Transcript Robert A. Moss, Ph.D., ABN, ABPP, is a clinical psychologist who works with Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital in Greenville, SC. One aspect of treatment, Emotional Restructuring, is a single session approach to address influential relationship negative emotional memories. Bob is board certified in clinical psychology and neuropsychology and is a former associate professor in clinical psychology.  #364 – Exploring The Wild Feminine with Marilyn Steele PhD | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:04:18

Marilyn Steele, Ph.D., is a Jungian psychologist, author, speaker, artist, mother and grandmother. She grew up in Hawaii, a land of great beauty and native wisdom where life is deeply intertwined with nature and its rhythms. She still considers Hawaii, a place alive with the sacred feminine, her soul home. She visits as often as possible. The early loss of her baby sister, and later, the death of her younger brother, cultivated a deep compassion in her for suffering people and the mysteries of life and death. This drew her into a career in psychology. A stronger calling arose after the births of her children, several powerful visions, and a surprising passion for the emerging new science. When her four year old daughter complained in 1977 "I know all about history. What about Herstory?" Marilyn realized she was quite frustrated and annoyed at the then current models of the self which excluded women's experiences, perspectives, inclusive thinking and feeling and core spiritual values. She dedicated herself to exploring and describing the science and spirituality of the self, informed by the archetypal psychology of the dynamic, transformative Feminine. During her career as a Jungian psychologist Marilyn has spoken internationally, taught at numerous graduate schools, provided continuing education seminars on the topics of female psychology, the evolution of consciousness, and a re-visioning of the self. Dr. Steele is dedicated to helping women access their wild feminine power and returning feminine power, creativity and wisdom to the world. She lives in Northern California.

#359 – Addiction In The Realm of Hungry Ghosts with Gabor Mate | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:06:30

Transcript Gabor Maté M.D. is a physician and bestselling author whose books have been published in nearly twenty languages worldwide. Dr. Maté is highly sought after for his expertise on a range of topics, from addiction and attention deficit disorder (ADD) to mind-body wellness, adolescent mental health, and parenting. A renowned thinker and public speaker, he addresses audiences all over North America, including professional and academic groups like nurses’ organizations, psychiatry departments, and corporate conventions, as well as presentations and seminars for local community groups and the general public. As a writer and speaker, he is widely known for the power, insight, clarity, candor, compassion, humor, and warmth of his presentations. Common to all of Dr. Maté’s work is a focus on understanding the broader context in which human disease and disorders arise, from cancer to autoimmune conditions like MS, rheumatoid arthritis, ulcerative colitis, or fibromyalgia; childhood behavioral disorders like ADD, oppositionality, or bullying; or addiction, from substance abuse to obsessive gambling, shopping, or even workaholism. Rather than offering facile, quick-fix solutions to these complex issues, Dr. Maté weaves together scientific research, case histories, and his own insights and experience to present a broad perspective that enlightens and empowers people to promote their own healing and that of those around them. His approach is holistic and kaleidoscopic – linking everything from neurophysiology, immunology, and developmental psychology to economic and social policy – and even touches on the spiritual dimensions of disease and healing. His books, all Canadian best-sellers, include: Scattered Minds: A New Look at the Origins and Healing of Attention Deficit Disorder(1999) When the Body Says No: The Cost of Hidden Stress (2004) Hold On to Your Kids: Why Parents Need to Matter More Than Peers (2005), co-written with Gordon Neufeld, Ph.D In The Realm of Hungry Ghosts: Close Encounters With Addiction (2009).
