BEST OF 1001: ELFEGO BACA THE MAN WHO WOULD NOT DIE | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1335

In October, 1884, in the town of Middle San Francisco Plaza (now Reserve, New Mexico), Elfego Baca arrested a drunk cowboy named Charlie McCarty. Baca flashed his badge at McCarty and took Charlie's gun. McCarty's fellow cowboys tried to take him by force, but Baca refused and opened fire on the cowboys, killing the horse of one, which fell on his rider, killing him. Baca shot another cowboy in the knee. After that, Baca took refuge in a small jackal and traded gunfire for two days with the enraged Texans, who lost 4 men, despite using everything, including a stick of dynamite, to kill him. Baca survived and became a lawman and lawyer, defending the rights of the poor and oppressed.

Bonnie had never killed- but the newspapers and the FBI took the account of one bad witness to convict her or murder-and the fact that she had been an enabler and solid accomplice was enough to put her away for a long time. We also devote a section at the end to the FBI and their successful attempts to bring down a number of "Most Wanted" persons in 1934. We include the last days of John Dillinger, Pretty Boy Floyd, and Baby Face Nelson, all in 1934 here as well. The death of Bonnie & Clyde marked the end of the road for many notorious outlaws of the 30's. This is the incredible story of two of the FBI's most wanted criminals- Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow, who went on a love-filled crime spree through 6 states in the American South and Midwest during the depression. Seen as hard-time heroes by many, and reviled by others for their murders, robberies, and kidnappings, they sprang onto the front pages of the national newspapers when two rolls of their "selfies" were confiscated showing them playfully posing with their weapons at a hidepout in Joplin,MO.  ASTRONAUTS & ALIENS: WE ARE NEVER ALONE (#UFO) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3298

There was a two minute transmission silence on July 21st, 1969, just before Neil Armstrong stepped off the Lunar Mudule onto the surface of the moon. A HAM radio operator later claimed he had been able to capture what really transpired during those two minutes, when Armstrong reported the presence of two alien craft positioned on the top rim of a crater nearby, watching their every move. In this episode we seek insight from the men who have explored the far reaches of space in order to answer the question "Do aliens and alien craft exist" and has there been a wholesale cover-up of information? We will leave it up to you to decide.  THE KATYN FOREST MASSACRE (PT 2)(#KATYN) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3679

In 1940, the Soviet Secret Police (NKVD) took the tens of thousands of Polish political prisoners and surrendered Polish officers they had rounded up and put in camps, and executed them all within a period of days, one by one, men and women, dumping their bodies into deep ditches. When the war crimes were discovered, the Russians blamed it on Germany, and kep the lie alive for over 60 years, while they subjugated the Polish people, taking away their culture and their country. Part two is the story of the people and the events that finally forced the Russians to tell the truth and face what they had done. What Stalin and the Soviet NKVD did to Poland is today considered one of the worst acts of genocide in history. #KATYN Sponsor Offer : 3 FREE MEALS at www.blueapron.com/1001 Source : www.cia.org Source: The Katyn Forest Massacre : hearings before the Select Committee to Conduct an Investigation of the Facts, Evidence and Circumstances of the Katyn Forest Massacre, Eighty-second Congress, first[-second] session, on investigation of the murder of thousands of Polish officers in the Katyn Forest near Smolensk, Russia .. by United States.  THE KATYN FOREST MASSACRE (PT. 1) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 4133

On April 10th, 1940, over 20,000 Polish civilians and captured Polish officers were driven from their Soviet Red Army internment camps and driven to a remote spot in the Katyn Forest where they were executed one by one with a bullet to the back of the head. They were lawyers, professors, clergymen, writers, poets, journalists, officers of the Polish Army, business owners-men and women whose only crime was that were successful and they loved their country. The 8% who were Jews were already marked for death. They were all considered potential spoilers of Stalin's new soviet regime, which would convert Poland to socialism and keep it crushed in its iron grip for another 60 years, surpressing every part of Polish culture. In addition to this act being of one the most heinous war crimes in history, the Soviets attempted to cover up the truth of this mass genocide by blaming the Germans, and with Allied help, were able to accomplish this. Part one deals with the Nazi and Soviet invasion of Poland and the subsequent genocide. Part two next week deals with the cover-up, the German massacre at Hatyn (Katyn's namesake), and the mysterious crash of a Soviet Tu-154 airliner which was carrying the President of Poland and his wife, along with 94 other passengers which included, among others, families of the victims of Katyn, to a special service to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Massacreanniversary of the Katyn Forest . the Massacre. the plane crashed killing all on board. #katyn Sponsor Offers: www.Lordtimepieces.com 10% off put 1001 in promo code box www.harrys.com FREE kit get FREE post shave balm by putting 1001 in promo code box www.blueapron.com/1001 go to this web page- get 3 FREE meals Sources: Katyn: Slaughter and Silence VIDEO (audio referenced here for education purposes) Song: Fall Artist: Ross Bugden Song link: https://youtu.be/TyJgO7zgG9I ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Follow PaponeMusic: Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/PaponeMusic Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/PaponeMusic Twitter: https://twitter.com/PaponeMusic Soundcloud: http://soundcloud.com/PaponeMusic Follow Ross Bugden: Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQKG...
