It is Spain’s Hispanic Day or Fiesta Nacional de España or Día de la Hispanidad commemorating the exact date when Christopher Columbus first set foot in the Americas in 1492. According to the Julian calendar, Christopher Columbus set sail from the port of Palos de la Frontera in South-West Spain on August 3, 1492. He landed on an island that is now part of the Bahamas in the Caribbean on October 12, 1492. The anniversary of this date is marked as Hispanic Day in Spain. As Spaniards gear up for a repeat national election following months of parliamentary stalemate, political parties are redesigning their campaign strategies – some very noticeably so. Ciudadanos (Citizens), which started out as a liberal reform party but veered to the right ahead of the April 28 election, is now back where it was seven months ago.  How Pointless is the Climate Change Protest? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1620

Knife crime is at it's highest .level in this country especially in London which isn't helped by a mayor with a peanut for a brain....so you would think it's hardly the place to have a pointless march by moronic climate changers who block the main roads requiring the police to waste valuable time sorting them out......the stupid march won't make the slightest difference.. Prince Harry has caused a bit of a stir by announcing he is taking the press to court.....he feels him and Meghan have been badly treated by the press and he intends to sort them out..... ..but one thing I noticed...apart from being somewhat expensive EVERY price ended in 99p.....we had £6.99 up to,wait for it.....£1499.99....which is absolutely ridiculous....this activity seems to be very popular with traders these days because they think the public will believe things are a lot cheaper than they are ...they must think we are all stupid... I was delighted to see local girl Katarina Johnson Thompson get her much deserved gold medal at the world athletics championships... ..I came up with "Googi The Liverpool Duck"....4 years later she recorded the song and it took off with a lot of radio play and TV coverage (she appeared on The Palladium)....it was then featured in a film called "Priest" written by Jimmy McGovern where it was sung by a church choir..

Workers with disabilities are putting in long days for low pay as part of the staff in the Spanish Royal Palace in Madrid, which receives more than 1.5 million visitors a year. These attendants, who help ensure the safety of visitors and objects inside the palace, are clocking more hours than are set out by their contracts. Some individuals have worked for 243 hours in a single month, as reflected by their punch cards.  I'd Like to Strangle my Boss | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1594

There was an interesting item on the morning news regarding gun crime in the U.S.A.....they had an ex policeman talking about how he runs courses teaching young kids how to protect themselves should someone come into the school and start shooting at everybody....apparently the teacher grabs the shooters arm and throws him to the ground and all the kids jump on him.. Boris is still hanging on in there trying to sort the country out despite being accused of touching a woman's knee 20 years ago....if this was part of a novel you would never believe it....what the hell this pathetic allegation has to do with politics is beyond me... There was a scientist on YouTube who went back thousands of years and has proved that every 173 years the Earth goes from a warm spell to a cold spell and vice versa....and this is the end of a 173 year warm spell so we are in for a cold run for the next 173 years....it was very interesting and makes a mockery of the climate change brigade and our wonderful brainwashed youth who blame the older generation for ruining the planet.....conveniently forgetting the mess they leave behind at the open air concerts they attend. .....now did you know how Wetherspoons got it's name?...well the millionaire who owns it (Tim Martin) was told by a teacher that he would never amount to anything and wrote him off....the teachers name was Wetherspoon....don't you just love it....how's that for a two finger salute? The song this week has an interesting story behind it....it is called "Strangle My Boss".....which I originally wrote in the 70s and through s friend I met Leapy Lee.

The collapse of Thomas Cook has left a huge whole in the Spanish tourism industry. The British travel group, which ceased activity on Monday after failing to secure funding, is one of the largest sources of tourists to Spain, bringing around 3.6 million passengers to the country every year. Spanish companies, especially in the Canary and Balearic Islands, where Thomas Cook brought in an annual 3.2 million visitors, fear the collapse could lead to millions of euros in losses.......... Spain is demanding reciprocity from the United Kingdom in one of the most sensitive aspects of Brexit: treatment of its migrants. .......  Shake Wrestle and Roll | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1626

Thomas Cook, the worlds oldest travel agent have hit the headlines with the announcement that they've gone bust....which has naturally caused panic amongst holiday makers who are either due to go abroad or who are already there and don't know how they will get back....a nasty situation indeed but it does show the true colours of some of the "friendly hosts"....in Turkey for example a hotel has locked holiday makers in until they get the money owed to them....you know...those wonderful caring friendly hotels who suddenly change when the spending stops....bit like those friendly witty car salesmen who are your best friend until you don't want the car they are trying to sell you....then suddenly there is a swift change of personality. Singer Sam Smith has got a major problem....he hasn't decided whether he is a man or a woman....so there you go...I would have thought a glimpse at his bits would answer the question....and this is the sort of thing 5 year olds are being taught in our schools which in my opinion is a disgrace....kids of that age are confused enough without adding this nonsense......they will find things out for themselves when they approach their teens....all this "gender" stuff is becoming tiresome to the majority of the population who are straight....if I dare say that.....personally I'm sick and tired of it all and find it all unnecessary.....just get on with it and give the rest of us a break. Some solicitor has suggested that eating meat should be a crime !!.....as it is destroying the planet.....this bloke is a SOLICITOR which says it all....apparently it's not just the eating of the meat it's fumes from the production and the travel during distribution.....apart from all this garbage it would be interesting to see how it would be policed....are brst bite of you beef burger........mind you they could get the local parking attendants to do it as it's the perfect job for morons and needs very little brains......this solicitor guy must have thought that this idea would make him famous....not realising it makes him look a complete twonk.....good luck to anyone who gets him in court. As always I watched Strictly Come Dancing at the weekend and as always I enjoyed it....and I feel the BBC have got a real winner here....which they need as the rest of the week is tripe.....it is a great spectacle and well put together....not to mention the delightful young female professionals which lets me know I am definitely not gender fluid......olympic rower James Cracknell proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that he can't dance so watching his progress is what the show is all about....which of course brings the dingbats out of the woodwork complaining about his efforts and getting quite nasty.....but we must remember these cloth heads have absolutely nothing going for them and putting a complaint on social media is their big moment because their peanut brains can't think of anything else. As a tribute to my wrestling buddy Adrian Street I thought I would send you the title track of the album I produced for him in the 80's and which was re-released in The States 2 years ago.....some things just won't go away.....the second album I produced for him is up for re-release so someone out there appreciates classical music.....so here it is "Shake Wrestle and Roll"obbies going to peer through your window and burst in as you are swallowing the fi

And he then faced cat-calls from a crowd including British ex-pats as he arrived for a meeting with Luxembourg counterpart Xavier Bettel. COMMENT.........Cosmos spaceball, Kent, United Kingdom..... This was a pathetic set up by Luxembourg to try and humiliate Boris Johnson. This was disrespectful and Boris was right to not go out and be shouted down by those protesters w ho strangely had microphones and speakers. A hero female police officer who tried to save a baby 'thrown to his death off a bridge'has been forced to delete her Twitter account after being bombarded with disgusting sexist messages. COMMENT...........gromit63, birmingham, Social media is a wonderful thing - occasionally, but most of the time it is a tool of destruction we have lost people, including wonderful young people drawn to suicide because to the dreadful treatment they have received. Panic buttons were fitted at a troubled Birmingham school due to fears for teachersafety - but were removed after they did not trigger a response. Mike A from Guernsey............ Obesity has raised its ugly head (and other parts) on the news....with "experts" pointing out that we are wrongly being told that fat ladies can be beautiful........oh sorry I forgot about human rights. Back in the 80's I wrote and produced 21 songs for wrestler Adrian Street........I'm not sure whether the world is ready for this but I knew it would come back to haunt me....this weeks song is from that album and it was one I wrote for him to enter the ring to....so here it is "Exotic Adrian"
