Episode 174: ToyF Extras | File Type: audio/mpeg3 | Duration: Unknown

Join Frank and Peter for a Think on your Feet planning and discussion episode. They look at the decks they want to take to The Dream-Eaters, they discuss the first interlude (The Black Cat) and they look at experience and upgraded cards for the decks. This episode was recorded in two parts, the first before the new series of Think on your Feet began, the second after the first two scenarios had been played - we explain that in the episode, but be prepared for some time jumps!  Episode 173: Think on your Feet XXV | File Type: audio/mpeg3 | Duration: Unknown

Join Frank for Think on your Feet XXV, in which he embarks on The Dream-Eaters.  In Think on your Feet episodes, a live play series of Arkham Horror: The Card Game, I endeavour not to edit much at all. Sometimes I cut some shuffling sounds or abbreviate some of my longer pauses (a chap's got to think!), but otherwise, it's uncut, unaltered and meant to feel like you're with me at the table. There may be mistakes and misplays, but hopefully some successes too.  At 53 minutes, the spawn instructions get a bit lost. At 2hrs-ish, I forget to flip a card, but it doesn't have too much of an impact.  Here's the first deck: CLICK ME Here's the second deck: CLICK ME  Amazing logo courtesy of this guy Join Drawn to the Flame on Patreon: www.patreon.com/drawntotheflame Buy Drawn to the Flame shirts, jumpers and mugs: www.designbyhumans.com/shop/drawntotheflame Listen on iTunes: right here Subscribe to our RSS via Feedburner: right here Direct download: right here Email us on drawntotheflamepodcast@gmail.com Twitter is here and Facebook is here.  Episode 172: Dreaming with Azathoth | File Type: audio/mpeg3 | Duration: Unknown

We're delighted to sit down (remotely) with Matt Newman, aka the Blind Idiot God, aka the lead developer of Arkham Horror to talk all things The Dream-Eaters (and a little bit of The Innsmouth Conspiracy). The first part of the episode, up to 1hr4mins we talk about the player cards and general goals of The Dream-Eaters, before moving into discussing the scenarios. Think of this as a director's commentary for the cycle. Thanks for taking the time to talk to us and the listeners of the cast, Matt! At 1hr30mins or so you can pick up some audio distortion (a fan, I think) on one of the lines. I've tried to remove it, but it does stop by itself after about 10 minutes. Sorry about that!  Amazing logo courtesy of this guy Join Drawn to the Flame on Patreon: www.patreon.com/drawntotheflame Buy Drawn to the Flame shirts, jumpers and mugs: www.designbyhumans.com/shop/drawntotheflame Listen on iTunes: right here Subscribe to our RSS via Feedburner: right here Direct download: right here Email us on drawntotheflamepodcast@gmail.com Twitter is here and Facebook is here.  Episode 171: Joe Diamond | File Type: audio/mpeg3 | Duration: Unknown

He's a blue-yellow hybrid who's always following hunches and never giving up the trail. In this episode Frank and Peter are focusing on Joe Diamond, the private investigator.  Episode 170: Calvin Wright | File Type: audio/mpeg3 | Duration: Unknown

He's pledged his life to save another's, dedicated to fighting against evil until the end of time. He can't escape the pact he made in the name of love. That's right, in this episode Frank and Peter are focusing on one investigator: Calvin Wright.  Episode 169: Think on your Feet XXIV | File Type: audio/mpeg3 | Duration: Unknown

Join Frank for Think on your Feet XXIV, in which, in this between-series break, he takes on a special scenario with a couple of different decks. At 35 minutes, I forget that enemies exhaust after they attack in the enemy phase, adding 2 doom when I should have added... ZERO! So quite punishing for me there. More generally I think my line of play at 30 minutes was wrong. I should've taken 2 resources and played Meat Cleaver, setting me up for tackling cultists more efficiently.  Episode 168: Many-Headed Failure | File Type: audio/mpeg3 | Duration: Unknown

Join Peter and Frank as they discuss failure in Arkham Horror. From failing tests to failing a campaign, we look at the challenges of failure, the way we talk about the game more generally and the importance of looking at our failures as well as our successes.  Support Drawn to the Flame on Patreon: www.patreon.com/drawntotheflame Amazing logo courtesy of this guy Buy Drawn to the Flame shirts, jumpers and mugs: www.designbyhumans.com/shop/drawntotheflame Listen on iTunes: right here Subscribe to our RSS via Feedburner: right here Direct download: right here Email us on drawntotheflamepodcast@gmail.com Twitter is here and Facebook is here.  Episode 167: Three Healthers | File Type: audio/mpeg3 | Duration: Unknown

Join Peter and Frank as they discuss enemies with three (and sometimes five) health. How do we handle these creatures? Why should they even be worth thinking about? What do the factions each have to deal with them?  Episode 165: Skills + Draft | File Type: audio/mpeg3 | Duration: Unknown

Join Peter and Frank as they announce the winner of their 'skill card that costs xp' competition and then settle in to talking about drafting for Arkham Horror, as well as drafting a deck on air.  Try out drafting: here Look at the deck we made here (for best results, listen to the episode first).  Episode 164: Think on your Feet XXIII | File Type: audio/mpeg3 | Duration: Unknown

Join Frank for Think on your Feet XXIII, in which Norman Withers returns to Arkham only to find reality disintegrating before his very eyes! This is the last instalment of his adventure in The Circle Undone. At 1hr13, I get the Cosmos rules pretty mixed up; I misread Cosmic Gate and place it in the wrong place, and then don't move to it. Derp. By 1hr16, I work out my mistake! Then waaay later on, around the 2hr-something mark, I take four actions instead of three. Dammit! I was doing so well. I don't think it invalidates the playthrough, but it's a shame!  Here's the Norman deck before scenario 7: CLICK ME Here's the Norman deck before scenario 8: CLICK ME  Amazing logo courtesy of this guy Join Drawn to the Flame on Patreon: www.patreon.com/drawntotheflame Buy Drawn to the Flame shirts, jumpers and mugs: www.designbyhumans.com/shop/drawntotheflame Listen on iTunes: right here Subscribe to our RSS via Feedburner: right here Direct download: right here Email us on drawntotheflamepodcast@gmail.com Twitter is here and Facebook is here.  Episode 163: Frank's First Look at Weaver of the Cosmos | File Type: audio/mpeg3 | Duration: Unknown

Join Frank for a first look at the player cards of Weaver of the Cosmos, the sixth mythos pack of The Dream-Eaters cycle for Arkham Horror. This one was a doozie - I love these end of cycle packs, and Weaver didn't disappoint. Hope you like it.  Episode 162: Live, Sort Of... | File Type: audio/mpeg3 | Duration: Unknown

Join Frank and Peter for a different kind of episode: this episode was recorded in front of a digitally live audience of patrons of the cast. In it, your hosts talk about quarantine gaming, deckbuilding for Dexter and announce two new cards from the investigator starter decks. We've left pauses, ums, ahs and interaction with the audience in the cast, so it's meant to be a rough and ready affair. Enjoy!  In these tricky times, if you can support Drawn to the Flame on Patreon, we'd be very grateful indeed: www.patreon.com/drawntotheflame Amazing logo courtesy of this guy Buy Drawn to the Flame shirts, jumpers and mugs: www.designbyhumans.com/shop/drawntotheflame Listen on iTunes: right here Subscribe to our RSS via Feedburner: right here Direct download: right here Email us on drawntotheflamepodcast@gmail.com Twitter is here and Facebook is here.  Episode 161: Investigator Starter Deck First Impressions | File Type: audio/mpeg3 | Duration: Unknown

Join Peter and Frank as they take a look at the newly announced investigator starter decks: Nathaniel Cho, Harvey Walters, Winifred Habbamock, Jacqueline Fine (!!) and Stella Clark. What do we make of the product? How will it work? How many new cards will we see? We select a few cards from each pack to take a look at what the product is and what impact it'll have on Arkham Horror and share our first reactions to these new decks.
