Winter Safety & Self Reliant Living Made Real, Part 2 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:29:00

Presented in Part-1 of Winter Safety Made Real was the footing for this whole WSMR series: the purpose and approach to winter safety, along with “Why Winter Experiences Fail”, “The Taboos of Cold Weather”, “The Wives’ Tales of Winter”, and An Introduction to PALS™. Part-2 presents the key points and performance possibilities using PALS™ (Phillips Arctic Living System™) and why Jim does what he does and the benefit it can bring others. One of the most important parts in this presentation will be the in depth explanation of the body’s physiological response to the cold and the key steps to keeping hands and feet warm.  Possessing this understanding alone can dramatically change a person’s comfort and safety in the cold. Jim Phillips is a nationally known speaker and teacher who has professionally taught thousands of classes all across the United States for 40 years.  For a number of years prior to this career, his hobby was teaching cold weather safety & survival.Jim is a strong advocate of self-reliance living and family preparedness.  He developed an entire preparedness curriculum by asking himself the question "What if?" and then setting out to discover what actually does and does not work.  The answers he seeks (and then teaches) must be based on true principles derived from first hand experience.  Above all else, attitude and practical knowledge is more critical to survival than having a bunch of "stuff."  Winter Safety & Self Reliant Living Made Real | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:29:00

One of Jim’s professional specialties since 1984 has been cold weather safety and survival.  This over the air radio series will draw upon material from formal classes he’s been teaching since 1984 when he authored the course “Without Fire Or Shelter™” (WOFOS).  After a couple of years he was in demand by industrial clients to teach winter safety to their workers, and for them he tailored the class “Winter Safety Made Real™” (WSMR). In 1992 Jim began taking his industrial clients into the field to give them real-world hands-on experience in severe conditions. Jim significantly revised, expanded and updated the WOFOS class in 1999 and renamed it “Winter Without Worries™” Jim Phillips is a nationally known speaker and teacher who has professionally taught thousands of classes all across the United States for 40 years.  For a number of years prior to this career, his hobby was teaching cold weather safety & survival.  Jim is a strong advocate of self-reliance living and family preparedness.  He developed an entire preparedness curriculum by asking himself the question "What if?" and then setting out to discover what actually does and does not work.  The answers he seeks (and then teaches) must be based on true principles derived from first hand experience.  Above all else, he believes that attitude and practical knowledge is more critical to survival than having a bunch of "stuff."  The American Survivalist Philosophy with Live Free USA | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:12:00

Jim Jones discusses with Doctor Prepper the 3 major challenges that will demand preparedness during the coming decades: Economic Degeneration Climate Changes Resource Depletion. Jim defined 3 kinds of people during the chaotic changes coming to the US: predators , victims, and survivors; why there are changing paradigms of dependence and self-reliance; necessity for saving the youth; expecting continuing resistance and hostility to self-reliance; and why prepping alone is not enough for sustainability. He also described many of the Live Free USA current publications, meets and events, programs and chapter participation; and explained why some survive and others don't; how Live Free USA can help via its reputation, non-profit and tax deductible status.
