Joined by Alyssa of Whovian Feminism, we discuss the legacy of the program, accusations and confirmed instances of misogyny and chauvinism, the roles and representation of women both on camera and behind it.

This week, we discuss the madcap escapade that was a holiday-special-turned-emotional-surprise, and realize that in all likelihood, this will be the last time we see Professor Song in a new Doctor Who adventure. (We're not crying. It's just the wind.)

Co-directors Matthew Jacobs and Vanessa Yuille chat with us about the "Doctor Who Am I?" documentary, a film exploring the Doctor Who fan base in the United States.

The tumultuous, often quite dark Season Nine of Doctor Who comes to a close with "Hell Bent", and with it, moments of controversy among fans of the program.

In the penultimate episode of Series 9, 'Heaven Sent', we find our Doctor alone in an ever-changing prison, chased by a veiled creature that silently demands his every confession, and leading him on a terrifying venture through his deepest fears, into his hyper-intelligent reasoning mind, and into the ghostly arms of his own grief. The demands upon a writer to create a compelling hour's tale for one voice, upon a director to draw equally compelling performance from a single actor, and moreover, upon that actor to craft such a performance, is unfathomably complex and risky.

Given only a few minutes to talk to Mr. Starkey on the opening day of the Long Island Doctor Who convention (L.I. Who 3), we knew that it would be a challenge to discuss all the topics we wanted. The actor being an improvisational genius, and an immensely affable and charming bloke to boot, we had no trouble running the list, and learning some fascinating things about his work on Doctor Who as Sontarans and Elves, his demands both physically and vocally for television and audio drama, and more.

"Let me be brave." A final credo repeated by Clara Oswald, and very likely uttered by many Whovians as they reached the end of an exceptional freshman script from writer Sarah Dollard. This week, we discuss this compelling story, crowned by a heart-wrenching exit by one of the most surprisingly beloved companions of the program since the 2005 revitalization.

This week, we scratch our heads after watching a few iterations of "Sleep No More", the found-footage bottle episode that finds our Doctor and Clara on a 38th century research vessel orbiting Neptune. You might feel as if you've just simultaneously viewed The Ring and Paranormal Activity while playing Doom and reading Gaiman's Sandman, but it's alright, because none of this [bzzzt] really happened, after [bzzt-crackle] all.
