Felice is joined by the director of the Christian Small Publishers Association, Sarah Blome. Sarah is the author of 7 books including the award-winning Your Guide to Marketing Books in the Christian Marketplace and numerous articles. A clinical social worker by education and experience, Sarah stumbled into the world of publishing after her two self-help books were published by a small publisher. Sarah and her husband, a fiction author, then collaborated on a set of board books for infants and toddlers after the birth of their children. After much thought and research, they decided to publish the project themselves. This decision led to the creation of Crest Publications and Sarah’s journey into marketing. It soon became clear that an organization was needed to provide assistance and information to new and emerging publishers. Sarah’s passion is educating others and this includes helping them get teir books into the Christian marketplace.

Among his other job descriptions, he places large book orders for authors signing books. He has observed the procedure, and he is aware of the reason authors often fail to get in the door and make the book signing a reality. During this interview you will learn insider tips that will help you to obtain book signings at your local book store or book store chain. Joel will discuss the do's and don'ts involved in the process, whether you are an author with a royalty publisher or you are a self-published author wanting to set up a session to meet your audience. Bookstores have banned specific authors for incorrect protocol. Joel explains that book signings are highly likely if you know the correct procedure.
