our RSS via Feedburner: right here Direct download: right here Email us on drawntotheflamepodcast@gmail.com Twitter is here and Facebook is here.  Episode 74: Frank's First Look at The Boundary Beyond | File Type: audio/mpeg3 | Duration: Unknown

Join Frank - and special guest! - for a first look at the new player cards of The Boundary Beyond, the second mythos pack in The Forgotten Age cycle. We're heading back to Mexico and I for one can't wait to take the initiative and cuddle a snake again! Hooray for snakes! Hope you're well prepared, totally a high roller and never cornered in this new scenario...  Episode 73: Think on your Feet VI | File Type: audio/mpeg3 | Duration: Unknown

Join Frank for the sixth Think on your Feet, in which Calvin Wright finds himself in the sleepy town of Arkham, taking a trip to the Ward Theatre for the premiere of The King in Yellow. I must say, it sounds delightful! There are mistakes and misplays a-plenty, but hopefully some successes too. But in this episode, in light of the Patreon support and because I want to take Drawn to the Flame to the next level, I've added some atmospheric details too. Hopefully they elevate the listening experience.  Here's the deck I started with: https://arkhamdb.com/deck/view/181479.   Here's the deck before The Last King: https://arkhamdb.com/deck/view/181498.  During the edit I spotted a couple of misplays I made while playing. At about 39 minutes I put a damage on 'the fire axe'. I meant fine clothes! My mind was addled by all the damage! And then another fine clothes bloop: when I'm hit by corrosion at 1hr14 or so, somehow I behave as though it's 2 cost rather than 1. Which is... weird. No wait, even weirder - I've convinced myself the gallery is 2 rather than 1 shroud, which is incredibly odd! So the fine clothes discard was correct. And at 1hr25 I seem to have forgotten how Dianne works, and I suggest I'd be cheating to move her to the bystander with the fewest clues, which is funny, since that's exactly what she *should* do! Aaaand at 1hr33 I forget to draw an encounter card... hypergah!  Episode 72: Jim Culver | File Type: audio/mpeg3 | Duration: Unknown

He's a dab hand on the trumpet and his music has the power to wake the dead. In the face of unspeakable creeping doom, he's unfazed, even cool. He's a mystic with the power to move you... ladies and gentleman, Mr Jim Culver! Join Peter and Frank for another investigator-specific episode in which they talk about the second mystic we received in the game, the Dunwich Legacy's very own Jim Culver. Jim has a trumpet and loves skulls, but is there more to this musician, particularly in light of the seal mechanic and the expanded cardpool? Let's find out! Episode 71: True Solo | File Type: audio/mpeg3 | Duration: Unknown

Join Frank and Peter as they talk about playing Arkham Horror solo... and not that two-handed malarkey we've been hearing rumours of, but the true solo, real solo, all by myself solo that's all the rage these days. Which investigators are good by themselves? What pitfalls might you want to avoid? Why am I still talking to myself?  Amazing logo courtesy of this guy Join Drawn to the Flame on Patreon: www.patreon.com/drawntotheflame Listen on iTunes: right here Subscribe to our RSS via Feedburner: right here Direct download: right here Email us on drawntotheflamepodcast@gmail.com Twitter is here and Facebook is here.  Episode 70: Frank (and Peter)'s First Look at Return to the Night of the Zealot | File Type: audio/mpeg3 | Duration: Unknown

Join Frank for a brief look at the new player cards in Return to the Night of the Zealot, and then hear Peter's Perspective on the cards, which is very interesting indeed! And we have a smidge of community news as try to add more things our listeners (and our patrons!) might enjoy!
