Szymanowski był nie tylko utalentowanym pianistą, ale też bardzo dobrym kompozytorem. Naukę muzyki rozpoczął już jako dziecko pod kierunkiem ojca, zamożnego polskiego ziemianina. Następnie podjął decyzję o rozwoju kariery muzycznej i został uczniem Gustawa Neuhausa. Uczęszczał do jego szkoły muzycznej w Elizawetgradzie, a potem do Konserwatorium Warszawskiego. W muzyce Szymanowskiego słychać wpływy jego podróży, innych kompozytorów i muzyków - Richarda Straussa, Maxa Regera i Claude'a Debussy, by wymienić kilku. W dużym stopniu inspirował go również jego rodak – Chopin, a także polska muzyka ludowa, której słuchał zarówno jako dziecko, jak i dorosły. Do najpopularniejszych kompozycji Szymanowskiego należą symfonie na orkiestrę - III Symfonia „Pieśń o nocy" oraz IV Symfonia (Symphonie concertante), a także dwa koncerty na skrzypce. Szymanowski tworzył też opery (np. „Król Roger") oraz utwory na fortepian (np. „Mity"). Szymanowski zmarł na gruźlicę 28 marca 1937 roku w sanatorium w Lozannie. ----Formal English---- Szymanowski Born Karol Maciej Szymanowski on October 3, 1882 in Tymoszówka, now known as Cherkasy Oblast, Ukraine, Szymanowski was not only a talented pianist but also a highly skilled composer. He first began studying music as a child under the direction of his father, a wealthy Polish gentry landowner. After honing his skills with his father, he made the decision to pursue music as a career and became a full-time student, first at Gustav Neuhaus' Elizavetgrad School of Music and later at the State Conservatory in Warsaw. Szymanowski's works were influenced by a variety of things, including his travels and other composers and musicians like Richard Strauss, Max Reger, and Claude Debussy, to list a few of them. Fellow Polish composer Frederic Chopin was another person who heavily inspired him, and Szymanowski also drew insight from the Polish folk music he listened to both as a child and an adult. A few of his more popular pieces include four symphonies—"No. 3 Song of the Night," "No. 4 Symphony Concertante," and two violin concertos. He also did some theatre and stage work such as the opera "Krol Rodger," and piano music like "The Three Myths." On March 28, 1937, Szymanowski's life came to a tragic end when he passed away from tuberculosis in a sanatorium in Lausanne, Switzerland. --------------------------- Learn Polish with PolishPod101!
