 Episode 39 – Earth VS The Spider | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:14:26

My audio log has a first name, it’s E-A-R-T-H! My audio log has a second name, it’s S-P-I-D-E-R! This week is a very musical audio log where we work on cooking up a bunch of different jingles for a very specific product. Jeff even does a rap! We have fun here. We also discuss MST3K Season 3 Episode 13, Earth VS The Spider. There are a lot of questionable things in this movie, like the decision to store the corpse of a giant spider inside a 1950s high school science classroom. For example. It’s also one of the few episodes on which Seth and Jeff have a differing opinion, which makes for some interesting discussion as well. Once you’re done enjoying our songs and MST3K talk, head over to our Facebook page and join the discussion about all things MST3K, follow us on Twitter, and if you’re feeling extra happy because of all of our great singing, go to our iTunes page and leave us a nice review. Thank you for listening!

 Episode 38 – Gamera VS Guiron! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:13:40

I’m not going to lie, being stuck in space with relatively nothing to do can leave a person pining for entertainment of pretty much any kind. Unless of course the “entertainment” is the kind that Dr. Odd foisted upon us (and indirectly you, fair listeners) this week. We apologize in advance. This week we discuss MST3K Season 3 Episode 12 – Gamera VS Guiron. I don’t need to tell you that we already LOVE Gamera, and that this is the most loveable Gamera movie we’ve watched so far. Plus it has amazing music. Plus it features the world’s weirdest kids. There isn’t really much to dislike about this episode, and we gush about it accordingly. Once you’re done listening, you should head over to our facebook page and join the discussion about all things MST3K, follow us on Twitter, and if you’re feeling particularly generous, go to our iTunes page and leave us a nice review. Thanks for listening!

 Episode 37 – It Conquered The World! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:26:49

“Or DID it?” is what we smugly ask no one in particular any time anyone says the title of this film out loud. Ok, not really, but you have to admit, it is a blatantly misleading title. Anyway, this week we get up to more hijinks – Nolbot is back and is mad at everyone for his time spent is servitude as a sign spinning bank mascot. Oh, and Dr. Odd went to some sort of seminar and thinks he knows about business strategy now. So that’s great. We also discuss MST3K S3E11 – It Conquered the World (or DID it?) – probably the shortest feature we’ve seen so far in the series. Luckily it’s paired with the wonderful short “Snow Thrills”, a delightful romp through the world of fun wintery activities from a time before things like “helmets”, “quick release ski bindings” and “a basic regard for human life” existed. When you’re done listening, head over and join the discussion on our Facebook page, or follow us on Twitter. And if you’re interested in being a particularly cool human being, stop by our iTunes page and leave us a review!   Thanks for listening!

 Episode 36 – Fugitive Alien | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:29:01

Hello friends! It’s good to be back! Be warned though, Dr. Odd has an… interesting… investment opportunity for you. Just make sure to hold onto that strawberry Fanta when you jump into the ball pit. This week we discuss MST3K S3E10 – Fugitive Alien, a made for TV movie made from cut together clips from a failed TV series. Despite its questionable roots, it happens to be one of those perfect movies that not only lends itself to MST3K riffing, but also turns out to be a pretty silly and enjoyable film on its own. Ugh. I think I’ve been in space too long, because I just called Fugitive Alien a “film”. Once you’re done listening, head over and join the discussion on our Facebook page, follow us on Twitter, or if you’re feeling particularly awesome, go to our iTunes page and give us a review.   Thanks for listening!

 Episode 35 – The Amazing Colossal Man! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:11:40

This week’s episode begins with Dr. Odd warning us that “Things are going to be weird this week.” Despite our initial misgivings and disbelief that they could be weirder than NORMAL, it turns out… he was right. When you’re done listening, make sure to head over to our Facebook page and join the discussion about MST3K VHS tapes, MST3K memories, pretty much anything MST3K. You can also follow us on Twitter, and if you’re feeling like being an Amazing Colossal Friend, go to our iTunes page and write us a nice review.   Thanks for listening!

 Episode 34 – Gamera VS Gaos | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:06:05

Carbonated beverages are flowing up here in space this week, although we kind of wish they weren’t. We also discuss MST3K S3E8, Gamera VS Gaos, which is collectively one of our least favorite MST3K episodes to date thanks to greedy farmers, a lack of protagonist, and some pretty questionable riffing. It’s pretty much everyone’s fault EXCEPT Gamera, who remains a great and wonderful spinning fire turtle. Once you’re done listening (or during, if you’re a super-great multi-tasker) head over to our Facebook page and join the discussion about all things MST3K, follow us on Twitter, and if you’re feeling extra awesome, give us a review on iTunes. Thanks for listening!

 Episode 33 – Daddy-O | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:08:02

This week, between the dice rolls of epic adventure, the gang sits down to talk about boring beatnick wannabe film Daddy-O and THE BEST SHORT WE’VE SEEN SO FAR EVER, Alphabet Antics. Also, the host segments in this episode are good. Like, REALLY good. Once you’re done listening (or during, if you’re good at multi-tasking), you should head over to our Facebook page and join the MST3K/episode/random stuff discussion, or follow us on Twitter. And if you want a +D50 to your Awesome stat, stop by our page on iTunes and leave us a review! Thanks for listening!

 Episode 32 – Time of the Apes! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 57:13

Have you ever been sitting around watching Planet of the Apes and said to yourself “I wish this movie was a lot weirder!” Well then, sir or madame, I have the MOVIE for you. Time of the Apes is a time travel-y, UFO-y, Japanese version of Planet of the Apes that has just the right amount of bad and weird to make a great MST3K episode. Joel and the bots are on point this episode delivering strong riffs over a movie that manages to be weird and loveable enough to make you not hate it. Once you’re done listening, stop by our Facebook page and join our many discussions about all things MST3K, or follow us on Twitter. Also don’t be afraid to travel forward in time to visit a race of talking apes, but if that turns out to be too much of a time commitment, stop by our iTunes page instead and leave us a review.   Thanks for listening!

 Episode 31 – Stranded In Space! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 58:13

I’m not going to lie, the title of this episode hits a little close to home for us. And not like that time Seth kept claiming he was a Jungle Goddess, mostly because we actually ARE stranded in space. Imagine our disdain when we found out that not only was the main character in this movie NOT stranded in actual space, but the ‘alien’ world on which he WAS stranded was essentially a suburb of Los Angeles. Whoever made this movie should be ashamed. For more than one reason. Once you’ve finished listening, you should head over to our facebook page, and follow us on twitter. If you feel like being a super-extra great, stop by our iTunes page as well and leave us a nice review.   Thanks for listening!

 Episode 30 – Gamera VS Barugon | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:02:35

Heeeeyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy there, friends! It’s been awhile. Sorry about that, we had some extemporaneous circumstances we had to deal with. But the important thing is, WE’RE BACK! And boy-howdy, what a doozie of a movie to come back to. Gamera VS Barugon is a Japanese Kaiju movie featuring Gamera, except without much Kaiju action, most of the things that make Gamera movies great (where is his dumb child sidekick?) and very few scenes that actually include GAMERA. Regardless, it’s still a very strong MST3K episode, and should be cherished. CHERISH IT! Once you’ve finished listening (or during, if you’re a multi-tasker) you can follow us on Twitter or head over to our Facebook group and join the active discussion about all things MST3K (among other things). If you’re SUPER glad that we’re back, go to our iTunes page and leave us a nice review – it helps other people like you who enjoy MST3K to find and enjoy the show! Thanks for listening!

 Episode 29 – Pod People | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 51:20

This week we watched Pod People. There’s nothing else to really say. We aren’t shy that this is one of (if not our top) favorite episode we’ve watched (and possibly all time). All that’s left to do now is to sit back, relax, and listen to how much we love Pod People, Music from the Hearts of Space, and remembering how we went to school with Faruk Alatan. Once you’re done listening, pop by our facebook page and join the post-episode discussion, say hi on twitter, or leave us a winged potato-I mean REVIEW on our iTunes page. Thanks for listening!

 Episode 28 – Gamera! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 44:41

Yay! We finally got to watch the first Gamera Episode! What exactly is it about Gamera that makes us love him so much? Is it his confusing origin story? Is it the fact that one of his powers is to shoot sparklers out of his shell and spin around? Who knows! We just love him and we love this episode a lot. When you’re done listening, head over and join the discussion of all things MST3K on our Facebook page, and follow us on Twitter for episode updates. If you love Gamera as much as we do, go to our iTunes page and leave us a review. Thanks for listening!

 Episode 28 – Cave Dwellers! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 43:22

Yay! We’re back! And boy oh boy, is the first episode of the third season of MST3K a doozie. Cave Dwellers totally steals our idea of a 20 second recap and expands it into a 10 minute slew of fantastic names and places. And that’s just the beginning! Several growling snakes, a hang-glider and some coconut bombs later, and you have yourself a MOVIE. Too bad there aren’t really any cave dwellers present. Once you’re done listening to the show, head over and discuss on our facebook page, or say hi on twitter! And if you’re feeling really REALLY happy that we’re back, go to our iTunes page and leave a review. Thanks for listening!

 Episode 27 – Season 2 Recap! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 42

This week Seth and Jeff take a look back at season 2 of MST3K. There are laughs, tears, and quite a bit of talk about Denver the Last Dinosaur. Once you’ve listened to the podcast, give your two cents about season 2 over on our facebook page, follow us on Twitter, and if you’re in a REALLY great mood stop by our iTunes page and write us a nice review. Thanks for listening!

Episode 26 – Godzilla vs the Sea Monster! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 59:02

Do yourselves a favor – grab a slice of pizza and familiarize yourselves with Terry O’Quinn before tonight’s audio log. What am I talking about? Of course you’re already familiar with Terry O’Quinn. Never mind. This week we discuss the FINAL episode of Season 2 – Godzilla vs the Sea Monster! It’s a pretty good ep… just not AS good of an episode as the previous Godzilla vs Megalon. In our opinion anyway. We’ve been wrong before. Once you’ve taken in the aural glory that is this week’s audio log, you can head over to our facebook page to chat about it (or anything else), follow us on twitter, AND if you’re feeling like being a real hero to captured pacific islanders everywhere, leave us a review on our iTunes page. Thanks for listening!
