The Injustice System show

The Injustice System

Summary: America we have a problem. Our justice system is unjust. A few years ago I ran across a website called Surviving the System. It was about innocent prisoners and prison conditions. I decided to get involved and I started the site called The Injustice System. I have upset some people and have had my life threatened because of my fight but it will continue.

 Why I Should Smack A White Boy | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 02:00:00

This panel will try to explore a variety of anarchist perspectives on the origins and impacts of incarceration, strategies and opportunities for resistance and prisoner support, and prison abolition. We will begin our discussion with a focus on the racialized militarization of justice, linking contemporary mass incarceration to a long-standing, white-supremacist confinement and genocide of Africans. We will go on to examine the particular challenges facing incarcerated women, discussing current strategies of resistance carried out by those behind bars, opportunities for solidarity and support from people on the outside, and ways abolitionists can support reform without inadvertently strengthening the prison system. Finally we will discuss, for a long-ass time, the importance of supporting political prisoners and how those efforts contribute to prison abolition more broadly. There will hopefully be time for meaningful and relevant questions and discussions following brief presentations by the speakers as well as opportunities to get involved in anti-prison work. But maybe not... Also see: http://www.archive.org/details/ShutUpWhiteBoyLetMeSpeak_793

FBI Informants In Activist Groups - The Eric McDavid Story | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 02:00:00

Is the FBI infiltrating your group? This is the story about how the FBI infiltrated activists groups and put several people in prison for more than 20 years for basically what amounts to Thoughtcrimes. Eric McDavid was arrested (along with Zachary Jenson and Lauren Weiner) on January 13, 2006, as part of the government's ongoing Green Scare campaign. All three were charged with "Conspiracy to damage and destroy property by fire and an explosive." His arrest was the direct result of a government informant - known only as "Anna" - who spent a year and a half drawing him in and working with the FBI to fabricate a crime and implicate Eric in it. Anna was paid over $65,000 for her work with the FBI. Eric was imprisoned for what amounts to thought-crime - no actions were ever carried out, and Eric was charged with a single count of "conspiracy" - a powerful legal tool often used by the state to crush dissent. Friends of Eric present information about his case, which serves as a lens through which to study the basic concepts of entrapment, the use of informants, and government repression in general. Unfortunately, the use of these tools by the state is becoming more and more prevalent, and it's imperative that people understand how they work. This effects ANYONE who protests the Government. This could happen to anyone of us, including YOU! http://www.archive.org/details/FBI_Informants_In_Activist_Groups_-_The_Eric_McDavid_Story

First Arrival of the Foreigners, Colonial History and Implications for Indigenous People Today | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 02:00:00

"There are only two federal holidays in America named after a historical figure, Martin Luther King Day and Columbus Day. Martin Luther King was a civil rights activist whose dedication to the human rights of minorities in America changed history and the lives of minorities in America forever. Christopher Columbus was an early explorer of claimed Italian descent who brutalized, tortured, murdered, raped, sold into slavery and decimated indigenous populations of the Americas. One has to wonder why America would honor the atrocities against indigenous people with a holiday to honor the perpetrator of these acts. Why does the American government continue to honor, with a national holiday, a man with a legacy of genocide, who never set foot in the United States of American and whose own homeland, Italy, has no day to celebrate him. This paper explores the recorded history of the beginning of the American holocaust, the acts of Christopher Columbus, and the United States Government herofication of the perpetrators of genocide and the American Holocaust." http://www.archive.org/details/Enlightenment_on_Columbus_Day
