 Episode 11 – Moon Zero Two! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:03:53

MOOOOOOOOOOOON ZERO TWOOOOOOOOOOO! (as sung to the tune of “Moon Zero Two” from the movie Moon Zero Two). Yes – it’s that time again! Join us as we sit down for the most pointless meeting EVER, and then record an audio log about Moon Zero Two – one of our favorite movies riffed by MST3K so far, and our new winner of the award for “Best Movie Title Related Theme Song Set to An Amazing Animated Opening Credit Sequence”. It’s seriously FANTASTIC. Don’t believe me? Listen/watch for yourselves: If you like the show, then you should head over to our facebook page and become a fan, or follow us on Twitter. And if you love us EXTRA LOTS for getting the Moon Zero Two theme song stuck in your head, give us a rating on our iTunes page! Thanks for listening!

 Episode 10 – Robot Holocaust! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:01:53

Quasars, Black Holes and Coments! Oh My! This week we argue with Nolbot about whether or not we need to learn more facts about space. I personally think that we know enough, but apparently  Nolbot feels otherwise. Who knew that the Horsehead Nebula wasn’t made of actual horses? We also watch MST3K Episode 10 – Robot Holocaust, which is the first ever color movie on which Joel and the Bots riffed! This turns out to be less of a triumph and more of a novelty since the movie turns out to be a total bummer. Fortunately the whole thing was salvaged with some good, old-fashioned comedy riffing! If you haven’t yet, you should head over to our facebook page and give us a like – it’s a super great place to chat with us about MST3K, or just life in general. You can also follow us on twitter, and if you’re feeling like being a super amazing person and really making our day, stop by our iTunes page and leave a rating/review. Thanks for listening!

 Episode 9 – Project Moonbase! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 51:50

Greetings from orbit! We’re back again – still missing Earth, but as long as things continue to remain interesting up here in space, we don’t have TOO much to complain about. We met a new friend this weekend too! It’s someone from Dr. Odd’s past, so it goes without saying that they were more insane than a phasmophobe wearing a space helmet filled with ghosts. This week we talk about MST3K Season 1 Episode 9 – Project Moonbase – a movie which we agreed was delightful despite being certifiably crazy, and is in our opinion one of the best first season MST3K episodes we’ve watched so far. As always, you should head over and follow us on Twitter, like us on Facebook, and if you can stop your ghost helmet from screaming for a minute or two, rate and review us on our iTunes page. Thanks for listening!

 Episode 8 – The Slime People! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 52:21

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzhuh… What? No! We’re awake! I promise! We have been the whole time! I’m not lying! Ok. I’ m lying. But only because this week, Joel and the Bots had to watch the 1963 cinematic travesty The Slime People, which wasn’t just a bad movie, it was the MOST BORING MOVIE MST3K HAS RIFFED YET. It’s nothing but all the world’s fog and all the world’s grunting combined into an hour or so of “entertainment”. Joel and the Bots even exhibit some above average riffing this week and it’s still not enough to have kept us awake long enough to watch this movie in one sitting. Oh, and the movie was also preceded by ANOTHER Commando Cody short. Yay. This movie is so boring that whenzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Sorry. I was thinking about Commandy Cody and The Slime People and drifted off again. Anyway – enjoy this week’s audio log, which is several magnitudes more entertaining than The Slime People! If you’re looking for even more entertainment you can head on over to our Facebook page and give us a like, or follow us on Twitter! And if you’re the type of person who needs to STARE ENTERTAINMENT IN THE FACE WHILE IT STARES BACK AT YOU then would you kindly head over to our iTunes page and give us a rating? You’re the best. Thanks for listening!

 Episode 7 – The Robot Monster! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 50:20

Whoa there! Things are out of control this week! We’re still stuck in space (of course) and we try our hand at brewing some fancy adult beverages… then everything kind of goes downhill from there. Not necessarily in a bad way, just in a weird one. Oh! And wait until you meet this week’s special visitor. This really is an audio log  for the record books. We also talk about Mystery Science Theater 3000: Episode 7 – The Robot Monster, an episode in which Joel and the bots watch a film so bad that upon it’s release, the director tried to kill himself (we assume out of embarrassment). There are also TWO (2!) Commando Cody shorts this episode, which make things extra bad. Extra double SUPER THANKS to this week’s guest star, the fantastic Mr. Justin McElroy – host of the AMAZING comedy advice podcast My Brother My Brother and Me, the equally great video game podcast Besties! and managing editor at Polygon.com, the internet’s newest and greatest games website. If you enjoy things that are both intelligently hilarious and incredibly well made, you owe it to yourselves to check out Justin’s work. Here are the links again in case your religion prohibits re-reading blogs: My Brother My Brother and Me Besties! Polygon.com As always, you should head over to our Facebook page and give us a like, and also follow us on Twitter. If you’re feeling like being a really great pal, you can also stop by our iTunes page and write us a nice review. Thanks for listening!

 Episode 6 – The Crawling Hand! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 56:05

HEY EVERYBODY!!! WE AREN’T DEAD!!!! Now that we have THAT out of the way… We apologize for not letting you know sooner. This audio log was recorded in the midst of us thinking we were going to die… and then it turned out that we didn’t. Long story short, we’ve spent the last few weeks doing a marathon life-dance and just being HAPPY. Since then, the reality of our situation has set back in, and with that, the realization that we should let everyone know that we survived… and also post an audio log. This week we discuss MST3K episode 6 – The Crawling Hand. It’s a movie that isn’t as weird as the last few, but luckily it stars Alan Hale Jr. AKA “The Skipper” from Gilligan’s Island, which MORE than makes up for the lack of strangeness. Other topics include: The Harlem Globetrotters, Murderball, Nerf Robots, and a whole bunch of other great stuff. Once you’re done enjoying this audio log, you should stop by and “like” our Facebook fan page and follow us on Twitter. And if you’re feeling like being an EXTRA wonderful person, head over to our iTunes page and give us a review. Thanks for listening!

 Episode 5 – The Corpse Vanishes! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 46:02

Well everyone, it looks like this may be it. We just finished recording our last audio log and as I type this, our ship’s reactor is going critical. Everything seems to be coming to a rather abrupt Commado Cody-esque close… Hey now! Cheer up! Even in the face of certain doom, we were able to record one last audio log for you! We talk about MST3K Episode 5 – The Corpse Vanishes… which manages to be an even weirder movie than last week’s Women of the Prehistoric Planet. Go figure! We also talk about Positronic Brains, Tiger Bot magazine and prop comedy  and lots of other stuff! Feel free to honor our (very radioactive) memories on our facebook page, or to follow our ghosts on twitter. Don’t forget, even dead people appreciate iTunes reviews… Thanks for listening! See you on the other side!

Episode 4 – Women of the Prehistoric Planet | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 44:42

Hello! We hope this podcast finds you in good spirits, as it still finds us… still stuck in space. Don’t feel sorry for us though! We had a lot of great stuff happen to us this week! We had some STARTLING developments with our robot, and discovered even MORE weird stuff about Dr. Odd (if you can believe THAT). You may notice that this week’s audio-log is quite a bit longer than previous entries – we decided to make some changes and switch up the format a bit. Essentially it means MORE time talking about MST3K – which is great! If you haven’t already, you should head over to our Facebook page and give us a like, and then follow us on Twitter. Oh, and since Dr. Odd won’t let us have any Tang! to drink, you should stop by our iTunes page and write us a review! Thanks for listening!

 Episode 3 – The Mad Monster | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 25:34

Greetings from orbit! This week on the show we find out a little nugget about Dr. Odd’s past, finally come to an agreement over the whole Robot debacle, and… oh yes watch MST3K Episode 3 – The Mad Monster. We won’t spoil it too much, but this is BY FAR the WORST movie that Joel and the bots have had to watch yet. It stinks! Once you’re done listening, you should go to our facebook page and “like” us, and then follow us on twitter! Oh, and if you’re REALLY awesome, you’ll leave us an iTunes review. But only if you’re REALLY awesome. Thanks for listening!

Episode 2 – The Robot VS The Aztec Mummy | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 22:07

Hello everyone! It’s time for another episode of Gizmonic Institutes Radio! Aren’t you excited?! This week we talk about MST3K Episode 2: The Robot VS The Aztec Mummy – the movie that sounds like it should be awesome… but isn’t. We try to shed some light on how such an amazing premise could fall so flat in the execution, as well as spend some time talking  depth about “Demon Dogs”… Seth is also in the process of building something… which could have ominous consequences up here in space. Thanks for listening! If you haven’t already, head over to our page on Facebook and “like” us, and then follow us on Twitter! See you next time!

 Episode 01 – The Crawling Eye | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 22:18

Hello there! We’re still stuck up in space, but luckily there’s PLENTY of stuff happening to keep us from getting bored. This week we accidentally help Dr. Odd by giving him an idea for a new “beverage” which… has the potential to turn out badly. BUT DON’T WORRY -we also spend a lot of time talking about Mystery Science Theater 3000, Episode 01: The Crawling Eye! If you have any feedback about our show, or you just want to drop us a line to tell us how much you love MST3K, you can send a letter to: mail@gizmonicinstitutesradio.com We’d love to hear from you!
