Episode 115 – Anatomy of Ending a Fight | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

This is a re-broadcast from my podcast posted at Handgun World Show. Some of you may not listen to that show, but I wanted you to hear this material because it definitely pertains to those of you who conceal carry as a preparation for your self defense. Obviously you'll hear me talk about my "Handgun World Show" and a few ads for it, but the main topic should fit right in here. Please read the excellent post by mjollnir on this subject too. Please keep in mind, I do not in any way advocate killing or using lethal force unless it’s absolutely necessary. Please educate yourself on when to use deadly force. Courses by Massad Ayoob and Tom Givens are excellent resources on this topic. But if you do have to use your gun I hope you find some good basics as to how you can more likely stop your attackers. I’ll discuss things like CNS hits, RS hits, CS hits and effective stopping power techniques. Please read an excellent post on this too sent to me by a listener. Good stuff complete with a video! You’ll also hear why I really don’t think caliber is a big deal. Big and slow vs. small and fast, it really doesn’t matter, in my opinion. What matters more is how effectively you can react and place your shots and where you place them. Resources: Second Amendment Foundation News

Episode 114 – Networking for Survival | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Building your survival network is one of the more important preparedness techniques you can learn. I'm a firm believer that who you know is often as important as what you know. So in this episode I will discuss some ideas on how to prepare in advance and find the right people who are like minded who can help you prepare now and be there for you after any emergency. It doesn't have to be a major catastrophe either. Even what's considered a minor emergency can be mitigated by...who you know. Highlights: How to begin connecting with preparedness minded people. Where to hold meetings. What to discuss in those meetings. A quick review of the basics of preparations. How to delegate tasks and skills to be performed after an emergency. What types of people should you get to know? Where to find them? Neighborhood preparedness programs. How to set up a safeground. Please join our like minded group on our internet Forum and don't forget to support my show by ordering your Today's Survival Show CD or digital download today.  Click here for more info.   Available Dec 15, 2010.
