The DawgHouse #183

The DawgHouse show

Summary: Ben Spies isn’t leaving MotoGP but he may wish he had cause he’ll be riding a satellite Ducati . So Big Ben will go from riding one of the best bikes in the field to one that’s at best just a step above a CRT. How not to rob a Ducati dealer: Former promoter of the MotoGP race planned starting at the new Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas is now battling the track in court. The Dallas County Sheriff's office issued a 38-day suspension today to Deputy James Westbrook after footage showed him seizing a camera from a motorcycle rider. Moto2 from Misano went only 3 laps before Gino Rea’s motor let go bringing out the red flag. But for some strange reason the Gods of MotoGP decided to slice 9 laps off the race when it restarted. From 23 remaining laps they restarted with only 14 laps to go. The race restarted with Crazy Joe Iannone on the pole and Marquez in second - a flip of how the race started. Iannone began to gap the field after Marquez had a moment, but later in the race Crazy Joe's tires went away allowing Pol Espargaro and Marquez to reel him in. Marquez and Espargao fought it out over the final two laps and in a great final lap they went back and forth with Marquez taking the win, Espargaro 2nd and Iannone 3rd. Misano will be a race that Dani Pedrosa will want to forget. Pedrosa's chances of winning the 2012 MotoGP championship was dealt a terrible blow when his team had problems removing a tire warmer before the sighting lap and then Hector Barbara put in the death-blow by taking Dani out of the race. Jorge Lorenzo went on to an easy win, followed by a surprisingly well ridden race by Valentino Rossi and Alvaro Bautista got his first MotoGP podium.
