Pokémon Go is a free-to-play, location-based augmented reality game developed and published by Niantic for iOS and Android devices. In the game, players use a mobile device's GPS capability to locate, capture, battle, and train virtual creatures, called Pokémon, who appear on the screen as if they were in the same real-world location as the player.  Pokémon GO Podcast Ep 105 – “The Ibbott Has Fled!” | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:20:10

Another Fine Podcast on the Giant Size Team Up Network   Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles, Brian, and Joe back again with a dynamo episode! Ibbott had to flee towards the end of the episode, but don’t worry because Charles and Joe picked up the slack. Between Articuno Day and Community Day good times were had all around. DirtyGym even came to Chattanooga and played with Joe! Niantic sent out an email to GO Fest attendees and things are looking promising this year. It looks like they are taking all of the feedback from last year very seriously. Niantic claims players won’t get bottle-necked at the entrances, they are doing giveaways throughout the day at 9+ locations, and they’ve removed non-event stops and spawns from the park. Four of the major cell phone providers have setup COWs to help with network traffic and Niantic employees have been in Chicago for at least a week getting everything ready. They cannot afford a disaster like last year. All of that incredible content, and of course YOUR feedback and comments! Thanks to our awesome Patrons we will keep producing and improving the Pokémon GO Podcast. With your help everyone “catch ‘em all,” and you can start by going to giantsizeteamup.com/support/ and growing your community!  Pokémon GO Podcast Ep 104 – “No more trolling Charles” | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:21:19

Another Fine Podcast on the Giant Size Team Up Network   Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles and Joe are here with a fun episode. Joe is eager for GO Fest next week and Charles is sad that he’s in a shiny drought. That said, Charles finally got a Snorlax! So no more trolling Charles. An era has come to an end. We’re getting Pikachu with sunglasses throughout July and we can capture the Squirtle squad during community day. Thanks to the 170,000 trainers in Dortmund we have a ton of bonuses that will last just long enough for community day, so we’re excited for that overlap. The Pokémon GO Youtubers got a special package from Niantic in preparation for GO Fest; where is the love for podcasters? I wonder how many trainers we’ll see during the Safari Zone event in Japan? It’s going to be crazy! All of that incredible content, and of course YOUR feedback and comments! Thanks to our awesome Patrons we will keep producing and improving the Pokémon GO Podcast.  Pokémon GO Podcast Ep 103 – “#Snorlax4Charles” | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:39:33

Another Fine Podcast on the Giant Size Team Up Network   Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles, Brian, and Joe are back in a full form for an extra long episode. Joe may have been on vacation, but he had a FANTASTIC couple of weeks in Pokémon GO; it included 3 non-event shinies and 4 legendary Pokémon! Not only did Joe have a great time in game, he also got some fantastic news; he’s getting a VIP media pass for GO Fest for Saturday. Theoretically, he will be able to attend both days of GO Fest now. Brian got himself a few Regice this past week, but he laments that his catch percentage is not great. Charles played the game… we think. Just kidding, he definitely played because he caught himself an Articuno live on air. Speaking of research boxes, we are getting Snorlax in those boxes next month which means #Snorlax4Charles might actually come true! The gents discuss some of the friendship mechanics and the nerfed gift boxes. We really need increased bag space. The Silph Road has created an app, but it’s only available for Android users right now. Niantic is teasing us with some of their AR enhancements which look suspiciously like a Pokémon battle. Pokémon GO died like 2 years ago right? RIGHT?!? Nope! May 2018 saw the highest amount of active players since summer 2016, so Pokémon GO isn’t going away anytime soon. All of that incredible content, and of course YOUR feedback and comments! Thanks to our awesome Patrons we will keep producing and improving the Pokémon GO Podcast.  Pokémon GO Podcast Ep 102 – “Gotta Befriend ‘Em All!” | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:13:20

Another Fine Podcast on the Giant Size Team Up Network This Week Charles and Brian are alone this week because no one was able to catch Joe and he got away!  Twice this week Brian pulled up the game near home and during a bike ride… sees a silver egg about to crack and helps catch a Kyogre.  Resulting in 3 new Kyogre (none shiny) Charles prepared properly for Pokemon GO during his vacation… was happy to have his Gotcha so that he could play when he otherwise wouldn’t.  He evolved Whalelord.  DIdn’t get in a single raid. News Friends and Trading have been released…  Or “The Friend Thing” as Charles calls it. The guys Friend/Trainer Code is available inside the show and he invites you to be his friend. But he cant accept EVERY request so get in there quickly!  Sharing only works in close proximity so no cross country sharing for us! Word is, Spoofers were responsible for delaying Trading until now.  Pokémon GO Podcast Ep 101 – “What’s In The Box?” | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 48:32

Another Fine Podcast on the Giant Size Team Up Network   Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Brian and Joe are here without Charles having a peaceful conversation about what’s in the box. It’s strange when Charles is gone because we cover the same amount of material in less time. I wonder why…? (*insert smirk*) This week we take a look at an amazing guide for GO Fest in Chicago put together by a group of local players. It includes a TON of information like where to eat, what intersection to tell a cab driver to get to the GO Fest entrances, what forms of public transportation are availabe, and SO much more. If you are going to GO Fest you really need to take a look at this guide; it is 22 pages of awesome. We take a look at the Jul7 2017 box vs the June 2018 box and are floored by how much value is in this year’s boxes compared to last year. Pokebattler did some raid bug investigation and discovered that your Pokémon are actually attacking more often than the graphics make it appear, so they’ve adjusted their simulator to reflect this new information. If you haven’t checked out their site, you need to. Then Brian and Joe take a look at all the legendary’s shiny sprites and decide which ones they like and dislike. This community day will feature Larvitar which is amazing, but sadly Joe won’t be able to participate much. However, Brian has been hoarding his Larvitar candy and is very excited to get some Tyranitars with Smack Down. All of that incredible content, and of course YOUR feedback and comments!  Pokémon GO Podcast Special – “The Reunion” | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:16:04

Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles, Brian, and Joe are back for the special Reunion episode! And they are not alone… In this episode we caught ourselves a Beau York and a Patrick Bailey! The original PB&J trio (Patrick, Beau, and Joe) are together again and they are immediately back in the groove. This specialty episode is full of reminiscing, hopes for the future, and jokes; you don’t want to miss it. First, the hosts discuss their all-time favorite catches. Second, they check their dex comparisons. Third, they talk about what they want to see in the game. Fourth, they talk about what keeps them playing the game after almost 2 years. Fifth, Joe makes a bold prediction that pokestop suggestions will be added to the game in September. Lastly, we answer some important questions: How does Patrick feel about losing his detective Pikachu role to Ryan Reynolds? Is Satchel 2.0 ever coming out? Will Charles ever catch a Snorlax? (nope) All of that incredible content, and of course YOUR feedback and comments! Thank you to everyone who came out to the liveshow for episode 100. It was a great time and we’re proud of this amazing milestone. Here’s to hoping you can join us for the next 100 episodes!  Pokémon GO Podcast Ep 99 – “I’ve got Laprasy” | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 50:22

Another Fine Podcast on the Giant Size Team Up Network   Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles, Brian, and Joe are here with another stellar episode! Charles caught a green eyed Nar when he caught his shiny Aron and he’s loving every moment of it. Our self-proclaimed filthy casual needs to gloat every time he can. The hosts are still rocking and rolling after adventure and are ready to splash straight into the water festival. Firstly, get out that and capture a Lapras, but don’t get “Laprasy”. However, we want to recognize the Chattanooga Pokémon GO players for donating $2,000 for upkeep and maintenance costs at the Chickamauga Battlefield. They wanted to show the park that they cared about it and appreciated being allowed to play there. Field research was changed, but since the water event just began it may have changed again. That said, Absol was added as a research reward and that has made a lot of people happy. All of that incredible content, and of course YOUR feedback and comments!  Pokémon GO Podcast Ep 98 – “Ninjaskos” | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:16:04

Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles, Brian, and Joe are back again; will there ever conquer the technical difficulties? What do you get when you mishear Ninjask? Apparently you get Ninjaskos or Ninjago… If you don’t understand what I’m talking about? Tune in to the next live show to find out. First and foremost, this week was full of Switch announcements and we’re talking about them even though Old Man Charles doesn’t care about the Switch. Additionally, it’s officially been announced that Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee! will interact with Pokémon. The trailer shows that we will be able to transfer Pokémon from GO to the new games and that we will be able to unlock a “special Pokémon” in Pokémon GO via these new games. Lastly, there is a new peripheral that will be used with these titles: the Pokéball Plus. It was also announced that this new item will be able to connect to Pokémon GO, but we don’t know if it will be functionally different from the Pokémon GO Plus. All of that incredible content, and of course YOUR feedback and comments! Thanks to our awesome Patrons we will keep producing and improving the Pokémon GO Podcast.  Pokémon GO Podcast Ep 97 – “The Truffle Shuckle” | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:14:15

Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles, Brian, and Joe are back with more wit, pizzazz, and flair than ever before… maybe… possibly. (*insert smiley face*) We are excited for Adventure Week; it will definitely rock! (*cue ironic, cringing sound bite*) Get out there and find yourselves some shiny rocks and if you’re super excited you might just do The Truffle Shuckle. Don’t attempt a Shuckle raid by yourself because he will mess you up. Adventure Week is sure to be full of fossils so grab those Pokémon before they become extinct again. Speaking of rock Pokémon, Niantic has announced that the June Community Day will feature Larvitar and thanks to a leak we know that this will be the first Community Day to feature a special fast move. Smack Down will allow Tyranitar to take over as the top rock attacker, so stock up while you can. Some people who bought GO Fest tickets are getting calls from Tickets.com; specifically if they bought tickets for both days or purchased more than 6 tickets. They are being forced to choose one day and the other tickets are being reimbursed. We’re not sure how Niantic will be handling these extra tickets, but they have stated that they aren’t going to be doing another round of mass ticket sales. Perhaps they will do giveaways at sponsored locations like they did last year. The new TOS mentions being able to send messages to other users; does this mean in-game messages are coming down the pipeline? All of that incredible content, and of course YOUR feedback and comments! Thanks to our awesome Patrons we will keep producing and improving the Pokémon GO Podcast.  Pokémon GO Podcast Ep 96 – “Don’t Blast Burn Yourself!” | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:07:24

Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles, Brian, and Joe are a little disappointed with Niantic this week. They severely dropped the ball with the Pokémon GO Fest ticket sales; the ticketing website didn’t even have a captcha… Scalpers are running rampant and Niantic doesn’t even seem to care. In fact, it looks like all the spoofer accounts that were recently banned with be coming back within the next 2-3 months. In other news, Niantic botched the end of the fighting event too; they accidentally brought Lugia back in raids for a little while. I wish I could say this was the end of the bad news, but its not. We have been eagerly anticipating Blast Burn Charizard, but Niantic has decided to nerf Blast Burn really hard. We’re still excited for shiny Charizard on Community Day, but this one hurts a bit. Niantic did have at least one win this past week; they increased max bag storage from 1500 to 2000. There might be some upcoming games that will be compatible with Pokémon GO, but information is scarce. All we know for now is that they are called Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu and Pokémon Let’s Go Eevee. All of that incredible content, and of course YOUR feedback and comments! Thanks to our awesome Patrons we will keep producing and improving the Pokémon GO Podcast.  Pokémon GO Podcast Ep 95 – “Deploy The COWs” | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:12:34

Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles, Brian, and Joe are stoked to talk about Pokémon GO Fest 2018. In addition to GO Fest, Niantic has announced Safari Zone events in Germany and Japan. Niantic is coordinating with all major mobile service providers to provide COWs (cells on wheels) to ensure that everyone has adequate service during the event. They want to make sure they don’t have a poor experience like they did last year. They are having it at a larger venue and splitting the event over two days. Each trainer will be limited to attending a single day. Our own Joseph Ard will definitely be attending on Saturday and Brian Ibbott is hoping to attend as well. Niantic is also planning on some kind of crowdsourced 3D map, but exact details are bit a sparse. We are eagerly waiting to see what all that will entail. All of that incredible content, and of course YOUR feedback and comments! Thanks to our awesome Patrons we will keep producing and improving the Pokémon GO Podcast.  Pokémon GO Podcast Ep 94 – “Super Angry Big Bird” | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:08:31

Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles, Brian, and Joe are back together for an incredible episode full of laughter and news. T-Mobile and Sprint are merging, but what does that mean for the sponsored gyms and stops? We’re not sure, but we hope the partnership will expand to T-Mobile. Zapdos aka “Super Angry Big Bird” has come to Pokémon and we’re surprised to announce that Charles was the first host to get one out of a box! Charles also hit level 35 during the recording, so he had a banner week! Niantic donated $250,000 to Mission Blue after the Earth Day cleaning efforts. Youtuber PokemonDoctorYT was lucky enough to sit next to John Hanke on a flight which gave us a sneak peek for what Niantic is currently working on.  Pokémon GO Podcast Ep 92 – “Mareep 5” | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:04:06

Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles, Brian, and Joe are at it again! Community Day was Mareep-ing amazing and everyone had a blast. How many shiny Mareep did you catch? Speaking of Community Day, the featured Pokémon for May will be Charmander! Make sure you put it in your calendars, you don’t want to miss out your chance to get a shiny Charizard. Unfortunately the Pikachu Festival won’t have a Pokémon GO event with it this year. Local officials are worried about the safety of players during the event due to high traffic. Even though they can’t catch any Pokémon in game, there should be plenty of opportunities to take photos of Pikachu. There was a wave of perma bans this past week, so the boys discuss the different types of bans, what triggers them, and how long they last. We’re not too worried about Charles triggering a soft ban from playing too much. A lot of people are having trouble finding a Ditto to complete the 5th Mythical research, so we’ve found a good infographic to show listeners which Pokémon could be a Ditto. Jackitk is back again with another great raid guide infographic; this one is featuring Latias.  Pokémon GO Podcast Ep 91 – “Moltres Error 22” | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 47:31

Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles, Brian, and Joe are back, but so are the technical difficulties. Once the technical difficulties were cleared up, Brian surprised us all by not only catching Moltres live on air, but also catching Mew! Joe is still nostalgic from the 8-bit art and this Kanto event isn’t helping that front. The data miners have found all the generation 1 & 2 shiny sprites. Will we be seeing a ton more shinies added? Charles is happily plodding along at his own pace. Will Charles finally do a Snorlax raid? Only time will tell. Although Mew outclasses everyone with how adorable it is, it won’t be making a big impact in battles. It has too many moves to get a good moveset and its stats aren’t all that great. Jackitk is back again with another great raid guide, this time for Latios. The Silph Road has compiled data on raid rewards once again and shared an awesome post; make sure you check it out. All of that incredible content, and of course YOUR feedback and comments! Thanks to our awesome Patrons we will keep producing and improving the Pokémon GO Podcast.
