New to DVD comes the fourth and final season of DC's Static Shock (2004) as Static finally becomes the A-list hero he dreamed of - but at what cost? New classics from Samuel Goldwyn studios come to DVD including Condemned (1929) and The Devil to Pay (1930) starring Ronald Colman, as well as Woman Chases Man (1937), a screwball comedy re-teaming Miriam Hopkins and Joel McCrea. Finally we chat about one of the most popular musicals of all time, Meet Me in St. Louis (1944), back in print on Blu-ray with new vintage poster art.

New to Blu-ray this week, Gene Kelly stars in the widescreen Rashamon-style musical Les Girls (1957). New TV on DVD includes the longPerfect Strangers Season 3 (1987-88) starring Bronson Pinchot. Then we rocket through more discussion about The Mighty Orbots (1984) before moving on to Early Talkie and Pre-Code films new to DVD. Lights of New York (1928) is the very first all-talking feature film! The Ship from Shanghai (1930) delivers thrills while A Notorious Affair (1930) and Manhattan Parade (1932) round out the broadcast.

Rob Paulsen and Tim Curry lend their voices to the first season of The Mask: The Animated Series (1995) new to DVD! Also new to disc this week, Alexander Hamilton (1931) starring Mr. George Arliss, A Lost Lady (1934) with Barbara Stanwyck, Shining Victory (1941) and The Prime Minister (1941) with John Gielgud. Then we discuss some amazing classics that are finally back in print on DVD including Bette Davis in Jezebel (1938), James Cagney in Torrid Zone (1940), then The Bride Camer C.O.D. (1941) with both Cagney and Davis, as well as Joan Crawford in The Damned Don't Cry (1950). We wind up the show talking about Tex Avery's Droopy (1943-58) featuring all 24 of the theatrical Droopy cartoons in a 2 disc set.

Then we take off with the legendary purveyors of kid vid classics Arthur Rankin, Jr. and Jules Bass as they swung for the heavens with a decidedly A-list all-ages animated fantasy fest culled from two superior literary sources The Flight of Dragons (1982) on Blu-ray. Teen Titans Season 1 (2003) Blu-ray shows off where the world of DC animation took a left turn at anime town and came up with this classic inspired by Wolfman and Perez's legendary New Teen Titans run of comics and the wild world of Japanimation under the genius aegis of creator Glen Murakami. Then we discuss the new release of Trial and Error Season 1 on DVD- a faux non-fiction 'true' crime sit-dramedy from creators Jeff Astrof (The New Adventures of Old Christine) and Matt Miller (Forever). The Super (1991) starring Joe Pesci and Judgement Night (1993) starring Emilio Estevez and Cuba Gooding, Jr. may have been out before, but are making their WB DVD debuts. Richard Linklater's subUrbia (1996) makes it's DVD debut featuring a screenplay by Eric Bogosian and starring Parker Posey, Steve Zahn and Giovanni Ribisi. Rosalind Russell delivers a career-high performance as the quintessential Bohemian bon vivant in Auntie Mame (1958), new to Blu-ray with a beautiful new master. New to DVD, Alice: The Complete Sixth Season (1981-82) sees the staff of this classic sitcom settling in for a steady service of hopes, dreams, chili and grits-kissing. We round off the releases with two classic Hanna-Barbera animated series back on DVD, Space Ghost and Dino Boy (1966) and Birdman and The Galaxy Trio (1967). Based on the searing Stephen King best-seller, Dolores Clairborne (1995) starring Kathy Bates and Jennifer Jason Leigh comes to Blu-ray along with the comedy Doc Hollywood (1991) starring Michael J. Fox. Also on Blu-ray, we head back to Star's Hollow ten years later in the four part special sequel series, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life (2016) written, directed and executive produced by series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and starring Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel. Heading back to the 90s,Living Single Season 3 (1995-96) starring Queen Latifah comes to DVD. Then we chat about two double feature DVDs which feature a 1930s original and its 50s remake including Strictly Dishonorable (1930 and 1951) and Kind Lady (1935 and 1951). We have two westerns new to DVD including Renegades of the West (1932) starring Tom Keene and The Kid From Texas (1939) with Dennis O'Keefe. Finally, we have several DVDs coming back into print including The Old Maid (1939) and The Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex (1939) starring Bette Davis as well as Starlift (1951), April in Paris (1952) and Tunnel of Love (1958) starring Doris Day.

New to Blu-ray, a true sleeper hit, Robert Mulligan's tender coming-of-age during wartime classic, Summer of '42 (1971) starring Jennifer O'Neill, took the studio by surprise while stealing the hearts of a Vietnam War weary nation. Raoul Walsh's Battle Cry (1955) follows the triumphs and tragedies endured by a group of Marines cutting through hearts on their way to Pacific looks amazing in HD. The Wayans Bros. Season 3 (1997-98) is new to DVD along with a whole bunch of classic films back in print including Beast from 20,000 Fathoms (1953), Parrish (1961), Susan Slade (1961), Rome Adventure (1962), Palm Springs Weekend (1964) as well as a group of MGM Musicals including Lady Be Good (1941), Nancy Goes to Rio (1950), and Two Weeks with Love (1950).

Screen icon Alan Ladd produces and stars in Hell on Frisco Bay (1955). This crime spectacle, shot on location in noir central - San Francisco appears for the first time on both Blu-ray and DVD. Director Jerry Schatzberg's masterclass in empathetic acting from two very different, but equally dynamic, acting titans, Scarecrow (1973) starring Gene Hackman and Al Pacino, comes to Blu-ray. Rachel Ward makes her "scream" debut in the early eighties slasher, Night School (1981). Directed by Ken Hughes (Casino Royale and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang) comes to Blu-ray red with blood. On DVD, The Jamie Foxx Show: The Complete Fourth Season (1999-2000) sees the young staff of The King's Towers enter into a new maturity while its proprietors begin to make plans to step aside. This week we have two triple feature DVD Collections featuring classic WB character actors. Glenda Farrell Triple Feature includes the films, The Law in her Hands (1936), Here Comes Carter (1936) and Dance Charlie Dance (1937) while the Guy Kibbee Triple Feature includes Mary Jane's Pa (1935), Going Highbrow (1935) and The Big Noise (1936).

The darkly comedic TV musical sensation Crazy Ex-Girlfriend back with Season 2 (2016-17) on DVD with DVD Exclusive Commentaries by Co-creators Aline Brosh McKenna and Rachel Bloom. Then we jump back to the early 30s with Pre-Code Classics new to DVD including Wide Open (1930) with comic relief titan Edward Everett Horton, Washington Masquerade (1932) starring Lionel Barrymore as a corrupted politician, the ever-timely business drama and Busby Berkely's co-directing debut She Had to Say Yes (1933) starring Loretta Young , and Stage Mother (1933) starring the one-of-a-kind stage, silent and sound star Alice Brady. Ruby Keeler, Joan Blondell and Aline McMahon star as three suddenly out of work Broadway Chorus girl in the timeless musical Gold Diggers of 1933 (1933) featuring Busby Berkeley's peerless production numbers and is now back in print on DVD.
