Fear is a crippling form of insecurity that can keep us from experiencing the abundant life. Each of us can learn to trust Him when we're faced with a circumstance that is out of our control.
There is a spiritual war being waged for our marriages and sensuality is the weapon the enemy is using to fight with. People are inundated every day with graphic images and music and words that make sexual sin seem appealing and fulfilling.
Relationships are meant to be enjoyed. When couples stop having fun, it’s usually for a lack of effort. We'll focus on practical ways to fall in love and stay in love by learning to date again.
Every marriage will experience conflict. Whether the tension is related to finances, parenting, smother-in-laws, or personalities, selfishness is at the root of it. Learning how to handle a fight (learning how to communicate) before one happens is a vital goal.
If you don’t seek God first in your marriage, it will fail. I think most of us would agree that commitment is lacking in a lot of modern marriages. Two out of every three divorces in 2012 have the word “Facebook” somewhere in the court papers. Disposable marriage is the new norm. This message is a relationship 911 crash course on how to reverse the trend of broken marriages.
Keep it simple in 2013. Work God’s 3-step program every day. Do the right thing, dispense grace, and stay humbly dependent on God and you will find the pace of your life very enjoyable.
Certain parts of your life will be more challenging than others. Listening to the right voice at the right time will help you know when and where to turn. Knowing how to listen to the Spirit is key if you want to end up where God wants to lead you.
Walking alone is no fun, especially through life. So choose someone who is wise who will walk along beside you.
How did I get here? Or the more important question would be: where am I going? God has a road that he wants you to travel on with Him. If you don’t know where you want to end up in life or if you do know but you don’t have a map to guide you, life will be filled with aimless wandering.
Dr. Matthew Sleeth describes our symptoms, clarifies the signs, diagnoses the illness, and lays out a simple plan for living a healthier, more God-centered life in a digitally-dazed, always-on world.
We wrap up our series with the incredible story of God invading humanity with this simple but very beautiful hope filled message: Even if it looks like death has the final say, life always wins.
When was the last time you went to a birthday party and angels showed up? We head through Luke 2 and learn more about the importance of those who were on the guest list to the party.
Can you imagine singing happy birthday to Jesus, throwing confetti, and wearing cone hats when no one in the room agrees with the marriage relationship between Mary and Joseph? We take a look at Mary and Joseph’s side of the story.
Like everybody else mentioned in the birth narratives of Jesus, John the Baptist realizes Jesus’ birthday party is not about him.
