Summary: In 1940, the Soviet Secret Police (NKVD) took the tens of thousands of Polish political prisoners and surrendered Polish officers they had rounded up and put in camps, and executed them all within a period of days, one by one, men and women, dumping their bodies into deep ditches. When the war crimes were discovered, the Russians blamed it on Germany, and kep the lie alive for over 60 years, while they subjugated the Polish people, taking away their culture and their country. Part two is the story of the people and the events that finally forced the Russians to tell the truth and face what they had done.
