Commonwealth Bank of Australia is under fire for alleged breaches of money laundering and terrorism financing laws.   The talk-back show Monday 7 August 2017 with Sylva Mezher and Ghassan Nakhoul (كيف يمكن تحويل مئات الملايين من الدولارات إلى الخارج من دون تنبُّه السلطات؟وأين القوانين التي تُطبق بحذافيرها وفوراً على الناس العاديين فيما تبدو غائبة عندما يتعلق الأمر بأرباب المال؟  )

Liberal front-bencher Craig Laundy says the Turnbull government must stand by its pledge to hold a plebiscite on gay marriage.   A special party room meeting on Monday will try to work through conflict between those who back a plebiscite and those behind a free parliamentary vote.   Mr Laundy has told the A-B-C .. there could be backlash from voters if the government walks away from its election promise.     (????????)

The detainess in Manus Island's detention centres have been organising peaceful sit-ins in the centre protesting the power and water cut off.   Detainees allege that there are about 50 men who exhibited health problems especially vomiting as a result of lack of hygiene in the centre.   More details in this interview. In Victoria, the decision to ban smoking in foreign places began in all shops offering food, such as restaurants and cafes (بدأ في ولاية فيكتوريا العمل بقرار حظر التدخين في الاماكن الخارجية في كل المحال التي تقد الاطعمة كالمطاعم والمقاهي  )

When the Federal Government flagged changes to the Citizenship Act this year, those changes were met with considerable criticism.   Critics suggested the new language test and permanent-residency requirements would be especially onerous, potentially destabilising thousands of families.   The Government invited community feedback on the proposed changes in June, and, now, almost 500 submissions have been tabled into parliament.   We look here at the specific concerns of the submissions and those writing them.   (متشددة وغير منصفة! هذا ما جاء في غالبية الآراء حول الشروط الجديدة للجنسية الاسترالية  )

The Australian Medical Association warned of the risk of Australian pilgrims being infected with serious diseases, some of them fatal if they do not take the necessary precautions before going to pilgrimage this year   On the most important health precautions that must be followed by pilgrims, the General Doctor Dr. Mustafa Alamuddin talked about the two types of vaccines required by the Saudi authorities to grant the Hajj visa. In addition to these two types, there are several vaccines that are recommended for older people and those who are vulnerable to immunity (حذرت نقابة الاطباء الاستراليين من خطر تعرض الحجّاج الاستراليين الى عدوى امراض خطيرة وبعضها قاتل في حال عدم اتخاذهم للاحتياطات الصحية اللازمة قبل توجههم للحج هذا العام  )

Two men will face a Sydney court this morning (fri) accused of planning a terrorist act over an alleged plot to bring down a plane.   Federal police say the 49-year-old from Lakemba and a 32-year-old from Punchbowl were both charged with two counts of acting in preparation for or planning a terrorist act.   Both men are scheduled to appear before Parramatta Court this morning.   The maximum penalty for the offence is life imprisonment.   A third man remains behind bars, held under special anti-terror laws, while police investigations continue.     (???????????? )
