Episode 169B – Destiny: Rise of Party Favors | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 46:33

Destiny: Rise of Party Favors. Isn’t that what we really want from Destiny? Party favors? I know I do. That’s what keeps bringing me back to Destiny, the new mods, the new skins, the new guns, the new ponies and unicorns. This week has been awash in all things for which this podcast is unknown. We played video games, read books, watched movies and television, read comics, and participated in bring about the apocalypse. Destiny: Rise of Party Favors* A new expansion for Destiny launched this week if you didn’t notice. I guess if you didn’t notice you were hiding under a rock. I can’t say that it made me happy. I can’t get the expansion because Bungie doesn’t want to support Xbox 360 anymore. Bunch of Jerks. * – Your satisfaction with the Destiny party favors in may vary. If you are like Rhett you will disdain them. If you are like Jason, you won’t care. There are two videos this week. We keep trying and we succeed in testing the limits of the internet here.  Episode 165B – Metroid Back from the Dead? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Metroid Back from the Dead?. It has been roughly six years since the last Metroid game was released. So, is the franchise back from the dead or is it just getting buried deeper? Once again, Rhett was playing something, Jason was playing something, but for the life of me I can’t remember what it was. There were books, movies, and comics as well, but which ones they were…? I think that the Legends of the Nameless Dwarf was in there somewhere. Also, Saints Row the Third. Metroid Back from the Dead? Here are the games for this week. Whether or not they are any good…that’s up to you*. * August 15 * Interstellar Logistics Inc. – PC * August 16 * Bank Limit : Advanced Battle Racing – Rift, Vive, PC * Bound – PS4 * Death Stair – PC * Grow Up – Xbox One, PS4, PC * Inversus – PS4, PC * August 18 * Okhlos – PC, Linux, Mac * August 19 * F1 2016 – Xbox One, PS4, PC * Metroid Prime: Federation Force – 3DS * Stardust Galaxy Warriors: Stellar Climax – PC * – The DG Podcast is not responsible for your enjoyment of the video games in question.  Episode 164B – Commit Suicide Squad | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Commit Suicide Squad. That’s right. That’s what the movie did this weekend. I can’t say that I was surprised. I have low expectations for this movie, but we’ll get into that more later. What’s Going On I really need to start typing this up the night we record the podcast. I barely remember what I had for breakfast (strawberry pop tarts) I can’t be expected to remember what Rhett and Jason were doing on Monday. Commit Suicide Squad* So, Suicide Squad came out last Friday, and Jason and Rhett went to see it so that you don’t have to waste your money. Does that give you a clue as to what we thought of the movie? I don’t want to give too much away since I want you to listen to the podcast, but let’s return to the comment at the beginning of the comments. * – I think that’s what the title of this movie should because that’s what I was hoping would happen. No problems with Twitch and YouTube again this week so there’s crystal clear picture of the responsible parties, also Batman: Arkham Origins.  Episode 163B – Batman Realm of Shadows…Good? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Batman Realm of Shadows…Good? I don’t know. You tell me. Telltale has been doing really well with the episodics recently, but will Batman really work as an episodic choose your own adventure? What’s Going On Rhett and Jason have both been doing stuff. “What stuff have they been doing?”, I hear you sigh with apathy. Probably nothing of any interest, but you’ll have to listen the the episode to be sure. Batman Realm of Shadows…Good?  Episode 163A – Comic Con Newsdump | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Comic Con Newsdump. It has been a while since comic con, but I got a bit behind. I’m trying to catch up. This episode is going to be a little rough on the details. Fan Email In an update to this post. I went back and check and we did have emails from John and Chance. You get the comments of both of our listeners on the same podcast.  Episode 162B – Video Games Are Defective | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Video Games Are Defective. No really, they are. Think about it. When was the last time that a game came out and it didn’t have massive patches that were required, sometimes on its release? I don’t think it will get any better. I hope it does, but with all the rabid, howling demand for new games the publishers are going to be pushing out unfinished junk faster and faster. What’s Going On Again, I have no idea what I had for breakfast let alone what happened a week ago. Although, I haven’t yet forgotten the plot to Star Wars. Though, I wish I could forget the pre-trilogy, especially Jar Jar. He should have been lit on fire in the first scene. Video Games Are Defective We have a bunch of video games that we review so you don’t have to. However, I don’t remember what they were. If you want to know, and I think you do, you will have to listen to or watch the podcast. That’s right, you will have to put in some effort. I know you can do it. You’re strong, smart, good looking, and popular. You can accomplish anything you set your mind to. Listening to one little podcast will be a walk in the park to someone of your stature*. * – Remember objects in affirmation mirror may not be as strong, smart, attractive, and popular as they appear.  Episode 162A – Another Newsdump | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Another Newsdump. We are here with another newsdump. I actually have the news that goes along with the news dump. This one will be a little more accurate than the previous article. Fan Email We are again abandoned by our fans. Yes, I can put the ‘s’ on the end we have been getting regular fan mail from two people now. So, there you go. However, neither one of them thought it was important enough to send us an email this week. Another Newsdump Here are the articles that we chose to include for this particular episode. Remember, if you don’t hear it from us it probably wasn’t important. * Surprise! Nvidia reveals a new Pascal-powered Titan X and it looks like an utter monster * Live-Action ‘Pokémon’ Movie Goes Ahead With Legendary * RIP: Japan Is Making Its Last-Ever VCR * Guy Pranks Pokémon Go Players, Causes Stampede * Men Who Brought Guns To Pokémon World Championships Sent To Prison For Two Years * Gaming revenues down 9% at Microsoft as hardware sales slow * Sony Is The Only Remaining Obstacle To PS4-Xbox Cross-Play * Man Arrested For Sending Death Threats To Blizzard * Comic-Con 2016: Daredevil Season 3 Confirmed * Oliver Stone Calls Pokemon Go a ‘New Level of Invasion’ at Comic-Con * Final ‘Divergent’ film headed to TV?  Episode 161B – We Don’t Know What We’re Doing | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

We Don’t Know What We’re Doing. Seriously, we have no clue what we are doing. If we did would it have taken this long to complete the post? I don’t think so. Anyway, it’s about time that we go around to posting something. What’s Going On By this time I don’t remember what happened this morning let alone when we last posted something of value. Jason is probably doing something stupid and Rhett is playing video games. Although, truth be told, this can’t be worst than the American political system. I know we try not to delve into politics, but when you get completely depressed at the stupidity that is the American presidential race you can come here and get a pick-me-up. Take a look around and then take a listen to the DG Podcast. I’m certain that it will lift your spirits and your intelligence. If nothing else, you can feel superior to all those idiots contemplating voting for the two worst presidential candidates in history. We Don’t Know What We’re Doing I can’t stress how serious we are that we have no clue what we are doing. We have made 161 episodes and have two listeners. You would think that we would have a few more than that at this point, but we are sadly lacking in that department. We did have some video games that we reviewed this week. At this point, I don’t remember which ones they were. I encourage you to listen to the podcast as some of the games may be worth your time and money. We try to keep things on the “relevant to our interests level” and video games are definitely relevant*. * – Relevant in this case being relevant to Jason’s tastes in video games. As such you will find RPGs, first person shooters, platformers, puzzle games, point-and-click adventure games, some mobile apps, trivia games, but not too many RTS’s. Also, no Call of Duty. He has a strong affinity for games with a fantasy theme. Here you go with the visual. I know that you would rather stare at someone much more attractive, but until the money starts rolling in and we can hire models to lip sync to our audio this is what you get.  Episode 161A – Pokemon Go Newsdump | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Pokemon Go Newsdump. It’s been out for just over a week and we have so many stories about Pokemon Go it is ridiculous. We can’t stress how stupid this new game is with people trying to play it while they drive, live, work, eat, disturb the peace, mug people, and more. Please don’t be one of the idiot who have been taken in by this idiocy. Fan Email Sorry, no fan email this week. We have been deserted by both of our fans. Be the first in your neighborhood to earn the stigma of being a regular emailer so that we don’t suffer this dearth of emails for another week. Pokemon Go Newsdump We have so many Pokemon Go stories this week. Pokemon Go has become the most downloaded app in history in less than a week. No one thought that the game would be this popular and so far there is no cure. Fortunately for humanity there are still some individuals that are immune and are holding strong. With patience and hope we can find a cure. Until then, if you are infected, don’t be stupid. If you aren’t infected, watch out for idiots. * Nintendo is releasing a miniature NES with 30 built-in games * Captivated by Pokemon Go, Two Men Fall Down a 90-Foot Ocean Cliff * Man Finds Dead Body While Playing Pokemon Go * 5 ways Pokemon Go has been dangerous * Guy Plays Pokémon Go In Area 51, Finds Empty Gyms * Nintendo Is Trying To Take Down “Pirated” Copies Of Pokémon Go * Pokémon Go Partnership With McDonald’s Is On, Source Says * Movie Theaters Grapple With Pokemon Go Invasion * Desperate To Play Pokémon Go, Korean Gamers Travel North * Cops Called, Eggs Thrown At Hundreds Of Pokémon Go Players In Sydney * Pokémon Go Fans Seek To End Cross-Faction Hostility Via Team Harmony * Pokémon Go Can Be Depressing For Fans With Physical Disabilities * Marines Playing Pokémon Go Help Catch Attempted Murder Suspect * Go Easy On The Pokémon Go, Texas A&M * Pokémon Go Players Are Waging War Over The White House * Kojima Finds Episodic Gaming Interesting, Think It’s the Future * Microsoft Says It Didn’t Need Crackdown 3 Thi...

 Episode 160B – The Chaos Interview 1 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

The Chaos Interview 1. Jason decided to bail on us this week. He decided to spend the entire day with his family. He must like them more than the podcast. So, Rhett and Lindsay teamed up to put something together. Usually Rhett has to pull Lindsay into hosting the podcast, but this time she volunteered. Guess Jason should watch out or he could find himself out of a job. What’s Going On Jason was gone. That really covers it. Rhett had planned an interview, which we had to postpone to next week. We were going to cover a number of controversial topics in the gaming arena, but you will have to slather with anticipation until episode 161B. The Chaos Interview 1 Have you ever wondered what bizarre answer two random people on the internet would give to some ridiculous questions that were haphazardly culled from the depths of the internet? We didn’t think so, but that is what this episode is all about. It is rather surprising what happens when the host of part B isn’t there to enforce structure. Still random questions with random answers are still going to be entertaining* whether you like it or not. * – We make no promises that the content you are about to experience is in any way entertaining. Any entertainment that you draw from this experience is entirely unintentional and the DG Podcast denies any responsibility. There might be some video, there might not. I was told there wasn’t, but I did see something on Twitch. However, the unique nature of this episode might mean that not all the video is present on Twitch. So, no video until further notice.  Episode 160A – The Problem Newsdump | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

The Problem Newsdump. There are so many problems, like am I violating my children’s human rights today? Or Link’s gender apparently, the pope isn’t a gamer, and the list goes on. So enjoy the chaos. Unfortunately, it’s not going to get any better until we stop making stupid people famous. Fan Email We did get two emails this week. Both Chance and John participated. From Chance, we got this gem. And from John, we got these words of wisdom. The Problem Newsdump Now we move on to the newsdump. Now the problems commence in earnest. * New Iron… Girl? * Squirrel girl confirmed * Counter Strike Go scandal * GTX 1060?! * Pokemon Go sanctioned by God? * Self crashing car * Amazon wants your podcast money * You’re breaking federal law * Microsoft wants you to have games * Rhett hates all things good * The Pope gets a game * Ghostbusters promo stuff * Dark Souls 3 the story of Poise * Link isn’t a girl, and that’s a problem apparently * New Diablo * Call of Rome, Duty, game * Internet is a right… Hopefully the video is working right this week and we will only be infringing on your right to have famous, attractive people insult your intelligence.  Episode 159B – Furi Max Damage | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

In Furi Max Damage you have been taken prison, tortured, beaten, interrogated, etc. Now you have a chance to escape, but to do so you must defeat the Jailer. So, get into your car/murder weapon and destroy everything that stands in your way while you explore this beautiful prison designed by Takashi Okazaki. What’s Going On Jason’s been a little busy, you know, doing constructive things like grading assignments, working, etc. Though he has pursued some worthwhile diversions. He’s been playing Saint’s Row 2. Not the best game, but it is entertaining and it is also full of game logic that completely defies real-life logic. Kill a someone? Hide out until the heat dies down. Steal a car? Stash it in your garage. Break out of prison? Make a clean escape. He also watched Oblivion. Not the greatest sci-fi movie, but still good. Rhett’s been watching the new Voltron series that’s been airing on Netflicks. There was another series, but he didn’t recommend it. Furi Max Damage This week we have several games that should prove interesting*: * July 5 * Furi – PS4, PC * Lost Sea – PS4, Xbox One, PC, Mac, Linux * July 7 * The Lion’s Song – Episode 1: Silence – PC * Trizeal Remix – PC * July 8 * Carmageddon: Max Damage – Xbox One, PS4 * Hawken – Xbox One, PS4 * – These games shouldn’t melt your brain with boredom. We make no guarantees on this however. Sometimes you just can’t tell. Plus we give you some information so you can make your own judgement. This week if you want to tune in you can see and hear the podcast. Last week would have been a rather interesting experience trying to guess what Rhett was saying based on Jason’s reactions.  Episode 159A – Subscriber Wars Newsdump | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Subscriber Wars Newsdump. What happens when YouTube decides to delete a plethora of inactive accounts? That was a rhetorical question. I’ll tell you what happens. Idiots who have 45.6 million subscribers throw hissy fits and whine like babies. That’s what happens. Are we bitter about it? Maybe, but suck it up you whiners. Your losses are insignificant and you are making no friends with your rich-boy whining act. Fan Email Again, no love from anyone, but this especially hurts from you Chance. I thought we were closer than that. We’ve even invited you to guest host. We promise that John didn’t mean anything. *Wink to John, and mouth “call me” while holding hand up like a phone.* Subscriber Wars Newsdump And here are the miscreants for this week. There’s more details on the YouTube purge, WWI sexism, another Bioshock release, idiots getting themselves arrested, and white hate. Plus we got some idiot that is actually trying to defend that travesty of a superhero movie: Batman V Superman – The Movie That Never Should Have Happened (It’s the new title. Do you like it?). * Subscriber Purge! * The Great Robot Escape * Star Wars Spoilers!! * WW1 Sexism * Captain America is Super Evil you guys * Bioshock Collection * Windows 10 owes me money * Twitter Crime * IGN Hates white people * In Defense of Batman V Superman: The Critics Need Critics * New details on Rogue One: A Star Wars Story have been revealed * ‘Rogue One’: Exclusive Details on All the New ‘Star Wars’ Characters We’ll post the video later.  Episode 158B – 7 Days to Escape Evil | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

7 Days to Escape Evil is a game set in the post zombie apocalyptic future where as a survivor you are trapped in an undisclosed location and you must decide which 6 of the 9 survivors live and which ones die. Explore, craft, scavenge, build, and slaughter zombies. What’s Going On Jason recently watched the original Ghostbusters movie that was released in the 80’s. He was worried that it might not have aged well, but the worry was groundless. He also couldn’t remember Ernie Hudson’s name for some reason. Watching the Ghostbusters movie definitely didn’t improve his opinion on the upcoming all-women reboot of the series. Rhett 7 Days to Escape Evil Here’s what we can look forward* to this week. This week’s offerings seem to be above average without the stupidity of previous weeks’ entries. * June 28 * 7 Days to Die – PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, Linux, Mac OS * Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens – Xbox One, 360, PS4, PS3, Wii U, Vita, 3DS, PC * Resident Evil 5 – Xbox One, PS4 * Star Ocean V: Integrity and Faithlessness – PS4 * The Technomancer – Xbox One, PS4, PC * Zero Escape 3: Zero Time Dilemma – 3DS, Vita, PC June 29 * June 29 * Inside – Xbox One * June 30 * BoxBoxBoy! – 3DS * – I can safely say that there is at least one game to look forward to each week we do these reviews. You could be a hipster and still find something that isn’t too mainstream to sneer at. This week that game is Inside, totally up your hipster alley. If there was something that you liked on the show we totally did it on purpose. We meant to do that. We spend hours preparing and crafting an entertaining experience for you. If you hated the show we meant to do that too. Social dialog is important and we can still live and exist and not agree on everything.
