Who Wants Four Times the Sales? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 8:32

(http://noblesamurai.com/common/img/ads/ScarcitySamurai/125x125_Guarantee.jpg)Today's tool is a tool I purchased call Scarcity Samurai. It's way cool. It's way easy. It's way powerful. Powerful Countdown Timer for Wordpress You can set up a campaign for that will be a one time event, or maybe its a reoccurring event. Either way Scarcity Samurai can handle it. You have multiple options regarding what to do when the timer runs out of time. You cna have it do nothing, or redirect to a new page. You can customize the banner to match your website, and choose if it show up at the top or bottom of the page. Powerful Campaign Boosting Tool If you have an email program like Aweber where you have a squeeze page, Scarcity Samurai can be involved and keep track of how long your new email reader has been signed up and send them to a special order page with scarcity built into it. The whole time Scarcity Samurai keeps the clock ticking. What Scarcity Samurai Works 1. As Humans we have to miss out on a good deal. 2. The timer element ties into our emotional state. We see the logic of a good deal, and the feel the emotion of potentially missing out. Statistics show that 40% of ebay sales end in a sale. Why? Scarcity and a deadline. Think about most ebay sales. They have almost no copywriting, and many of them horrible pictures, and yet they result in a sales When they ran some tests offering special pricing on Marketing Samurai, they found that 60% of the sales came on the last day. When the compared the sales to an exact same campaign without scarcity, the sales WITH scarcity out performed the same product with the same pricing by a scale of 4.5 to 1. Best of all there are no monthly fees and you can use it on multiple sites. Currently it is selling for $97 Check it out at scarcitysamurai.com (http://weeklywebtools.com/scarcity)

Brain Shark – Death By PowerPoint Comes to the Web | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 16:17

(http://weeklywebtools.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/brainshark_qrcode.jpg)Today I'm playing with Brain Shark a free tool that allows you to take your PowerPoint slides and put them on the internet. You can add audio via phone or use a microphone (I used an Audio Technica 2100 (http://www.schoolofpodcasitng.com/2100)which is only $37 and plugs in via USB or with a mixer). This tool then allows you to see how far people made it through your video. You can add links to websites, social media, or have downloadable files in your presentation as well. Best of all it's free. If you want to publish your PowerPoint to youtube, this is a free way to do it. Want to promote your presentation, it even generates a QR code for you.   Check it out at brainshark.com (http://weeklywebtools.com/brainshark) Here is My Brain Shark presentation

Launch Rock Free Landing Pages – Lead Player Update | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 16:17

(http://weeklywebtools.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/launchrock150newlogo.jpg)Today we look at a tool called Launch Rock that allows you to set up a FREE landing page. Then when people enter their email address to get updates when a product launches, they are taken to a second page where they can share your page. It tracks who is emailing, tweeting, liking, etc. You can even put in what they tweet. Launch Rock tracks who is doing what so you can reward these people. After all these may be people who end up promoting your site (future affiliate program members?). I wasn't sold on the idea yet. I understand its free, but who gets the email addresses? You do. You can export the list and import it into your system (Aweber, Mailchimp, etc). I get the idea that all of this is free. Here is a video is an interview with the boys at launchrock where he shows off the interface a bit. Update on Lead Player I purchased Lead Player. One of the things I didn't realize it did was you can set a default call out (and then position where it goes (beginning, middle, or end). Then what is great is any video that is using the default will show the default. If you have a webinar at 3, you can change the default message for a day and when people watch videos on your site that day they will see the new default message. You will see Lead player in the video above. I have it prompt you to join the mailing list, and at the end it prompts you to review Weekly Web Tools in iTunes. Lead player (http://www.weeklywebtools.com/leadplayer) is only $147.

WP Central Hub – And You Can Lead a Class Online at Udemy – Continuity Summit | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 10:02

(http://weeklywebtools.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/wpcentralhub-215x300.jpg)WP Central Hub Manage Multiple Sites With No Monthly Fees We've spoken in the past about Manage WP, and CMS Commander, now there is a plugin (with no monthly fee) that you can install. It's not quite as powerful as the previously mentioned sites (no backup management, cloning, etc). but if you are looking to manage posts, pages, and plugins from a single login, then WP Central Hub (http://www.weeklywebtools.com/wpcentralhub) is for you. This plugin allows you to add pages, posts, plugins, and themes from one location. You don't have to remember all those passwords and login locations, you can do it all from one location. This video show you how easy it is. Profit From Your Expertise with Udemy (http://weeklywebtools.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/udemy.jpg)This site pays for all the hosting and streaming fees, provides tools for managing your content, and they boast 500,000 students with 1,000,000 visitors per month. All you need to do is create a course to show off your expertise. The class needs to be a minimum of an hour long with 60% of the course being video (you can create handouts, etc and deliver those as well). The site has forums, and other resource to help facilitate learning. I looked at it about six months ago and they seem to have improved since then (it was a little clunky now, but now things seem to have a bit more polish). What does it cost? It's free. If you charge for your class they take 30% with most classes ranging from $29 - $99. I've got a ton of material, so I'm going to put it up on the site and see how it does.   Here is a video that show you just how easy it is to create a course. (http://weeklywebtools.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/continuitysummit.jpg)If you are into running a membership site, this is a great conference that you attend online. It's called the Continuity Summit (http://www.weeklywebtools.com/csummit). It's got a TON of expert sharing information about running a membership site.  The cool thing is you get to pick how much you pay (from $59 - $129). No matter what you pay, you get the whole summit. 50% of what you spend go towards building schools in Kenya. Here are some of the topics: How to avoid cancellations - Stu McClaren from Wishlist Tim Kerber from Membergate share how to get members How to get your first 100 members - Chris Farrell Paul Evans on making it with a niche (his is youth ministries). Jason Fladlien on evergreen topics John Sanpietro on dominating the niche. Sean Malarky on the magic on $1 trials There are others as well.  Knowing Where Every Customer Comes From & SurveyGizmo | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 19:42

(http://www.shareasale.com/image/31212/small-3.png) Survey Gizmo Takes Your Surveys to the Next Level We talked about surveys in the past. We've mentioned Survey Monkey and the wordpress plugin called "Surveys." Today I found a great tool if you're really looking to take customer service to a new level. If you are looking to create a dynamic survey that branches out to additional questions based on previous answers, this is the tool for you. The feature list on their website is amazing. It just goes on and on (http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?u=74276&b=308683&m=31212&afftrack=&urllink=www%2Esurveygizmo%2Ecom%2Fsurvey%2Dsoftware%2Dfeatures%2F). The one thing I really like is you don't have to send people to their website. They stay on your website, and the survey is completely customizable. You can even edit at the CSS level if needed. Using this tool you can create customer surveys, employee reviews, student quizzes and more. You can even have responders upload files. You can use it for registration and then automatically send follow up emails. You can easily use it as a contact form, and add people to your mailing list. There is a 14 day free trial if you'd like to try it out before you buy it. There is no long term contract needed, and if you just need it for a month the price is $75. If you are going to be doing on going surveys, it make more sense to purchase the annual account for $810/yr ($68 a month). For more information go to surveygizmo.com (http://www.weeklywebtools.com/surveygizmo) Track Your ROI with Improvely (http://www.shareasale.com/image/46217/gray125.gif)As a business owner, entrepreneur, or small business person we all want to get the maximum bang for our buck and not spend money on things that result in a low return. You might have Google Adsense, Facebook Ads, and other tools to get the word out about your products and website. How do you know what is delivering the best traffic? How do you do this without spending all day jumping from one tool to the next. The system checks the number of visits, as well as the number of people and conversions. Improvely shows you where your revenue and conversions are coming from so that you can spend more time on marketing that works, and stop wasting money on the ads, keywords and landing pages that don't. It also helps you detect click fraud. Nobody wants to pay for clicks that are fraudulent. Whether it's excessive non-converting clicks from specific countries, or a competitor clicking your ads, Improvely can detect and notify you of suspicious activity immediately. Improvely works with any affiliate program that supports tracking pixels or subid parameters. That's 95% of the major affiliate networks and most affiliate program software. If your network doesn't let you place a tracking pixel, just upload an exported commission report to Improvely. The system also works with Google Analytics and any other tracking services you already have in place. Improvely will pick up existing tracking parameters in your tagged links (utm_*) and can optionally create new tracking links with these parameters as well. The tool is only if you get less than 10,000 visits per month, it's only $29 a month. That is a very affordable price and could help you avoid spending money in areas that are not returning any visitors or conversation. There is a free interactive demo (http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?u=74276&b=462846&m=46217&afftrack=&urllink=www%2Eimprovely%2Ecom%2Fdemo) that you can play with to see the types of stats you can get from the system. For more information go to improvely.com (http://weeklywebtools.com/improvely)

 Rhino Support and WP4FB Plugin | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 16:17

Rhino Support is from the same team who created Wishlist (http://weeklywebtools.com/wpwishlist)products. I love their commitment to customer service, and now they have a tool that changes the game when it comes to providing great customer service. It is designed to work fast, be very powerful, and be simple (much of the work you do in Rhino Support is a single click). I was very impressed with the system when you sign up for a 45 day free trial when you login you are taken by the hand and moved through the system. This was very cool, and completely squashed the learning curve. You can manage your website with UNLIMITED agents with NO additional fees. Other services tap into your budget by charging for each agent per month. This is not the case with Rhino Support. In addition to a great ticketing system (with all the typical features of a ticketing system), you also get a live chat system. You also get a floating support tab that puts your customer one click away from getting help. Why I'm Interested in Rhino Support For me I'm spending a little over $10 for my live chat system (I use Zopim (http://www.wweeklywebtools.com/zopim)). As their ticketing system includes a live chat, I can get both systems (live chat and ticketing system) for and additional $5. This had my attention and that's why I signed for the free 45 day trial. Facebook Tools From Within Wordpress I found an inexpensive too (http://weeklywebtools.com/wp4fb)l that helps you get more interaction on your Facebook page. You can get more likes, create sweepstakes, and encourage your current fans to find more fans for you. You can create custom wordpress tabs using built in templates that are completely customizable. Tools stop your fans from getting to content until they “like” your page. When it comes to sweepstakes YOU get to create the rules and make sure that your visitors have a winning experience.  CMS Commander Vs Manage WP | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 26:28

(http://cmscommander.com/banners/125x125.png) Manage Multiple Wordpress Sites and Generate Great Content with CMS Commander I checked out CMS Commander (http://weeklywebtools.com/cmscommander) that I heard mentioned onthe Wordpress Plugins A To Z podcast and went over to check it out. I recently talked about Manage WP (http://weeklywebtools.com/podcast/manage-multiple-wordpress-websites-in-seconds) on the podcast and this is somewhat similar, but it does have a unique slant. The biggest difference being this is form the people who create WP Robot. While both Manage WP (http://www.weeklywebtools.com/managewp) and CMS Commander have great tools to let you update your plugins and themes from one login. Both have tools to help you facilitate backups of your website, and both have stats that show your traffic from all of your sites in one location. CMS commander has an emphasis on helping you create content through legal channels. CMS Commander is slightly more expensive per website so it will depend on if you need help generating content for your website (after all the best SEO trick is great content). CMS Commander also works with drupal, joomla, and other CMS tools. Check it out at cmscommander.com (http://weeklywebtools.com/cmscommander) Pushbutton SEO Wordpress Plugin (http://weeklywebtools.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/push-button-seo-review-290x160.png)Pushbutton SEO is a wordpress plugin not only helps you find great keywords, it monitors what keywords people are laready using to find you (so you can utilize the Google Juice yo already have) and Unlike other plugins that simply check your post content, PushButton SEO analyzes the raw source code of your site just like the search spiders, giving you a TRUE measure of how well your SEO is working for you. It will find related videos, links, images, blog posts and more so you can create great content to keep people coming back to your site. When a page on your site is optimized, its ranking meter is green. When the meter is red, you need to give it optimization attention ASAP. It doesn’t get simpler than that, and you can see where to focus at a glance. For more information go to pushbuttonseo.com (http://weeklywebtools.com/pushbuttonseo) Check For Plugin Redundancy I found this on the Manage WP (http://www.weeklywebtools.com/managewp) Plugin blog. When it comes to reducing the size of yoru worpdress install it pays to remove plugins that you may not be using, it can be replaced. Their website states: "Let's start with the basics. There are two things that you should know about deactivated themes and plugins on your WordPress dashboard: They take up unnecessary space They represent a security risk (your site can still be breached via deactivated themes and plugins) That's two good reasons to get rid of deactivated themes and plugins. I would also recommend that you take a close look at your activated plugins and ask yourself whether you really need all of them. It could well be that the functionality present in two plugins is actually covered by one (for instance, WordPress SEO by Yoast includes XML sitemap functionality, therefore negating the need for a separate XML sitemap plugin), or that you have a bloated plugin whose resource intensiveness is not worth the added functionality. Use the Plugin Performance Profiler Plugin (https://managewp.com/plugin-performance-profiler) to single out the main offenders. Beyond mitigating the two issues above, removing plugins should also result in an increase in site speed, which is never a bad thing. Hit Tail Remarks After hear about some  of the things Pushbutton SEO does, I may be saying goodbye to Hit Tail. This is a great service that lets me know what keywords i could rank well for, but after using a few months, it seems its providing me with the same keywords each month. I can use their service to have an article generated, but I could probably use CMS Comander to do something similar.

Cemmerce – Increase the Profits on Your Website | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 20:16

In today's show we look at a tool to help you earn income from your website. I learned about it at the New Media Expo. It's called Cemmerce (http://weeklywebtools.com/cemmerce). Here is that their website has to say: "Cemmerce content monetization tools (http://weeklywebtools.com/cemmerce) offer the highest accuracy and relevant sales information available to content creators today. The free solution monetizes past, current and future content with no more than a few lines of added code and readers are able to easily purchase the products as they are reading about them. (http://weeklywebtools.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/cemmerce-300x200.jpg)The cool thing about cemmerce is that it looks at what you are writing about on your website, and dynamically puts a price comparison. This leads to more people clicking on their product. You can have it for one or for all of your sites under one control panel. You enter your paypal information to get paid. When it comes to earning, here is how the commission  is broken down. The commission percentage depends on three factors: 1. The product 2. The volume 3. The retailer While the average commission is around 4%, because of the volume Cemmerce generates we usually get a higher commission. Some products will get the content creator 4%, while others, (cosmetics for example) may pay content creators as much as 20%. Some retailers are a lot more generous than others, so commission for the same product will vary based on that as well. Cemmerce keeps 25% of the commission, and passes the other 75% on to the content creator. Our optimization algorithms are NOT optimized to highest commission payout, but to highest conversion. So retailers that convert better (probably due to better customer service, better return policy, etc.) will be ranked higher and get more exposure,. Why? Because even though they might pay a lower commission, more deals will close, and a larger dollar amount will be generated. For more information to to cemmerce.com (http://weeklywebtools.com/cemmerce) WP RSS Multi Importer If you're in the content aggregation business, this plugin could be a real boon for you. WP RSS Multi Importer gives a pretty hefty hint of its functionality in its name -- it allows you to import and consolidate multiple RSS feeds into a WordPress page (or you can repost them on your blog).Think of it as a home grown version of Yahoo Pipes. You can also take in all your RSS feeds and then export them as one feed.

Manage Multiple WordPress Websites in Seconds | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 23:18

(https://managewp.com/banners/affiliate/mwp_banner_10_260x260.jpg)Today we get to hear me interview James from Managewp.com which is a great website for anyone who is managing multiple Wordpress installations. This does more than just provide access to ALL of your Wordpress installtions, it can run security checks (to make sure you have no malware), it can schedule backups (to Amazon S3, Dropbox, etc), and allow you to clone a website. I can see developers who love have a standard theme, plugins, etc that they recommend to their clients loving the cloning feature. Now not only can you get wordpress the way you want it on a clients site, you can manage their site from ONE dhasboard. It also has great analytics (it told me what I was doing right, and pointed out what I was doing horrible at). It's completely secure, and James said its about 80 cents per website per month. When you sign up for your free account you will see instantly the time savings that a tool like Managewp can provide. In this episode I capture my first impressions. The only thing you need to do is to install a plugin (free) wallk managewp worker on your site and then login and add that site to your dashboard (which takes next to no time). Once you've added that website to your dashboard you can control it (as in add a post, update plugins, etc). Just when you think it can't get any cooler, how would like to manage all of your websites from your iPhone or iPad? There's a FREE app for that. Nice. It was super easy to use, and they have a video on their welcome screen when you login to your dhasboard that walks you through adding your sites (you can even add them in bulk). For those who like to read there is also a pdf manual. If you're interested in saving money you can sign up for months in advance but there are no contracts. You can upgrade/downgrade anytime (or cancel). Pretty cool stuff. For more information check out managewp.com (http://weeklywebtools.com/managewp)

GotoMeeting Alternative MeetingBurner and Great Video Training Using Your iPhone | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 13:09

(http://weeklywebtools.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/meetingburner.jpg)If you are on a small budget you may not be able to handle the fees associated with services like GoToWebinar (http://www.dpbolvw.net/click-2535497-10445511). You may also not need that many seats for your meetings. This is where Meeting Burner (http://weeklywebtools.com/meeting-burner) can come into play. I've used other free services and they tend to litter your meeting with a smattering of advertisements. This is to be expected as it's FREE. The cool thing about Meeting Burner is this free meeting service allows you to have up to 10 people in your meeting, with audio, with screen sharing, with registration (very cool) and NO ADS. The interface is very, VERY, easy to use and the other thing that makes them standout is you can have multiple profiles. This way instead of having to have different accounts for different businesses, you can have a different profile (with different logos) which can be a huge time saver. You can instantly change presenters in the meeting and the system sends out email reminders. Meeting Features You Get For A Bit More Cash If you've got a budget of $39.99 a month you can have 50 people in a meeting and you can now record and share your meeting (which you can't with the free version). For $99 a month you can have 1000 people, you can charge for meetings, and remind them with SMS messages. Overall Impression While I have not hosted a meeting yet, I can say that the interface is one of the most intuitive interfaces I've seen in the "meeting space." I also love the fact that they offer a "Test" button so you can see exactly what the meeting is going to have to look like. This avoids you having to set up a bogus meeting to test the system. For more information check out meetingburner.com Make Great Looking Videos with Your iPhone (http://weeklywebtools.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/180X15071.png)I just joined this website called iVideoHero (http://weeklywebtools.com/ivideohero) where a seasoned television producer shares his secrets to shooting great video using your iPhone Its amazing with some of the tools and apps you can create really cool looking videos, You can do cool stuff like time lapse, have special effects, and the best part they taken out the learning curve. Its straight forward, here is how you do it, here are the tools (if any) you need to pull off this cool effect. (http://weeklywebtools.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/iphonevideohero32-300x168.png) Former MTV and BBC TV Director Jules Watkins has created a video based course that will show you how to make awesome videos using your iPhone. Jules has directed hit TV shows including The Biggest Loser and Pimp My Ride and knows a thing or two about how to make videos that attract a following. The videos he has made on his iPhone for this training will stun you. I was amazed. The best part is its only a one time fee (and there are plenty of bonuses). If you are an entrepreneur, biz owner or just want to make better videos with your iPhone then you need to watch Jules’ video at iPhone Video Hero.  Unbounce Landing Page Tools – Web Based Screen Capture – Customer Service Tools | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 16:09

Today I talk about unbounce which some might view as an alternative to Opitmizepress or Premise from the people at copyblogger.com, but when you look at the price - there is no comparison form what I see (its way over priced). Plans start at $49 a month. Then they go to $99 a month. If you compare that to optimizepress ($97), or Premise $165) these one price - one time tools seem to be more attractive. Granted these tools are pieces of a wordpress puzzle 9and unbounce is not), but how hard is it to install a theme? Both Optimzepress and Premise have extensive video tutorials to help you get the most out of their system. I like the idea of Unbonce, but I think their price needs readjusted. Boosting Customer Service with Screenr Online Screen Capture Tool I discovered screenr and started a free trial. It's awesome. For those times when your client needs a thousand words to understand a concept (i.e. try explaining how RSS works in an email). This is a great tool. I plug in my mic, do a quick screencast, type in a description, and send them a link. There are other options such a private screencasts, analytics, etc. If you want, you can publish your screencast to youtube, and download your screencast as well. Pricing starts at $19 which gives you the ability to provide private casts. It's pretty cool. Boosting Customer Service With CoVideo I've talked about covideo in the past. Here is the email from a client of mine who got my "Hey Welcome to the School of Podcasting" video that I personally do for every new member. First I wanted to tell you something unique and exciting happened today!  I called out to my wife, "Honey! Come look at this."  Being the wonderful supporting friend she is she immediately dropped the baby and ran into the room. Of course I'm only kidding--she didn't run.  I clicked the play button and your video said hello and welcomed me to your School of Podcasting. Personally.  That was so cool :) I've been online since 1993 and I've joined a gazillion sites and programs about a gazillion things since that time. And you're the only person who sent me a personal recording (audio or video) in almost 20 years!  In fact it's so cool and shocking at the same time I'll never forget it and I'm going to do this with everyone who joins anything I ever do from now on.  And as I'm writing this I also realized something sad. This is the only time in almost 20 years online that anyone ever did something like that. Dave, you get it That email was sooo worth the $29 I spent

Get Your Prospect on the Phone While They Are Hot – WordPress Theme Editor | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 17:38

(http://www.lubith.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/014.jpg)I found a new tool if you're looking to create basic wordpress theme from Scratch. It's call Lubith, and you can create a basic Wordpress Theme from scratch without knowing a bit of code.  It has a super easy interface. You simply grab an object and click and drag on one handle to move, and another one to change the size. It's all drag and drop. Want to change a color? Select it and choose the options from a menu. Want more than one sidebar? Click a checkbox. Want the sidebar on the left hand side? Drag it in place. It's super easy. Best of all its free. If you want more robust features the price is only $14.95a month (and you could make you theme and quit). The pro version allows you to work on more than one theme. It also gives you more fonts, automatically generates a thumbnail, and provides extra page templates. If you're looking for a quick and painless (and cheaper) alternative to Artisteer this might be something to check out. Speak 2 Leads Help You Capitalize on Your Hot Prospects I found this tool and started clicking around. It looks pretty cool. You put a form on your website, and your visitor enters their information.
