Two new land speed records for lightweight electric motorcycles has been recorded using the 2012 Zero S ZF6 model motorcycle at the Bonneville Salt Flats in Northwestern Utah. The Fort Collins, Colorado Police Department is testing Brammo electrics bikes to see if they’d work in their fleet. A veteran-founded nonprofit that connects troubled soldiers with independent counseling services kicked off a 5,000-mile motorcycle ride in Tacoma, Washington on Friday, hoping to raise awareness about military suicides and drum up support at Army installations. The Las Vegas Bikefest is underway…but since Ken wasn’t invited and no one took him he’s sulking. Actor Johnny Lewis who played the prospect Kip "Half-Sack" Epps on Sons of Anarchy died in a strange murder/suicide/accident incident. Harley Davidson celebrated the training of their 300,000th rider in their Rider’s Edge program this week. Kenny Kelley, founder of the Adrenaline Crew joins us in studio to chat about what's going on with the crew and yack about AC's adventures. The MotoGP World Championship moved on to Aragon this week. Moto2 proved once against that it's the most exciting racing in the world. Marquez showed that his worst qualifying of the season wasn't enough to slow him down and it took just a handful of laps for him to overtake pole sitter and early leader Simone Corsi. The last 10 laps were amazing as Pol Espargaro, Crazy Joe Iannone and Marquez traded positions. The final four laps were a dramatic battle between Iannone and Marquez in some of the best racing of the season but allowed Espargaro to hang on to the lead and take the win. Marquez pulled out a second but in a final lap move Scott Redding got past Iannone to take the final position on the podium. MotoGP moved on to Aragon this week and Dani Pedrosa was ready after his miserable results at Misano. After following Jorge Lorenzo for the first third of the race he passed Jorge and never looked back winning by his largest margin ever. Lorenzo settled for a safe points second. The real race was between Spies, Crutchlow and Dovisioso. Dovisioso cinched the final podium position in the final lap. Nicky Hayden had one of the worst get-offs of the season, hitting the air-wall and flipping over. Video of the wreck is included in the post.

Ben Spies isn’t leaving MotoGP but he may wish he had cause he’ll be riding a satellite Ducati . So Big Ben will go from riding one of the best bikes in the field to one that’s at best just a step above a CRT. How not to rob a Ducati dealer: Former promoter of the MotoGP race planned starting at the new Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas is now battling the track in court. The Dallas County Sheriff's office issued a 38-day suspension today to Deputy James Westbrook after footage showed him seizing a camera from a motorcycle rider. Moto2 from Misano went only 3 laps before Gino Rea’s motor let go bringing out the red flag. But for some strange reason the Gods of MotoGP decided to slice 9 laps off the race when it restarted. From 23 remaining laps they restarted with only 14 laps to go. The race restarted with Crazy Joe Iannone on the pole and Marquez in second - a flip of how the race started. Iannone began to gap the field after Marquez had a moment, but later in the race Crazy Joe's tires went away allowing Pol Espargaro and Marquez to reel him in. Marquez and Espargao fought it out over the final two laps and in a great final lap they went back and forth with Marquez taking the win, Espargaro 2nd and Iannone 3rd. Misano will be a race that Dani Pedrosa will want to forget. Pedrosa's chances of winning the 2012 MotoGP championship was dealt a terrible blow when his team had problems removing a tire warmer before the sighting lap and then Hector Barbara put in the death-blow by taking Dani out of the race. Jorge Lorenzo went on to an easy win, followed by a surprisingly well ridden race by Valentino Rossi and Alvaro Bautista got his first MotoGP podium.

A Salt Lake City man is accused of shoving his teenage son off the back of his motorcycle and fleeing police. The Green Lantern gets a new bike. Motorcycle-Toilet is a bunch a crap. Moron dumps girlfriend off his bike...not once, but twice. Second time it didn't end so well. New Hampshire police motorcycle club takes the law into its own hands. In-studio guest Rob Baer from DevilTailDesigns.com with his wild  creations. We kicked off a new era in World Superbike this weekend when racing came to Moscow. A damp track in race one was a good sign for Tom Sykes who grabbed the lead early and hung on through the race.  A series of wrecks sorted out the field to allow Melandri and Biaggi to finish second and third. In race two the track was much drier but Sykes showed that the Kawasaki has come a long way. Sykes grabbed the lead from the start but in lap 15 Melandri got by and was able to open a small gap over Sykes. Biaggi was having a so-so race and was pushing hard in the later laps, but pushed a bit too hard and slid into Leon Haslam end their race and allowing Melandri to take the championship lead. Chaz Davies got his second podium of the season thanks to Biaggi thinning out the field. In the Czech Republic Moto2 race Marc Marquez continued his domination even though Thomas Luthi appeared to be in good form. Pol Espargaro had a couple issues in the race but still managed to take the third position on the podium behind Luthi. The news that Casey Stoner had to return to Australia for surgery on his injured ankle created a interesting dynamic in the MotoGP Brno race. Jorge Lorenzo took an early lead and Dani Pedrosa showed the patience that may well lead to a title if not this year surely in the future. Pedrosa stalked Lorenzo for the entire race and in one of the most exciting final laps Pedrosa overtook Lorenzo to take the win and close the championship to 13 points. Cal Crutchlow who'd been in the news for voicing his disappointment for not being on a factory team for 2013 re-signed with Tech 3 and went on to take third at Brno.

Casey Stoner had a horrible get-off, fracturing his ankle and tearing ligaments, but still heading to the grid. Nicky Hayden had another scary wreck during qualifying, slamming his head and breaking his wrist.  Hayden could not make the race. It would be easier to list those that didn't see the pavement in the qualifying and practice than those that didn't wreck. On TV it appeared there was a lot of small debris on the track. In the inaugural Moto3 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway - Vinales goes down in the final lap. Luis Salom takes his first victory in Moto3.  Sandro Cortese puts a knife in Vinales by taking second and widening the points gap from 9 to 29. Jonas Folger took the final step on the podium and completing the KTM sweep! In the Indianapolis Moto2 race things were close in the early laps, but by mid-way Marc Marquez showed why he's moving on to the premier class, easily gapping the field and ending the race over 10 seconds ahead. Pol Espargaro slid into 2nd place with Julian Simon taking 3rd. The spaniards are showing their domination, taking all 3 Moto2 podium positions. In MotoGP Ben Spies can't catch a break. After a great start and a strong battle with Dani Pedrosa his motor let go ending his afternoon. Jorge Lorenzo made a controversial rear tire choice that left his a bit shy of Dani Pedrosa and after Spies departure he coasted into 2nd place. Casey Stoner pulled off the heroic performance of the week, battling with Andrea Dovisioso for a podium position till the final two laps and Stoner had to settle for 4th. Pedrosa closed in on Lorenzo, shrinking the championship points lead to 18.

Florida State and Federal officials set up Neo-Nazi motorcycle club that is expected to yield hundreds of arrests in Central Florida. Motorcyclist Magazine announced their 2012 Motorcycles of the Year: Best Dirtbike: KTM 500 EXC Best Cruiser: Harley-Davidson Switchback Best Bang-for-the-buck: Kawasaki Ninja 650 Best Dreambike: Motus MST-R Best Adventure Bike: Triumph Tiger 800 Best Touring Bike: BMW K1600GT   Loaning your bike to a stoned buddy can result in really bad things.   Just cause you're drunk doesn't mean it ain't going to hurt wrecking...twice.   World Superbike from Silverstone: The weather couldn't make up it's mind in Race 1 leading to a very odd result. A lot of bikes went down, including a nasty wreck on the final lap, but them man who has spent plenty of time picking up his bike, Michelle Fabrizio ended up on the podium in second place and his teammate Ayrton Badonvini took third. But at the top of the podium it was a mean green Kawasaki machine, but not Tom Sykes, it was Loris Baz. Kawasaki and BMW are clearly the big movers of 2012.   In Race 2 Everything goes out the window as inclement weather hits and  lots of racers wash out. Sylvain Guintoli, Loris Baz and Jakub Smrz pull out podium appearances. The points race gets just a little tighter, this should make for some good racing  down the stretch. South Dakota Department of Transportation is asking farmers to try to keep their field irrigation systems from spraying water onto state highways in preparation for the Sturgis motorcycle rally. An Elgin, Illinois man is charged with ramming his harley into a police officer and a sheriff’s squad car during a police pursuit. Another bizarre development in the botched Motorcycle Hall of Fame induction of Nobby Clark. A ticket, license revocation and maybe even a short stint behind bars beats a lifetime changed for a moment of foolishness. New York authorities have dismantled a motorcycle theft ring they say specialized in stealing high-end bikes off New York City streets in 30 seconds flat. Guy that video taped himself doing over 186 mph in Canada is and then posted it on Youtube is ratted out by his Facebook friends. Casey Stoner had an angry response to CRT bikes holding him up during qualifying but he took that fury to a satisfying win over Jorge Lorenzo at Laguna Seca. Dani Pedrosa takes third with Andrea Dovisioso in 4th and Cal Crutchlow in 5th. Ben Spies has a miserable week in California, wrecking twice. Valentino Rossi gets screwed by the corkscrew near the end of the race. Stoner pulled ever so slightly closer to Lorenzo in championship point, Pedrosa's third place gave Lorenzo a little breathing room. There was an exciting race in AMA Supersport with a flag-to-flag battle between Hayden Gillim and James Rispoli that wasn't decided until the checkered flag with Rispoli, the current Supersport West points leader taking the win. In AMA Daytona Sportbike we got treated to a terrific race between Martin Cardenas, Tommy Hayden and Cameron Beaubier. Beaubier had several near disasters, but his recovery skills were amazing. Beaubier managed to snag the lead in the second to final lap and hold on to take the win with Cardenas in second and Hayden taking third. Dane Westby, who has been contending for the championship, had an early race high-side but after getting back on in last place was able to move up to 18th but is now facing a 64 point deficit. Bobby Fong put up a strong fight but laid down his bike in the later stages and didn't finish. Roger Hayden, Larry Pegram, Danny Eslick, Jake Holden, and Dale Kieffer were involved in a wreck during AMA Pro Superbike qualifying at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Danny Eslick slammed his EBR into the airwall, but walked away and was able to start the race and compete with Blake Young for a podium position for most of the race.  Meanwhile Young's woes on his 2 year-old Yoshimura Suzuki continued but a final lap sprint to the line against Josh Herrin gave him second place by 2 hundredths of a second. Josh Hayes domination has made for a fairly boring AMA Superbike championship season, but you've got to tip your hat to Hayes near riding-perfection. Once again Hayes ran away with the race grabbing his first Superbike win at Laguna Seca.

Albuquerque, New Mexico judge suspended for 90 days without pay and now must reimburse the state for an investigation into his ordering of a the return of a motorcycle to the son of a friend. Washington, DC police department investigating motorcycle escort for the White House that made threatening comments directed toward First Lady Michelle Obama. Motocross was  in  Washougal, Washington.  Does Dungey's winning streak  continue? Marco Melandri gets his first SBK double - and he gets to go home with Manuela - Damn I hate him. Kawasaki is getting their act together but for Tom Sykes it was a frustrating double-second place. Biaggi gave up a lot of points this weekend which is going to make the remainder of the season very interesting - at least 3 riders are within reach of Biaggi, perhaps 4. Carlos Checa couldn't break out of third place, but Biaggi's miserable qualifying and mediocre finishes allowed Checa to remain in contention. Some really wild get-offs but fortunately no serious injuries.

A French electrician proved himself to be a real life MacGyver after becoming stranded in the Moroccan dessert.   In MotoGP Casey Stoner threw it away in the final lap at Sachsenring while Dani Pedrosa gets his first win of the season. Stoner pushed hard trying to overtake Pedrosa in the final laps, but coming up to the final turns Casey Stoner took a certain lead in the championship and handed it to Jorge Lorenzo, dropping to third place in the championship. Andrea Dovisioso took Stoner's screw-up to another podium finish. Ben Spies had benefited from Cal Crutchlow's mistake to nab a fourth place finish. In Moto2 Marc Marquez continued his domination taking the win in Sachsenring by nearly 2 seconds. Mike Kallio and Alex de Angelis battled back and forth for the last dozen laps, but a late pass by de Angelis wouldn't hold up and Kallio took second. Hard charging Pol Espargaro battled late with Thomas Luthi, but Espargaro was able to hold off Luthi to take fourth with Luthi less than 2 tenths of a second behind. In Moto3 Maverick Viñales couldn't cope with the wet track conditions, but after much criticism German rider Sandro Cortese took his home race and the lead in the Moto3 championship. Sandro Cortese became the first German to win a grand prix race at the Sachsenring in more than 13 years.

Big Ed Beckley, arguably the largest, and I use that term lightly, motorcycle daredevil weighing in a girly 330 pounds, finally got to jump on a motorcycle bigger than he is Saturday night, jumping over a dozen cars and causing a seismic disturbance. A mystery bidder is now the owner of a diamond encrusted bike designed by England's star footballer Wayne Rooney. The Motorcycle Action Group, a motorcycle campaign group, stages rides across the country in protest against newly proposed EU regulations on motorcyclists. Danielle Miles put her motorcycle up for sale so she could have money to pay for a trip to Japan where her husband, Kenny has been deployed, but a simple plan snowballed into a big mess. Two people who were injured when an Indianapolis police officer drove his cruiser into their stopped motorcycle are suing the officer, the police department and the city. AMA Daytona Sportbike Rider Cameron Beaubier nails his first win. The two Joshs: Josh Hayes and Josh Herrin duke it out in AMA Superbike race 1, but Hayes was unstoppable. In Race 2 it was Hayes again, but Blake Young took second.
