Primal therapy is a trauma-based psychotherapy stating that neurosis is caused by the repressed pain of childhood trauma. These repressed feelings can cause tension which frequently brings on depression and anxiety. It can be resolved only by re-experiencing these feelings that has been blocked away from consciousness for so long.

He is a Professor of Epidemiology, Nutrition and Medicine and the Chair of the Department of Nutrition at Harvard University.  He has published over 1,000 scientific articles regarding various aspects of diet and disease and is the second most cited author in clinical medicine. In the public eye, Dr. Willett is perhaps best known for his 2001 book Eat, Drink and Be Healthy.
