Haunting a generation of children with its creepy tiny demons, we descend into the shadows of the Made-for-TV-Movie horror classic Don't Be Afraid of the Dark (1973) with special guest, author Amanda Reyes (Made for TV Mayhem) who also provides a commentary track on the new Blu-ray. How did this tight, effective film come about, and why has it continued to find new audiences?

Back on Blu-ray we chat about the TV-show-inspiring Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? (1962) starring Joan Crawford and Bette Davis, the timeless classic A Streetcar Named Desire (1951) starring Marlon Brando and Pure Country (1992) starring George Strait. Also back In print on DVD: What I Like About You: Season One (2002), The Man in the Wilderness (1971), The Deadly Trackers (1973), Cleopatra Jones (1973), Viva Knievel! New to Blu-ray this week, we discuss the immortal Footlight Parade (1933) with Jimmy Cagney and Joan Blondell as well as Bronco Billy (1980) starring Clint Eastwood and Sondra Locke. New to DVD we have Best of Pete Smith Specialties Vol. 1 (1936-1948), Lippy The Lion and Hardy Har Har: Complete Series (1962) from Hanna-Barbera as well as The Practice: The Complete Series (1976-1977) starring Danny Thomas. Back on DVD releases include Eight is Enough: Season One (1977) as well as Anna Christie (1930), Mata Hari (1931), Queen Christina (1933) and Anna Karenina (1935) all starring Greta Garbo.

Gaslight (1944), Popeye The Sailor: The 1940'S Volume 2 (1946-47) and Corvette Summer (1978) come to Blu-ray. Hanna-Barbera's primetime series Jonny Quest: The Complete Original Series (1964-65) comes to Blu-ray uncut, uncensored and looking better than ever on Blu-ray. Also on Blu, Frank Sinatra makes his directorial debut with None but the Brave (1965) starring Clint Walker, Tatsuya Mihashi along with Sinatra himself in this crisp WWII multi-faceted story. New to DVD, Jack Palance stars as Bronk: The Complete Series (1962-64) in addition to the 30's rarities The Roadhouse Murder (1932), Made on Broadway (1933) and Married Before Breakfast (1937). The musicals The Pajama Game (1957) and Damn Yankees (1958), both starring Doris Day are back in print as well as Mary of Scotland (1936), Knute Rockne, All-American (1940), Keeper of the Flame (1942), Yankee Doodle Dandy: Special Edition (1942) and The Wrong Man (1956).
