 Octoberama 2019, Vol. 4: All the Boys Love Mandy Lane/May | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2:04:01

Hello ladies! This episode is dedicated to the females of the species because it's the first ever Week of the Lady Killers! That's killer ladies, featuring some of the most ruthless women ever caught on celluloid. This genre was chosen by our Patreon patrons. First things first, we kick off Horror Business with Real World Horror about a Wisconsin police officer who started a crew of ghost busters who, for legal reasons, are not ghost busters. They're more like... ghost beaters. Wait, no. Ghost hunters. Shit. Whatever. For all the news unfit to print, we dive into the new HBO series based on the Maniac Cop movies. From there we talk about the possible continuation of the Victor Crowley Hatchet franchise as well as a new thriller series from streaming service Quibi. We've also got updates on the Wrong Turn reboot and a new studio film from our friend Gigi Saul Guerrero. For our film reviews, we talk about a couple of femme fatales starting with bunch of teens getting killed in All the Boys Love Mandy Lane. Next up is the creepy psychological horror known as May. So get your Octoberama on and put this brand new episode of the Grave Plot Podcast in your head.

There is no Horror Business appetizers with your meal, allowing you to feast upon today's main course, featuring Wes Craven's classic The Hills Have Eyes as well as possibly the most controversial film ever made, Cannibal Holocaust. We hope you're hungry. Dig in.

 Octoberama 2019, Vol. 2: Shaun of the Dead/Fido | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2:29:35

Six years. Six years we've been doing this song and dance. AND WE JUST KEEP GETTING BETTER AND BETTER. Octoberama keeps shambling along as we celebrate Week of the Zombie with zombie comedies Shaun of the Dead and Fido. We always swore that Shaun of the Dead would be the first film we gave a 10 rating to. Did it hold up? Come listen in! But before that, we cover you with the sticky goodness we call Horror Business, wherein we talk about a Friday the 13th-inspired escape adventure, a new Dracula film from the director of TROLLLLLLL HUN-TER, and Sam Raimi probably blowing more smoke up our collective asses with talks of a new Evil Dead film. So gather up your arms, eyeballs, livers and all your other favorite snack foods, and settle in for Week 2 of Octoberama 2019!

 Octoberama 2019, Vol. 1: Bram Stoker’s Dracula/Dracula 2000 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:51:42

Welcome, one and all, to the 2019 edition of Octoberama! We'll warn you that this episode sucks, because we kick things off with Week of the Vampire! This year's selection specifically focuses on the most famous bloodsucker of them all - no, not Bill Barr - Dracula! We have no Horror Business today, but we do have a review of the most famous adaptation of the classic book, Bram Stoker's Dracula. We also discuss another, shall we say less faithful, adaptation called Dracula 2000. The Next Generation. D2K. Or whatever. So sink your teeth into our opening round of The Grave Plot Podcast's Octoberama 2019!

 Episode 143 – 3 From Hell/Satanic Panic | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2:15:53

Hell yeah. We're back with a devilish new episode! We kick things off with Horror Business and yes, Tony forgot to do the thing (this audio error gets corrected for the reviews). In Real World Horror, we talk about a new home renovation show featuring prolific house flippers, forensic scientists, and spiritual healers fixing up MURDER HOUSES. We go on to discuss some casting and character updates on Ghostbusters 2020 and a long-awaited update on Machete Kills... In Space. We also talk about a familiar name getting involved with the Texas Chainsaw franchise and FOUR new sequels to the Friday the 13th fan film Never Hike Alone. Finally, we speculate on the possibility of a third chapter in the It series. For our hellish reviews, we discuss Rob Zombie's new follow-up to The Devil's Rejects, 3 From Hell (RIP Sid Haig - this episode was recorded before news broke of his passing). In addition, we also review the comedy horror Satanic Panic, featuring Rebecca Romijn and the fat kid from Stand By Me. So make a pentagram out of salt, light some black candles, and listen to this new episode of The Grave Plot Podcast backwards. Or forwards. Your call.

 Episode 142 – It Chapter Two/Gags the Clown | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2:24:17

This episode is no laughing matter as we're headed under the big top for another tribute to creepy clowns. Before we get out the grease paint, though, let's talk about some Horror Business. In Real World Horror, we talk about a Catholic school in Tennessee who, on the advice of real live exorcists, has decided that wizards are real and J.K. Rowling is trying to secretly raise an army of the dead. Or something. We also talk about the kids who will be returning to Haddonfield after all these years for next year's Halloween Kills, as well as the new book from World War Z scribe Max Brooks. We also tell you all about a "werewolf-western" that Guillermo Del Toro is producing and a Kickstarter for a full length feature based on Jill Gevargizian's awesome short The Stylist. We then get a jump on our creepy clown coverage by discussing the upcoming documentary Wrinkles the Clown. While we've got our giant shoes on, we head into our film reviews. We, of course, break down the new sequel to last year's It remake, It Chapter Two. Is it a worthy follow-up? Is it worth 3 hours? We'll tell you our thoughts. We also tell you our thoughts on the found footage film based on the creepy clown sightings from a few years ago, namely one clown; Gags the Clown. So grab your squirting flower and your honking red nose and join us for another brand new episode of The Grave Plot Podcast.

 Episode 141 – Friday the 13th Part 2/Madman | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2:29:21

Before summer ends, we're going to head to camp. We're saluting the classic summer camp slasher film in our brand new episode. Today we discuss the first appearance of Jason Voorhees as a hulking serial killer in Friday the 13th Part 2, as well as the lesser known Madman Marz in Madman. Before that, though, we have to handle our Horror Business. In Real World Horror, we examine a strange TV-headed figure leaving unwanted gifts on people's doorsteps. In the world of fiction, we tell you about the latest adaptation of The Shining, as well as deliberate the future of the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise. We also rabble on about James Wan's next project, for some reason, as well as a new series from Netflix and the possibility of an eight-hour version of It. So meet us in the mess hall and we'll exchange bead BFF bracelets as we say goodbye to summer with a brand new Grave Plot Podcast.

Episode 140 – Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark/Nightmare Cinema | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2:10:31

Gather 'round, kiddies, and hear a tale of macabre, mayhem, and murder most foul. Oh wait, no, this is The Grave Plot Podcast, where you're more likely to hear a tale of dick jokes, dog farts, and dumbassery. In today's tale, we talk about Japan's mission to create a breed of giant rat-men to take over the world, or something, in Real World Horror. For Horror Business, we've got a run down of all the horror TV shows coming to Amazon, as well as new TV content coming from Spectrevision and the filmmakers behind XX. We also give you the news (Doctor, Doctor) about a third Tales From the Hood film and tell you what Stephen King is contributing to the film adaptations of his books It and The Stand. For our reviews, we head to the theater to check out the Nightmare Cinema anthology, featuring segments from Mick Garris and Joe Dante. Or, if books are more your thing, we also discuss Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark from producer Guillermo Del Toro and director André Øvredal. What? It's based on a book. So lean in and listen. Submitted for the approval of The Grave Plot Society, I call this story... Episode 140 of The Grave Plot Podcast.

 Episode 139 – Ernest Scared Stupid/Saturday the 14th (Patreon picks) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2:05:18

What up, fam? It's lit up in here. We kick off today's episode with news about next year's Grave Plot Film Fest as well as a tirade about people wanting to mess with Halloween. In Real World Horror, we discuss the recent purchase of the real-life Conjuring house and its upcoming status as a tourist attraction. In Horror Business, we talk about the latest news on the Halloween franchise as well as an update on the Attack of the Killer Tomatoes remake. Speaking of remakes, we also discuss the new Blade coming from Marvel Studios and finally we weigh in on a monster movie coming courtesy of Rocky. For our film reviews, we let our Grave Diggers over on Patreon choose the movies this time around. It turns out they wanted to hear about a couple over-the-top horror comedies so check out our reviews of Ernest Scared Stupid, chosen by Kevin T., and Saturday the 14th, chosen by Carlos Muertos. Enjoy.

 Episode 138 – Midsommar/Child’s Play (2019) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2:09:32

Hello and welcome to the party. Suns out, guns out, buns out, and now there's a brand new episode of The Grave Plot Podcast out! We kick things off with a Real World Horror story straight of Stranger Things, as scientists in Tennessee are attempting to open a portal to another dimension. In Horror Business, we discuss the latest from director Mike Flanagan as well as a prequel to Gremlins. We also discuss some unsubstantiated rumors about the future of the Evil Dead and Halloween franchises. On top of that, we also discuss the newest Saw film and who we can expect to see in it. For our film reviews, we make a new best friend with the remake of Child's Play. We know you're wondering if it's a worthy remake. Well, worry no more because we are here to tell you all about it. We also travel to Sweden for the annual Midsommar festival and do our best to explain the latest film from Ari Aster, the filmmaker behind Hereditary. So put on your tank top and camo shorts, slide on your sandals, and enjoy a bright and sunny new episode of The Grave Plot Podcast!

 Episode 137 – The Bay/The Evil in Us | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2:16:57

Happy birthday, America! Before you go out and celebrate our country by blowing up a small part of it, make sure to embrace your inner patriot with The Grave Plot Podcast! Without our usual Zima, we were forced to imbibe big ass cans of Four Loko. For America. So things got a little nutty. Our Real World Horror story this episode is vaguely relevant, as we discuss an alcoholic energy drink that is turning UK teens into murderous "zombies." In Horror Business, we talk about Blumhouse bringing back the Paranormal Activity franchise for some reason, as well as the sequel to the time they brought back the Halloween franchise for some reason. We also talk about Danny Boyle still trying to make 28 Months Later for some reason and a Hellraiser TV show for some reason. Finally we talk about casting updates for the new mini-series adaptation of Stephen King's The Stand. Both of our film reviews today take place on the 4th of July. Up first is the mockumentary style found footage virus/parasite film The Bay. We follow that up with the anti-drug, political pseudo-zombie film The Evil in Us. So grab a hot dog, a hamburger, a Four Loko, and a spark emitting stick of cardboard and enjoy a good ol' American episode of The Grave Plot Podcast.

 Episode 136 – The Dead Don’t Die/Slaughterhouse Rulez | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:54:42

Frack yeah! We've got a new episode dedicated to the dangers of fracking (apparently)! We inadvertently picked two films that involve fracking and its consequences, namely unleashing sub-Earth dwelling creatures and raising the dead from their graves. Check out our reviews of Jim Jarmusch's zombie comedy The Dead Don't Die as well as the Simon Pegg and Nick Frost produced Slaughterhouse Rulez. Speaking of Pegg and Frost, we've also got some Horror Business about their next project. We also discuss a haunted witch prison in Real World Horror, plus some news on Ghostbusters 3, Candyman, and a Blair Witch video game. We also discuss Blumhouse's curious decision to make a horror movie based on the Magic 8 Ball toy. We also go on our usual rants and raves about tangentially related topics. So dig in to a new fracking episode of the one, the only Grave Plot Podcast.

 Episode 135 – Brightburn/The Perfection | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2:27:09

Okay, so first off let us apologize to those of you who were looking forward to our review of Godzilla: King of the Monsters. To paraphrase Dr. Ian Malcom, life, uh... got in the way. However, when we read articles about a Netflix movie that was making people sick, we thought "challenge accepted!" So enjoy our review of The Perfection as well as the previously advertised review of the superhero horror Brightburn. Of course, before we do all that, we gotta do that Horror Business. We kick things off with Real World Horror, wherein we tell you why our own backyard will soon be teeming with haunted forests. We go on to discuss the upcoming sequel to the killer clown film Terrifier. Speaking of clowns, we also introduce you to Nevada's famous Clown Motel and a board game featuring Pennywise and the Losers Club. We've also got stories on how the Ghostbusters met and a new Stephen King film adaptation from the director of TROLLLLL HUN-TER. So put on your pointy hats and grab some punch because it's party time, bitches. Let's rock 'n' roll.

 Episode 134 – Body at Brighton Rock/The Ranger | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2:09:45

WARNING: Tony screwed up and this entire episode was recorded through a laptop mic instead of our fancy audio set up. So... sorry. Deal with it. Gear up Grave Plot faithful, because today we're honoring the fine men and women of our National Parks Service in our first (and likely last) salute to Park Rangers. Listen in to our reviews of Jenn Wexler's The Ranger and Roxanne Benjamin's Body at Brighton Rock. But first things first, and Horror Business comes first. In Real World Horror, we discuss a recent discovery in Nepal that may (or may not) hint at the existence of a long-lived legend. We then move on to news of yet another comedian taking on the horror genre, the re-reboot of a classic franchise,  an exciting (maybe?) upcoming video game featuring a familiar character, the diversification of a well-known film festival, and the diversification of a well-known band into film. We've packed all that into our nap sacks along with a heap of our classic irreverent and nonsensical humor that you know you love oh so much. So strap on those hiking boots and come along with us!
