Carly Pope, actress, Outlaw, Popular | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:30:00

"Outlaw" stars Emmy Award winner Jimmy Smits ("NYPD Blue," "The West Wing") as Cyrus Garza, a playboy and a gambler. Justice Garza always adhered to a strict interpretation of the law until he realized the system he believed in was flawed. Now, he's quit the bench and returned to private practice. Using his inside knowledge of the justice system, Garza and his team will travel across the country taking on today's biggest and most controversial legal cases. The show airs on NBC every Friday night at 10 p.m. Garza's team includes his best friend since childhood, Al Druzinsky (David Ramsey), a brilliant defense attorney with liberal beliefs; Mereta Stockman (Ellen Woglom), a hopeless romantic who is Garza's loyal law clerk; Lucinda Pearl (Carly Pope), a wildly unorthodox private investigator who uses her sex appeal and wit to gather information for Garza and Eddie Franks (Jesse Bradford), a tightly wound, rabidly ambitious Yale-educated attorney, recently hired as Garza's law clerk. Pope has recurred on critically acclaimed television shows such as “24,” “Dirt” and “Californication.” On the feature film side, she recently wrapped the sequel to SWAT opposite Gabriel Macht. She also starred in Young People F******. Many also remember Pope in Two For the Money and Orange County. She also played Sam on the series “Popular.” Find more original interviews @ Mr. Media Radio • Twitter

But the one my daughter and I especially enjoy above all others is “Chuck.” One of the perks of hosting this show is getting the opportunity to interview men and women whose work I enjoy. And I’m delighted to welcome back for a second show the man who puts the “ster” in the “Chuck” house band “Jeffster,” the actor who brings “Buy More” sales associate “Lester Patel” to life, Vik Sahay.  Saul Austerlitz, author, Another Fine Mess: A History of American Film Comedy | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:30:00

Charlie Chaplin. Buster Keaton. The Marx Brothers. Billy Wilder. Woody Allen. The Coen brothers. Where would the American film be without them? Yet the cinematic genre these artists represent -- comedy -- has perennially received short shrift from critics, film buffs, and the Academy Awards. Saul Austerlitz’s Another Fine Mess is an attempt to right that wrong. Running the gamut of film history from City Lights to Knocked Up, Another Fine Mess retells the story of American film from the perspective of its unwanted stepbrother -- the comedy. In 30 long chapters and 100 shorter entries, each devoted primarily to a single performer or director, Another Fine Mess retraces the steps of the American comedy film, filling in the gaps and following the connections that link Mae West to Doris Day, or W. C. Fields to Will Ferrell. Austerlitz's work has been published in the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Boston Globe, Slate, and other publications. Mabel’s simple beauty trick ignited Tom Lyle’s imagination and the young entrepreneur started what would eventually become a billion-dollar business. Tom Lyle named Maybelline in her honor. Sharrie Williams is heir to the Maybelline legacy and family steward of the vast documentation that traces Maybelline's history. Sharrie is Tom Lyle Williams’s grandniece and Evelyn Boecher Williams’s granddaughter.  Brittany Perry-Russell, actress and dancer, Honey 2, Glee | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:26:00

On the heels of “Glee” and “CSI: NY,” Brittany Perry-Russell has danced her way into Universal’s Honey 2. As the breakout character Lyric, Perry-Russell embraces the opportunity to combine her love of acting and her passion for dance. “Lyric is a very complex young woman. She has a tough exterior yet she is very vulnerable. She eats, sleeps and breathes dance. She is driven, and her energy brings the heat to the HD Crew,” says Perry-Russell. Not entirely unlike the character she portrays in the film, the charismatic actress literally crashed the audition in order to read for the “Honey 2” producers. Without an appointment or even a pass to enter the studio lot, Perry-Russell charmed her way into the room where she went on to outshine the competition for the role of Lyric. The character was subsequently developed into lead status. Perry-Russell made the transition from lead dancer to leading lady in “Stompin” as Queen B Sorority Girl Julia. She went on to portray a tough as nails lingerie football player on “CSI: NY.” On “Glee,” she has a recurring role as a Cheerio and has appeared in numerous episodes of the popular series - including The Power of Madonna.  Andrea Lin, dance instructor, Dance A GoGo Sexy Nightclub Workout | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:31:00

Andrea Lin’s fascination with dance began as a child after reading stories about characters who devoted their lives to becoming prima ballerinas. She began formal ballet training in her native Taiwan. But before long the rigorous Taiwanese educational system forced her to devote more than 10 hours a day to more “practical” studies. Even though Andrea gained acceptance to Taiwan’s most prestigious university by placing second in the national exams, she was not willing to sacrifice her dream of a career in dance: "I never wanted to look back at my life with regrets, knowing that I never pursued my dreams due to my cowardice. I wanted a life worth living - not guided by fear. I was driven by passion, not courage." Andrea worked as an English instructor and scrimped and saved enough money to move to the U.S. to pursue her dream. At the age of eighteen, she moved to New York where she expanded her dancing repertoire to include jazz, hip-hop, and musical theater. The pulsing, creative energy of her new home energized her to surpass her original goals. She has been a featured dancer in music videos for Madonna, Britney Spears, Lenny Kravitz, P. Diddy, Lil’ Kim, and Mariah Carey, among others. Andrea’s new dance instruction DVD is now available featuring Hip-Hop, Ballroom, Salsa & Cutting Edge Moves.
