 FursonaPod Ep16 – Furries and Role Playing | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:03:44

Zaaz:For me, this podcast was totally Needles & Jellybeans:I stand before you to stand behind you To tell you something I know nothing about On Tuesday, which is Good Friday There’ll be a mother’s meeting; fathers only Admission is free, please pay at the door Bring your own chairs, we’ll sit on the floor Thankfully for the Topic of the Cast, Moji and Yazuu stepped up and handled the hosting. During the recording, I’ll say that for myself, I found out a whole heapload of information that I didn’t know about regarding this whole Role Playing business, and now, I know for certain that … it’s not for me But hey! If it IS your thing, than this is the podcast for YOU! *points at you*.  FursonaPod Ep15 – Furry’s Bad Reputation | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:06:20

Zaaz:We’re reporting to you live from the FursonaPod compound in sunny Las Vegas!!! (Or Prince Albert… either or… same thing really). On this exciting episode we figure out why the Furry Fandom has such a bad reputation in the public eye and what can be done about it… if we want something to be done about it that is. The Super Delicious Awesome Web Comic-ku covered in today’s episode is that of Two Kinds which can be found here: http://2kinds.com/ This comic carries the Panda Rating of PG-13 so keep them young eyes where we can see them! I’m up to my eyes in bathroom renovations, and progress is expectedly slow (oddly enough, the didn’t have the same building codes back in 1912), but we did manage to find a burnt crack spoon and a doll torso with a clothes pin in it! (Don’t ask… we sure as hell aren’t.) In other news, Moji has once again made a promise to post on the Blog. This time, she even has a plan about what to post about. Will she follow through? Tune in next week to find out the exciting result! Have something you'd like to say? Email: listenermail@fursonapod.com

 FursonaPod Ep14 – Furries Grouping Together | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 58:33

Zaaz:Hello again one and all! We’re back after a two week vacation and we had a bit of catch up to do to be able to get this podcast out more or less on time ^^ Unfortunately we weren’t able to get Mizu Dragon on again as promised but we did manage to get Neverwolf on again to discuss this topic with us. Before I forget, the Super Delicious Awesome Web Comic-ku this time around was Fur-Piled, which can be found at http://www.liondogworks.com This comic carries a Panda Rating of PG-13 and is a story driven black and white comic strip 300+ panels strong. Well, it’s crunch time around here. I’m going to embark on completely gutting my bathroom to (hopefully) make it much better. However this is going to be a project full of ‘firsts’ for me, such as laying linoleum, installing a tub, putting on shower surround, and so hopefully I’ll come out of this fairly unscathed. It’d be nice to have this done in two weekends, but will most likely drag to the end of the month. Meinh, as is life. And finally, check out our FaceBook account for a pic of my sweet new tattoo when you get a second! A dragon clenching the world. Yeeessssss!!!! It is gooood. Have something you'd like to say?  FursonaPod Ep13 – Meeting Furries in your Area | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:09:01

Zaaz:Hello again! I’m not sure how it happened, but just as our topic was, “Meeting Furries in your Area,” we ended up with a whole gaggle of furries from our area, joining us on this podcast! Three hosts, plus 3 guests, equals a right furry mess! The recording went fairly well, considering that we were using a new setup of equipment, lent to us and set up by Orcus. You can see the pictures of this setup on our new FursonaPod Facebook account, which you can find by doing a name search for first name ‘Fursona’, second name ‘Pod’. Or by the nickname ‘Fursonapod’ as well. So, as was afore mentioned, we got set up with a big, professional setup for this recording. In studio, we all (Zaaz, Moji, Yazuu, Neverwolf, and Orcus) all had our own headsets and mics. Given the size of the room we recorded in, it was like a spider legs of black cables, stands, and equipment. The cool thing about this is that Orcus was able to monitor and adjust every one of our input levels, so you can actually hear what Yazuu’s saying for a change. Although we estimated everyone’s levels as best as we could, post recording, it turned into an editing nightmare because the levels we though were good turned out to be somewhat divided into 3 levels: Quiet (Zaaz, Orcus), medium (Moji, Yazuu, Neverwolf), and blazing loud (Shaard). Like BLAZING loud! Like, my ear drums died so yours don’t have to, loud. But thank goodness for editing! So all in all it turned out pretty damn good. And lastly, or Super Delicious Awesome Web Comic-ku is Dan and Mab's Furry Adventures, which comes with a PG rating and a hella cute art style. Have something you'd like to say?  FursonaPod Ep12 – Making, Designing, and Creating Fursuits | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:11:11

Zaaz:Hello one and all! It’s your favourite FursonaPod skunk host here. This time, we were lucky enough to catch up with fur suit creator extraordinaire TrpDwarf! Yaaaay! This podcast is for, by, and for (once again) all of you crazy furs hell bent on buying or making your own suit. For more delicious information on what they do and how they do, check out their website at Around the Fur Studio. Also, for a double shot of awesome, we have our new recording software, so the Dwarf sounds even better than ever (for the first bit anyways). Unfortunately, our nemesis, The Echo, has returned with a vengeance! No, not as bad as in Ep 10’s outtake reel, but after editing both streams for 1.5 hours, I realized that I was at the 15 minute mark of the edited podcast. I’m sorry all, I just don’t have 6 hours of free time to edit this mo-fo with, so you’ll probably notice a drop off when I cut to just the single stream. That said though, here we are! A published podcast and once again, we managed to meet the deadline. Basically, our problem is that us 3 are recording off of a central mic, and listening to our guests over speakers. The result is that the guest’s audio is getting recorded twice, which is always embarrassing :p But we’ll continue pressing on until we come upon a solution to this issue as well. For we are the Ultra Omega Furry Team Zion Force! (Power Rings!) And a last couple things before wrapping up, you can find details about the mentioned Euro Fur Meet by clicking here. And lastly, or Super Delicious Awesome Web Comic-ku is The White Board, which comes with a PG rating and my personal seal of approval. Arp, arp. Have something you'd like to say?  FursonaPod Ep11 – Do Furries Have to Like Animals? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 57:55

Zaaz:Welcome back! Thankfully the recording this time went about a thousand times better than last time. It must have been something to do with not trying to pump five people through Skype or something ^_^ We were super stoked to have Mizu Dragon on as a guest, but unfortunately, just as we were discussing the topic of the cast, his computer mysteriously dropped into a vortex and took part of his face with it; the part that he uses to talk. But thanks to the grace of a fairy godmother, his face has been wished back into existence, however his computer was too far gone for recovery so he was unable to rejoin us. Plus, in the days following the recording, it seems that we were never online at the same time, so we were unable to record an epilogue for him. Anyways, what’s done is done, and I’m sure we’ll have him on again in the future. YOU HAVE NOT HEARD THE LAST OF MIZU DRAGOOOOONNNN!!!! … or maybe you have. Hard to say :p Regardless, the conclusion is that you do NOT have to like animals to be a furry. So for all you kids who’ve killed ants with a magnifying glass, don’t worry; you’re safe. Also, please vote below to tell us what you thought of the new Fur Affinity Five format where we delve further into the topics. I don’t think it went over so well with us hosts, however if the fans still want it, we can massage it into a more workable format. The Super Delicious Awesome Web Comic-ku this week was Fletcher’s Apartments, so go check it out. And lastly, if you have a few pennies, please throw them our way so we can make the podcast better We’re 50% to our goal of $30 to get the new software, and your support is greatly appreciated. Zaaz Have something you'd like to say? Email: listenermail@fursonapod.com P.S.: As promised, Charlie the Unicorn

FursonaPod Ep10 – Furries in the Closet II: Teens Living at Home | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:28:47

Zaaz:FursonaPod Episode 10 is open for business! Yaaay! And after two weeks of stress and organization, we finally got this bad boy recorded. Juna will attest to the difficulty that there was in me trying to wrangle three guests… then four guests… then two hosts... then three hosts… aw forget it. It was more difficult than originally ascertained anyways. However, after many audio difficulty and expert guidance from Shanerous, we finally got things rolling (as smooth as possible after 1.5 hours of trying anyways), and got some great outtake material that I’ll post later. Seriously, if you don’t laugh, then you’re dead or dying :p Anyhow, in this episode, regarding Teens Living at Home, we were lucky enough to wrangle together three teens who are living at home. So special thanks to Lulu Neko Lucy, Paul Shepherd, and Skyler for adding their credibility to this podcast. Each of these three people have a different take on their living at home situation, and thanks to that, I feel as though we truly represented all sides of this issue as best as possible. Other than that, our Super Awesome Delicious Web Comic-ku of this cast is The FireFox Chronicles, so go check it out. Zaaz Have something you'd like to say? Email: listenermail@fursonapod.com

 FursonaPod Ep09 – Organizing a Furry Meet | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 57:14

Zaaz:The content just keeps coming! Once again, please participate in our FursonaPod Survey! If you’ve ever wanted to let us know what you think about our product, this is the perfect way to let us know. Also, the Furry Meets and Conventions page has been revised to hopefully encourage more cons and meets to register for our verbal pimpery. Along with that, the Sask Furry Meet page has been updated to give you the full story on this meet, along with pics (so it DID happen!). Well, I think that’s all for now. Please keep those donations coming in so we can improve our guest’s audio quality. Hey, they deserve it for having to put up with us! Zaaz Have something you'd like to say? Email: listenermail@fursonapod.com Zaaz:Hello one and all! Sorry for the bit of a delayed post. I’m trying to get a bunch of everything organized while still tending to our newborn. It’s a bit wearing, but we still managed to make it out to Pike Lake for what’s now been renamed as the Sask Fur Meet. Check back in a couple days for pics because it DID happen! Also, we were fortunate to get the organizers of the meet, Rainbow Wally and Sulli, to join us on today’s podcast. Unfortunately, they didn’t want to record on site and we had to get back before our kid cooked in the sun (2 hour drive + no A/C = medium rare). So we very unfortunately had to record our old ghetto style of off-speaker, which turned out atrocious. So I do apologize for the poor audio quality of our guests, however I have found a solution! You’ll notice on the main site a button that looks just like this This will go towards purchasing an inexpensive piece of software that will allow us to greatly improve the audio quality of the podcast when we have guests on. The last thing that I wanted is to make FursonaPod a hand out site, as we’re more about giving furries a hand up, however one of the stipulations to keeping FursonaPod going is that we’re forbidden from spending any extra money on the site, other than our $5 monthly cost. So I would like to ask our listeners who enjoy what they hear to open up your credit card just a bit to help us out. As soon as we reach our goal of $30, then Poof! The donations button will disappear, just like that. One last thing for now is to please fill out our FursonaPod Survey. We want to know what you, our awesome fans, would like to see done with our podcast. As an added bonus for taking up some of your time, those who fill out the survey will be sent a sneak peek image of Moji and Zaaz having sex together!! It’s true! … maybe some details are being omitted, but totally true, so fill it out to check it out ^_^ Zaaz Have something you'd like to say? Email: listenermail@fursonapod.com

FursonaPod Ep08 – Furries and Chimeras: Related or Not? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 47:23

Zaaz:Hello everyone! Just to let everyone know, we’re taking a month off since Juna will be having our kid soon and instead of adding to our workload amidst the puke, poop, and flurry of relatives coming and going, we’ll be skipping the next June 1st podcast, but we will return with a vengeance as the June 15th podcast will be right after the Pike Lake Furry Meet, so expect an awesome podcast with pics (or it didn’t happen ;p). Wow, can anyone remember the last time we’ve done a podcast without call in guests? No? Well, here’s one ^_^ I will say this: I really do miss the many point of views of having more people on the cast. It makes discussing these topics a lot more enjoyable and results for better discussion. But that said, this still turned out pretty good and we managed to have a few laughs, so yay! Oh, and here’s a picture of the Tiger Guy. *shudder*. Sorry, couldn’t find one of the leopard girl. Other than all that, I’ve been pretty busy the past few months getting the house back into Summer Mode, but I do want to start putting more effort into the FursonaPod site by way of drawing some more pics on the FursonaKaki and also start writing some articles about various topics around the furry fandom. One of the misconceptions about writing articles is that, all you need to do, is write. Which is why there’s so many crappy articles out there. However, to write a proper article, it takes a lot of planning, writing, editing, and sometimes even re-writing. After all, anything worth doing is worth doing well. Anyhow, I hope you all have a great month, and we’ll c ya around Zaaz Have something you'd like to say? Email: listenermail@fursonapod.com

FursonaPod Ep07 – Alternate Identities: In Games, Fursonas, and Reality. | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:06:47

Zaaz:Hello one and all! An alternative title for this podcast is, "Egos collide: Zaaz vs. DJ Coyote, the battle for mic control." First off, thanks to all who wrote in with your comments, questions, and ideas on how to make these shows better. For example: We now have an Outro! Yaaay! I tried a few samples until I found this one that suits our podcast and matches the Intro music pretty well. Plus it’s from one of my favorite unknown bands, so if you know who they are, you get a cookie! One comment on the email questions: feel free to write in and bring up the points and questions that you think are important towards this Episode 7 podcast. Yes, it’ll be 2 weeks old by the time we record next, but we don’t mind revisiting these topics to bring up important points or address questions. Also, FursonaPod is now hosting our own Oekaki! Yaaay again! For those who aren’t in the know, and Oekaki is basically a message board that allows you to draw pictures as well. And, as far as an online paint program goes, ShiPainterPro is actually pretty damn tight, so go check out FursonaKaki! As I mentioned at the top, big thanks to DJ Dark Viper/Coyote (pick a name, damn it >.

FursonaPod Ep 6 – Unqualified to be Furries | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 44:17

Zaaz:Uuuummmm… ZOMG! Uuuummmm…. I say ‘uuuummmm’ way to frickin’ much! Sorry all. Deep apologies for that. We were under a time limit so I wasn’t my usual professional speaking self. I guess I don’t perform so well under pressure. I promise to be more mindful of that in the future as I know that it’s painful to listen to. Well, I find it painful anyways. I could edit most of those Umms out, but I want this epp to be a reminder to myself on how sucky bad speaking sounds! Anyways, it’s bloody good to be back. Special thanks again to everyone who wrote in and PM’ed me on my various visited forums offering me words of encouragement, advice, and most of all support for what FursonaPod is accomplishing by presenting and dissecting the topics around the furry fandom. Thank You. I hope you enjoy this podcast. Special thanks to our guest, Paul Shepherd, who you can find skulking around the Fur Affinity.net forums. After Wolf Bone and now Paul Shepherd, I gotta find a better solution to recording our guest’s sexy voices. This ‘off the speaker’ crap just isn’t going to cut it. If anyone has any inexpensive suggestions on how we can accomplish this, please email me and share your ideas. Also! If there are any furries a few hours away from Saskatoon, come to the Pike Lake Furry Meet! Myself, Juna, Moji, and maybe even Yazuu will be there, so it’ll give you a chance to meet the ass-clowns that put on this awesome podcast, and it will more importantly be a hell of a lot of fun! You can view all the details on our new Conventions and Meets section of the website. If anyone else has a meet, convention, or evet you want some internet wave props on, drop us a line and we’ll build it up so much, the attendees can’t help but be let down when they get there! Just kidding But we will give it some added publicity. And hey, free advertising is ALWAYS the right price, right? Zaaz Have something you'd like to say? Email: listenermail@fursonapod.com

 FursonaPod Ep05 – Furries in the Closet | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 50:01

Zaaz:Hello to all those who helped support FursonaPod and what we were trying to accomplish. The last episode of FursonaPod EVER is currently up, and will be for ONE DAY ONLY, March 31st, 2009. So download it NOW! I’m deeply saddened to say that FursonaPod will no longer be maintained by myself, Mogi, or Yazuu. FursonaPod is officially up for grabs, so if you’re interested in continuing on the work that I have started, please contact me: fursonapod@gmail.com This includes the site as is, including the podcasts, and three URL endings to FursonaPod of .COM, .NET, and .ORG Maybe the question is, “What were we trying to accomplish?” When I first acknowledged to myself that I was interested in the fandom and started posting on message boards, I saw a need amongst the fans of furry fandom in all regards. To the ‘veterans’, newbies, casuals, and hardcore. From fursuiters to art lovers, and everything within and in between. What I saw though, were scattered podcasts about whatever the hell the hosts felt like talking about at the time. I saw, and still see a disorganization that makes me wonder how the hell and event like Anthrocon can even exist since I can only appreciate the level of dedication and organization that must go into an event that large. And yet, in one of the most powerful mediums available of audio podcasting, there’s nothing but garbage and crap. I’d like to give a nod though to AnthroPod.org. Flain, when he broke free of Clawcast, has created an organized site with fairly well done podcasts. I wish to them all the best. What have I hoped to accomplish with FursonaPod? I was hoping to provide solid discussion around the topics that ARE important to anyone who lives within the fandom, to any and all degrees. I’m glad that we were able to do the last podcast as well as we did; even if the mood is notably melancholy. I feel like I did something, damn it! I feel like, for the first time in all the things I’ve tried in my failure after failure life, I finally created something that people gave a damn about, and people looked forward to, and finally a venue where my thoughts could be heard beyond my group of friends. Nothing wrong with my friends, there’s just not enough of them ^_^ But in the end, when faced with the options of this or the love of my wife, it’s no contest. And to all you other furries out there, I hope you’re never faced with this same choice I had to make. But in the end, if you’re even thinking of furry over love, grow up! I don’t mean furry over that girl that you’ve been dating for a week. I mean a girl that I’ve been with for over six years. And so, my friends, thank you for all the love you’ve shown me and especially educating me that Furry Fandom is more than just a poorly done CSI episode, and that fans range from young to old, but all care for each other because we are a community. I’ll still be on Deviant Art, on MSN for those who already have me added, but otherwise I’m cutting out. No more AlbertaFurries, AnthroPod, or FurAffinity. I’m very sad to leave as I felt like I’ve done some good and also brought the image of the fandom up a notch from where it was. Thanks for the opportunity. Zaaz Have something you'd like to say? Email: listenermail@fursonapod.com     Zaaz:Hello All, I know that you’re probably thinking, “Why the hell is this guy still posting? I thought he was done?” Well, yes, you’re right. Ironically, the last postcast, Episode 5: Furries in the Closet, is what really saved the podcast in the end. I knew that this podcast was going to be important, but I didn’t realize that it would end up being pivotal. Basically, I messed up. Plain and simple. I got in way too deep way too fast, and I wasn’t sure how to get out. And this all came to a head literally right before we dropped the needle on that podcast (note the unenergetic tones, especially from Mogi). However, my wife, Juna, took a listen to the podcast,

FursonaPod Ep04 – Furries Longing for Simpler Lives | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 41:40

NOTE: There's 20 seconds of no audio at the start of this cast. Don't worry, you're not missing anything, it's just intro music. I had some problems with getting this pod up, so just sit back and use that 20 seconds of silence to reflect upon the things in life that make you happy Audio will resume at about the 40 second mark. Zaaz: Yay! The podcast is up, better, and drunker than ever before ^_^ I know that I promised some people that this podcast was going to be about Furries in the Closet, and how to come out of it (or if you even should!), however, things got a bit out of hand (read ‘fun’) and I didn’t feel we could give this important topic the attention that it deserves, especially since we all have to go through it at some point or another if we truly are furry. Also, this is a bit of a stall tactic in waiting for a ‘surprise guest’ to get his ass in gear and get a mic so he can join us. Also, thank God that Spring is finally starting to show its skinny white ass around here. I’m so sick of -30 weather. Good for another year at least, anyways. Other than that, I’ve found a renewed love for drawing, specifically anthropes at the moment, but I suppose that goes hand in hand with my love for creating these podcasts. I’m also thinking of taking on commissions. Anyone interested? Anyone?? Have something you'd like to say? Email:listenermail@fursonapod.com

 FursonaPod Ep03 – Mascots versus Furries | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 32:38

Zaaz:Greetings all! Well, we're back at the end of the shortest month of the year! Apparently the minds of Skunk are greater than that of Cow and Bear (they forgot what the topic was going to be :O ), but we did manage to find some information about the world of Mascots compared to the world of Furry; where they differ and where they merge and how they can work together to improve their respective goals. Also, the two girls are finally set up so they too can begin adding to this blog (whether they will or not ... ). So put on your headphones and enjoy! And as usual, let us know what you think ^_^ Have something you'd like to say? Email: listenermail@fursonapod.com

FursonaPod Ep02 – Human Augmentation: Would You Surgically Make Yourself A Furry? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 35:05

Zaaz:Here we go again…for the furrst time! You know, because the first podcast was such a mish mash of whateverness, and I allude to this in the podcast as well, I was going to make this the official Episode 1 of FursonaPod, but NO I say! That’ll just screw up the numbering process :p So, officially, here is Episode 2. Recording this one felt a whole lot better than our first attempt, and the conversation felt a whole lot more natural, so I hope that shows in the audibility. Truthfully, we probably could have recorded for an even longer period of time, but I felt the conversation was starting to become cyclical so it’s maybe a good thing that we ended it when we did. This topic, of physical enhancements, could have really been two podcasts. One focusing on the surgical enhancement aspect and one focusing on the genetic manipulation aspect. Maybe in a much later episode we may revisit this. But for now, I’m very please to see that the podcast group seems to have very different views on these kind of topics, so it should make for some interesting conversations. What are your thoughts on this topic, as a listener? Also, two last things before I’ll sign off for today: 1. If you have any questions or comments, please send them in and we’ll try to discuss them in a future podcast. 2. If you’d like to join us as a guest on an upcoming podcast, please make yourself known and we’ll see what we can do ^_^ Questions? We'll answer them! Email: listenermail@fursonapod.com   Zaaz:Hey all. Sorry for the audio quality of this ep. It was a rush to post it on time, so I never gave it a thorough listen through. I have since and edited it to get rid of all that pitchy junk, but unfortunately, this blogcast program won't let me modify the podcast without deleting this post completely, and since it already has history, I don't want to do that. But tune in next time for 70% less pitch! Woohoo! Questions? We'll answer them! Email: listenermail@fursonapod.com
