 #200 - Kyle Larson | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 24:15

Art Eddy and guest host, Patrick Quinn, talk about his new son that was born over a week ago. They also talk about Art's appendix being removed. Then, they bring on NASCAR driver, Kyle Larson. At just one week old, Kyle Larson made his first trip to the racetrack. A few short years later, he had already set his sights on making trips not just to, but around the racetrack, and has been driving the circuit ever since. Often among the youngest of his peers to reach a milestone, whether it be his ascent to NASCAR, becoming a dad, owning a home or developing as an entrepreneur, Kyle's journeys are fast-paced. Positioned at the top of his sport, Kyle's passion for the dirt drove him back to the tracks where he grew up, but this time around as a team owner. The shy kid with a dream from northern California can proudly serve as a role model for others chasing down their own dreams in a variety of ways. Coming full circle, Kyle is not just living his dream, he's living the American Dream, as well. As a new and young dad, there are many things Kyle wants to share with his son. Kyle and Owen are sure to quickly bond as he teaches him the trades of being a man, like how to change a tire, wire an outlet, or tune his engine. And while Kyle already possesses strong traits that are primed for fatherhood, there are many others he's working to master before passing along to Owen. Wherever life takes him, whatever adventures he'll encounter along the way, Kyle will evolve in ways that even he won't expect. But in the end, he'll always come back around to his roots as the kid with a dream, doing what he loves. Follow Kyle Larson on Twitter @KyleLarsonRacin, Facebook, and KyleLarsonRacing.com.

 #199 - Brian Welch | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 25:55

Tommy Riles and Art Eddy are back on The Life of Dad Show. They are talking about the new site and app at Life of Dad, summer plans, and the NBA Finals. Then, the guys bring on KoRn guitarist, Brian Welch. One of the first things that Brian "Head" Welch told us in our interview with him was that his daughter was going to graduate high school. We could hear how proud he was of his daughter in his voice. To us that is a Life of Dad moment. Just as in anyone's life, Brian has had his ups and downs. Welch, who is one of the guitarists and a co-founder of the band KoRn had a life-changing spiritual awakening. It freed him from a stronghold of drugs and alcohol and prompted him to leave KoRn in 2005. What followed was a decade-long trial by fire, from the perils of fathering a teen lost in depression and self-mutilation to the harsh realities of playing solo and surviving the shattering betrayal of a trusted friend. In this intensely inspiring redemption saga, perhaps most inspiring is Brian's radical decision to rejoin KoRn and reconcile with the tribe of people he once considered family in the metal music scene. Brian returned to his musical roots with a clear head and a devoted heart. Brian found that God will love you into the freedom of being yourself, as long as you keep the relationship going and never, ever quit. Welch talks about this and so much more in his new book, With My Eyes Wide Open. We had the great pleasure of talking with Brian about his new book, his music, and, most importantly, his relationship with his daughter. Go to BrianHeadWelch.net to purchase the book, and follow Brian on Twitter @brianheadwelch and Facebook.

 #198 - Benjamin Watson | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 28:07

Tommy Riles and Art Eddy talk about family and community gardens, fun things to do with the kids, some baseball, and then they bring on Baltimore Ravens tight end, Benjamin Watson. Benjamin Watson makes a name for himself on the football field, but it is the work he does off the field that is more impressive. Benjamin and his wife, Kirsten created One More Foundation. Their mission is to be a vehicle to carry the hope and love of Christ to those in their community who need it most, while understanding that the best and most efficient way to reach people's hearts is by first meeting their physical needs. They want to be a blessing to those around them. They look to help existing charities or initiating programs of their own. With his caring and giving attitude he is a great role model for his five children. He looks to share those values with his children and be an inspiration to them. Watson and his family are preparing for a new chapter in their lives since he recently went from playing for the New Orleans Saints to now playing for the Baltimore Ravens this upcoming season. In 2015, Benjamin Watson published his first book, Under Our Skin: Getting Real About Race- And Getting Free From The Fears and Frustrations That Divide Us. The book is part memoir and part social commentary. Under our Skin offers a look at both sides of the race debate and appeals to the power and possibility of faith as a step toward healing. It's a bold new path for us to follow as we come together to talk about the truths, myths, and realities of racial conflict. We had the great pleasure of talking with Benjamin about his foundation, football, moving to Baltimore, and fatherhood. Follow Benjamin Watson on Twitter @BenjaminSWatson, Facebook, and TheBenjaminWatson.com.

 #197 - Jim Calhoun | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 19:49

As a coach he taught all of those values to his players. Calhoun's success doesn't just show up in the college game, but the professional level as well. Twenty-six of Calhoun's players from UConn have played in the NBA. Jim and his wife Pat are setting an example off the court too.
