Welcome to the 102 edition of "Continuum, A Journey Through Jazz." It seemed appropriate for this episode that we take a little trip around the world – just your average Autumn excursion to Europe, South America, Brazil, Cuba, Africa . . . a road trip, you know, to look at the leaves. So I have gathered together 26 stellar new releases from 2012 for the journey – featuring cuts from Gregory Porter, Lynn Veronneau, Brian Bromberg, The Farah Quintet, Carol Saboya, Fabrizio Bosso & Javier Girotto, Grant Geissman, Connie Evingson, Leila Pinheiro, The Shaolin Afronauts, Tucci & Mannutza, Gabriele Poso, Ojos De Brujo, Leo Gandelman, Kenny Garrett, Randy Hoexter, Alfredo Rodriguez, Pete Escovedo, Poncho Sanchez & His Latin Jazz Band, Manuel Galban, Jack DeJohnette (feat. Esperanza Spalding), Halie Loren, Jessica Lauren Four, Hot Club Of Detroit, Laila Biali & Monday Michiru. Therein lies some world jazz; Brazilian Samba, Salsa & Bossa; Afro-Cuban & Latin jazz; Grooves flavored by Afro-Beat, House & Flamenco, and a few things that are hard to define. Two hours and 26 tracks to take you on a journey of excitement, relaxation and discovery. Please stay in touch with me on your journey by writing to Scott@Soulandjazz.com - feel free to send any comments, requests, maps, hotel & restaurant suggestions, and foods & insects I should avoid in my world travels.  FOLDEDSPACE – November 2012 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2:00:01

Xmas approaches and my kids have been truly considerate this year by only suggesting present ideas in the three figure category; bless them. So I've put together a warming collection to blow away the winter blues and counteract the harsh economic climate. First up I'm very excited to be able to bring you an interview and an exclusive live session with the band currently causing a stir: Mellow Baku And The Friday People. Also featured is a top draw tune from King Bee who are a group of UK based musicians and feature Dave Wilde (from Smoove and Turrell) in their accomplished line up. We've also some cracking new music from Positive Flow, Grammy nominated David Lyttle and the soulful Personal Life. There's also a track from the eagerly awaited LP from Tatham, Bonsah, Lord and Ranks and it's a corker. Then again with the wondrous Kaidi Tatham on keys you can't go wrong. Talking of keyboard dons there are tunes from Patton and Smith (Jimmy) who all show off their amazing skills in that department. There's soul from the legends that are Hathaway and Flack and classic rare grooves from Scott-Heron and Jeffree. There's a lot of love in this edition so please don't hesitate to take as much as you want away with you and spread to all who appreciate quality music. Don't forget to go to the FOLDEDSPACE Facebook and Twitter pages and like! Also it would be great for you to e-mail me at tony@soulandjazz.com just to share the love back :-)

 Just Jazz – November 2012 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2:07:23

Heading your way this month is the eleventh show from Mr. Terry Keels or as he’s more affectionately known – TK. 'Just Jazz' is, as it says in the title, just jazz, and features over two hours of the coolest tracks you can imagine from cats such as Bruce Barth to the Brubeck Brothers Quartet and Rahsaan Roland Kirk to Rufus Reid. Note the word cool, not smooth. That’s not where TK’s coming from. He's relaxing into the role beautifully so we think it only right and proper to share this man's knowledge, passion and desire to talk about and play the jazz. To download, just click on the link and show your ears some of that sophisticated love.
