New TV on DVD includes the Hondo: The Complete Series (1967) based on the character created by Louis L'Amour and the John Wayne film, features the adventures of former cavalry scout Hondo Lane (Ralph Taeger) and his dog Sam (himself). Newsreaders: The Complete Second Season (2014-15) comes from the creative team behind the irreverent, Emmy-winning comedy Childrens Hospital. Musicals Back in Print on DVD include Romance on the High Seas (1948), It's a Great Feeling (1949), My Dream is Yours (1949), Summer Stock (1950), Young Man with a Horn (1950), Annie Get Your Gun (1950), Les Girls (1957) and Bells are Ringing (1960) - which is also newly available on Blu-ray. As a bonus we brought two John Waters cult classics back to DVD including Pink Flamingos (1972) and Desperate Living (1977)

Many people know Robert Morse as Bertram Cooper from Mad Men, but we know him for his long and storied film career including his starring role in Tony Richardson's The Loved One (1965). Robert talks in detail about the project as well as reflecting on his incredible career.

Vision Quest (1985) starring Matthew Modine and Linda Fiorentino gets the championship treatment it deserves with a fantastic new Blu-ray disc. New to DVD this week, the KidsWB series Static Shock: The Complete Second Season (2002) comes supercharged with fun. New to Widescreen DVD, Protocol (1984) stars Goldie Hawn as a D.C. cocktail waitress who accidentally saves an Arab dignitary from assassination and is thrust into the corridors of power. Stepping back into the light, Film Noir Collection Volume 5 comes back in print with eight indispensable Film Noir classics on 4 DVDs including Cornered (1945), Deadline at Dawn (1946), Desperate (1947), Armored Car Robbery (1950), Backfire (1950), Dial 1119 (1950), Phenix City Story (1955), and Crime in the Streets (1956)

New to Blu this week: John Frankenheimer's Cold War conspiracy classic Seven Days in May (1964) starring Kirk Douglas and Burt Lancaster, one of the maddest and blackest comedies the world has seldom seen with The Loved One (1965) starring Robert Morse, and Lawrence Kasdan's impeccable character drama The Accidental Tourist (1988) starring William Hurt, Kathleen Turner, and an award-winning performance by Geena Davis. New to DVD: The Wayans Bros.: The Complete Second Season (1995-96) stars Shawn and Marlon Wayans as brothers struggling to make ends meet in the big city. Finally we have three classics back in print on DVD including Humoresque (1946) starring Joan Crawford, and two films based off Tennesee Williams plays, Baby Doll (1956) with Karl Malden and Caroll Baker, and Sweet Bird of Youth (1962) with Paul Newman and Geraldine Paige.

New to Blu-ray: Perhaps the greatest tree-terror feature ever made, From Hell It Came (1957) and James Garner headlines the con comedy, The Wheeler Dealers (1963) with Lee Remick. New to DVD, Lee Horsley stars in the western TV series, Paradise: The Complete First Season (1988-89). Then, Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers are back in print on DVD with three classics: Roberta (1935), Carefree (1938), and The Story of Vernon and Irene Castle (1939).

Henry Fonda and Maureen O'Hara star in Delmer Daves adaption of Earl Hamner Jr.'s autobiographical novel Spencer's Mountain (1963) new to Blu-ray. Also on Blu, Henry Fonda and Glenn Ford star as a pair of loveable wastrels in The Rounders (1965). New to DVD, Monchhichis: The Complete Series (1983) features the adorable monkey-like creatures that make happiness! Then back in print on DVD we chat about three classics featuring the work of musical director Busby Berkely including Gold Diggers of 1937 (1936), Varsity Show (1937), Hollywood Hotel (1937) and Gold Diggers in Paris (1938).

Sam Peckinpah wowed the critics with Ride the High Country (1962) with Joel McCrea and Randolph Scott is now on Blu-ray. Also coming to the big blu (and reissued on DVD), 36 hours (1965) stars the delightful James Garner along with Eva Marie Saint and Rod Taylor - as a Nazi!. KidsWB comes to DVD with Xiaolin Showdown Season 3 (2005-6) - a fantastical adventure with the soul of a comedy. More DVDs Back in Print include the harrowing noir Born to Kill (1947), the internation crime story Border Incident (1949), and the disaster film Zero Hour (1957) which served as the template for the hit comedy, Airplane!

World Without End (1956), "CinemaScope's first Science-Fiction thriller," comes to Blu-ray looking better than ever. Next we discuss our latest KidsWB show to come to DVD, Static Shock: The Complete First Season (2000-01) based on the Milestone/DC Comics property. Then it's off to RKO studios to encounter a passle of Ladies, Women and Girls with Smart Woman (1931) starring Mary Astor, Ladies of the Jury (1932) starring Edna May Oliver, The Richest Girl in The World (1934) starring Miriam Hopkins and Fay Wray, Fight for Your Lady (1937) starring Jack Oakie and A Girl in Every Port (1952) starring Groucho Marx.

After wishing ourselves a Happy 8th Birthday, we tackle the latest releases on disc. First up, Batman Brave and the Bold Season 3 (2011) finally comes to Blu-ray looking bolder than ever. Next up, from the creative team behind the irreverent, award-winning comedy Childrens Hospital comes Newsreaders Season 1 (2013) on DVD - the series explores the vital issues that actually don't affect us every day. Take your front-row seats to the best variety show of rarities from the Jazz Age, as the vaunted and venerable Vitaphone sound shorts present a third DVD collection of vintage Vaudeville and more with Vitaphone Varieties Volume 3 (1928-29). The Girl and the General (1967) is a haunting Italian neorealist dramedy about an Italian private, Umberto Orsini, who captures an Austrian general, Rod Steiger. Then we wrap the podcast up with a Flashback discussion of the 2010 release of the must-see oddball classic, Gabriel Over the White House (1933) starring Walter Huston and Franchot Tone.

Two sci-fi classics come to Blu-Ray! It's cowboys versus dinosaurs as FX man extraordinaire Ray Harryhausen animates The Valley of Gwangi (1969). Julie Christie takes on the sentient (and lusty) computer in her basement in Demon Seed (1977). Warner Bros. Animation's The Zeta Project is a spin-off series based on the character Zeta from Batman Beyond. Season One (2001) is now back in print and we're proud to be releasing the long-awaited Season Two (2002) new to DVD. Finally we chat about two classics starring Lee Tracy that are new to DVD including Wanted! Jane Turner (1936) and Millionaires in Prison (1940).

This week we're releasing two new Blu-rays. First, we see Fred Astaire off in his last screen musical, FINIAN'S RAINBOW (1968) about an Irishman who steals a pot of gold from a leprechaun and then buries it in America. Then we chat about Blake Edwards' savage satire on all things Hollywood, S.O.B. (1981) staring his wife, Julie Andrews who plays an actress who has to bare it all. Then we turn to some second TV seasons new to DVD including JAMIE FOXX SHOW Season 2 (1997-98) and WHAT I LIKE ABOUT YOU Season 2 (2003-04) starring Amanda Bynes and Jennie Garth. Then to cap it off we anticipate the new FOX TV series Feud about the battle of wills between superstars Bette Davis and Joan Crawford during the making of the must-see-classic WHATEVER HAPPENED TO BABY JANE? (1962).

Hammer Film Productions' goes back in time to the poetically accurate era when the moon was forming while sauropods and cavemen battled to the death in When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth (1970) - and now presented on Blu-ray with a new 2017 master in high dino definition featuring the "spicy" International Cut. Next we celebrate the storied career of Joan Crawford by bringing some of her seminal cinema Back in Print to DVD including Dancing Lady (1933), Sade McKee (1934), Strange Cargo (1940), A Woman's Face (1941), Flamingo Road (1949) and Torch Song (1953).

Cinema provocateur Ken Russell's The Boy Friend (1971) featuring Twiggy and Tommy Tune comes to Blu-Ray looking incredibly sharp and fresh and sounding even better thanks for a new 5.1 DTS soundtrack. Then we chat about four MGM Dream Factory classics new To DVD including A Lady's Morals (1930) with soprano Grace Moore, the killer comedy Whistling in the Dark (1933) with Ernest Truex and Una Merkel, the divorce drama Woman Against Woman (1938) with Mary Astor, and Challenge to Lassie (1949) starring the beloved dog in Edinburgh's beloved 19th century true Terrier tale, "Greyfriars Bobby."

Sydney Pollack's ground-breaking cinema blend, The Yakuza (1974) starring Robert Mitchum, arrives on a newly remastered 1080p HD Blu-ray with all honor restored. And now, here they are - back in print on DVD - Wacky Races:The Complete Series (1968-70) featuring Hanna-Barbera's most daredevil group of daffy drivers to ever whirl their wheels. Also Back in Print on DVD we chat about Camille (1936) starring Greta Garbo at her finest, two entries from The Thin Man series, The Thin Man Goes Home (1945) and Song of the Thin Man (1947) starring William Powell and Myrna Loy, and finally The Star (1952) featuring Bette Davis as an aging movie queen.

New to Blu-ray, Billy Wilder's May-December romance, Love in the Afternoon (1957) starring Audrey Hepburn, Gary Cooper and Maurice Chevalier. Then we tackle 5 Back In Print DVDs including Flying Down To Rio (1933) with Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire's first pairing, Marked Woman (1937) starring Bette Davis, East Side, West Side (1949) with Barbara Stanwyck and Ava Gardner, The West Point Story (1950) starring James Cagney and Doris Day, and finally Fred Astaire and Cyd Charisse star in Silk Stockings (1957) - which is also available on Blu-ray.
