We want our church to embody his love for each other and our city. While the doctrines that express our faith in him aren't everything, they help give shape to our faith.

Pastor Darrin Patrick explains the difference between justification (Christ dying for our sins) and sanctification (Christ living in us to change us). Our standing and acceptance from God comes first by faith, while obedience follows through the help and strength of the Holy Spirit. When we take hold of this truth, we can use our faith practically to combat addiction, sin, and insecurity, knowing that we are dead to sin, but alive in Christ—that we have a power source at work within us, transforming our character to make us more and more like Jesus.
