Get More Consulting Clients With Clarity.fm | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 16:25

Clarity.fm is an interesting website where you can list yourself as an expert as well as find experts. The best thing is you can pay them by the minute. So if you need a quick answer this might be the tool for you. When I went over to check out the site you have to login via LikedIn, or facebook (not a fan of this, but oh well). It didn't take but a few minutes to setup my profile, list my expertise, and add a video to help promote my service. That was the good news. The bad news is video I listed (from youtube) doesn't display on their site. That's not very helpful. When I clicked on search to find an expert I got an error message (that was not really helpful). I did play some more and those seemed isolate incidents. The help page states they take a fee (but not how much - that's not very helpful). Then later if you dig into their terms you see that they charge a 15%. The key (for me to work) is if I get some clients I will be more than happy to give a 15% finders fee. After all I give a bigger cut for my affiliate program. Special thanks to Andrew from www.podcasthero.com (http://www.podcasthero.com) Builder Wordpress Theme from iTheme on Sale for 50% Off (http://ithemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/ithemes-ad1.jpg)You can use the coupon responsive50 to get 50% off until 10/31/2012 The theme starts at $80 for a single website or $197 for a developer's pack. This theme allows you to COMPLETELY control the layout of your wordpress website, and create styles for every single page. It's very cool, and yet there is almost no learning curve. They have great documentation, and I really liked the results I got. The best thing is now the theme creates responsive themes so your website looks good on an iPad, iPhone, or computer. It's very cool. Check it out at www.ithemes.com (http://www.schoolofpodcasting.com/builder) Special thanks to Jason Rivers who put me as one of his top podcasts to listen to http://joshuarivers.net/my-top-podcasts/ (http://joshuarivers.net/my-top-podcasts/)

New Artisteer – VCita Scheduling Software – Sell Digital Downloads with Free Plugin | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 18:43

Artisteer 4 Adds New Features Artisteer (http://www.weeklywebtools.com/artisteer)is a new tool that we've talked about before. You can use this tool to make custom Wordpress, Drupal, Joomla, themes without learning a new piece of code. It was cool before, and now they've added the following features: * HTML 5 and CSS3 support * Responsive web design allow you to make websites that look the same on any device (iPhone, iPad, computer, etc). * Google web fonts * Online access to Flickr images * Create custom sliders and advanced header editing * Texture masks * Advanced footer editing If you're looking to create a custom template for your website, this is a great tool. The only thing that I dislike about it, is its not a web based system if you want to edit your layout in the future. The Best Tungle.me Alternative I was looking for an alternative to tungle.me as it goes out of business. I thought bookingbug.com was the answer until I found out that they charge an additional $10 a month to make a widget on the site that doesn't look like a baby barfed on it. When I emailed about that to them, I go not response. When I went to cancel my account, bookingbug talked me into downgrading to a free account. Later when they charged my account, I emailed them and asked for a refund (Which they did quickly), but that was enough for me. I've been using timetrade.com except when I change me calendar, I have to go into each service and adjust my hours there. I have three services (15, 30, and 60 minute podcast consultations) and that got a bit annoying. It worked, and I like the way it publishes any events to my Google calendar (and vice versa), but I wanted to set my schedule, add some appointment types, and let people choose if they want one 15 minute increment, or 5. This was a bit of a hassle. I found Book Fres (http://www.bookfreish.com)h. This is a cool tool that works with Wordpress. It has a free account or the $20 account if you want more tools. This didn't include taking paypal payments so that was enough for me. Then I heard about vCita (http://www.weeklywebtools.com/vcita). This is a great tool that allows you to set your schedule, set your appointment types, and let your visitors choose. You can choose to charge, or not, or decide later (and their system will remind for payment). You can choose to provide your phone number or use the vCita bridge line. You can choose to meet on skype, or do a video call using their meeting room. All of this for less than 20 bucks (currently 30% off). The best thing I liked about this system, is I never had to go to their support page, or watch a video. It was all pretty self explanatory. The other cool bonus is when you add the widget to your website, it adds a tab at the bottom of the page. This can then be used for your visitors to leave a message, or schedule a meeting (if you charge for these it will take care of charging the client). They take 3% (and pay your paypal fees for you). You can copy your code and put your booking widget on multiple websites, or use the Wordpress plugin. Selling Digital Downloads With Robust Free Plugin I wrote about this in the newsletter earlier in the week you can read that here (http://weeklywebtools.com/news/easy-digital-downloads) and watch the video. Mentioned in This Podcast Internet Ad Revenues hit Record 17 billion (http://www.iab.net/about_the_iab/recent_press_releases/press_release_archive/press_release/pr-101112) Google Authorship Might become a ranking issue (http://www.free-seo-news.com/newsletter546.htm#facts) Support The Show Every day people lose valuable computer files because they don't have a backup, check out mypcbackup.com (http://www.weeklywebtools.com/mypcbackup)

Responsive, Drag and Drop WordPress Theme for $35 – Amazon Banners -Square Credit Card | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 15:23

Today I talk about using my new Square credit card swiper (http:///www.wweeklywebtools.com/squareup) (very cool) a great customizable, responsive wordpress theme for $35. We have two tools for affiliate marketers, and I say thanks to all of our fans on Stitcher. Please note this is not me on video. BannerZon You can stretch the length of your tracking cookie with bannerzon (http://weeklywebtools.com/bannerzon). I wrote about this in our newslette (http://weeklywebtools.com/news/bannerzon)r. Sneaky Affiliate This plugin was free for a few days (it's normally $37). This tool puts a pop up that places a cookie on your visitor's computer. Prime Time Responsive Drag and Drop Wordpress Theme I've been watching tutorials on Thesis, and it appears that you are going to need a fair amount of CSS knowledge to understand Thesis. Disappointed in either the theme or the training, I started looking for an easy to use drag and drop interface for a Wordpress theme, and it needed to be responsive. I found Prime Time (http://weeklywebtools.com/primetime) for $35 (http://weeklywebtools.com/primetime) from Mojo Themes (http://weeklywebtools.com/primetime). You can have a different sidebar for any page that you design. It's very flexible.  Click here (http://weeklywebtools.com/primetime) for more information Layout Builder - Part 1: Add New Layout (http://vimeo.com/32433942) from Jason Bobich (http://vimeo.com/themeblvd) on Vimeo (http://vimeo.com).  Wave Accounting – No More Manual Entry Accounting System | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 20:43

(http://www.ftjcfx.com/jc102o26v0zKNQOQPUSKMMMMMTPL)I want to thank Kyle of Artistsync.org (again) for sending in a great tool. I hesitate to talk about this tool as I've only been using it for a few days but I see how EASY this is going to make my life, and you can't beat the price - IT'S FREE. What is it? It's a free service that easily (and securely) ties into your bank accounts (and paypal accounts). Wave then goes out and retrieves your transactions and lists them in their system.  Very Cool – Very Affordable Video – Drag and Drop WordPress Design – Tungle.me Goes Away | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 16:18

(http://weeklywebtools.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/videoscribe250.png)We all know that videos boost sales. We can do the old Powerpoint with Camtasia (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008EQUD4U/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B008EQUD4U&linkCode=as2&tag=weeklwt-20)trick, but if you're looking to stand out in the crowd that is not going to do it. You want something that looks like you went outside of the box to make a video. When you look into having a custom video made, you quickly find that its beyond your budget. A video at http://www.explania.com can be around $5,000. Until now. Video Scribe (http://www.weeklywebtools.com/videoscribe) allows Unlimited Videos for $22 a Month ($15 if you purchase a year in advance) Now you can tell your story and show your products as a journey as a hand draws your service right in front of you. It's the ease of PowerPoint, only WAY COOL (www.weeklywebtools.com/videoscribe). All the tools you need to create your video are here. You can plug in a microphone (I recommend the ATR2100USB (http://www.schoolofpodcasting.com/2100) for $49) and record your voice over. Then position the images and text to align with the audio. You can even add built in royalty free music into the background to add that polish to your video. You even have the ability to adjust the volume levels of the music so it's not too loud. Yes, it's that cool. There is a PC and MAC version, and even an iPadd app. You can add your own images, or choose from a large collection of drawings. The company is based out of the UK (so us pricing is based on the conversion rate). Check Out This Three Minute Videoscribe Demo For more information go to videoscribe.tv (http://www.weeklywebtools.com/videoscribe) Elegant Themes Drag and Drop Plugin (http://weeklywebtools.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/elegant_themes.gif) Elegant themes (http://www.weeklywebtools.com/draganddrop)does more than themes. They also do plugins. I just discovered their elegant page builder plugin (http://www.elegantthemes.com/affiliates/idevaffiliate.php?id=4473&keyword=drag-and-drop&custom=20650). This reminds me of Builder from iThemes, and to a certain extent Thesis as it allows TOTAL customization.   You simply drag and drop modules into your design these include: * Buttons * Lists * Content and Image Sliders * Light Boxes * Cool Quotes * Testimonials * Paper callouts * Video * Boxes (shaded backgrounds). You can adjust the width of a module, and even specify that a column is 1/3 of a page (as an example). It's hard to explain besides say it looks pretty darn cool, and pretty darn easy. There is a video further down the page. The pricing of this is slightly different. You can't just purchase this plugin. You have to become an elegant themes member (a pricing strategy I'm not a huge fan of, but none the less it's still a good deal). It's $89 a year (http://www.elegantthemes.com/affiliates/idevaffiliate.php?id=4473&keyword=drag-and-drop&custom=20650) and you get access to EVERYTHING they do (plugins, themes). If you compare this to iThemes Builder Developer pack ($197) you are saving some cash. Elegant Builder Plugin Demo Video Tungle.me Proves Free is a Bad Business Model (http://www.bookingbug.com/images/ads/150_banner.gif)Tungle.me is going away, so if you were using the free service for having your clients schedule your time it's time to find a tungle.me alternative. I've spoken about this in the past. Bookingbug is a great tool that is VERY flexible for $14 a month (and you can charge for the consulting as people schedule your time - cool) For more information check out my post about tungle.me alternatives (http://weeklywebtools.com/podcast/tungle-me-alternatives)

Lead Player Vs Easy Video Player | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 22:35

(http://weeklywebtools.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/250-250.gif)When I first heard about Lead Player it was impressive that you could put a subscription form into your video. You could also put a "buy now" call to action button within your video. I was very tempted to purchase this player even though I already own Easy Video Player. I went over to the Easy Video Player website in addition to the Lead Player website to compare the two. I do not own Lead player and only comment on the demo videos I've watched. Easy Video and Lead Player Similarities Both of these players seem super easy to use. Both provide stats on your plays (Easy Video Player does not require a Google Analytics account). They both work with all the major email list management tools (Aweber, etc). They both can play videos from your website or stored locally on your website. Here are the differences: They both can embed forms and buy now buttons (Easy Video Player can embed any html code). Easy Video Player and Lead Player Pricing Differences Easy Video Player is $204 for full unbranded version Lead Player is $184 for full unbranded version(http://leadbrite-cdn.s3.amazonaws.com/LeadBrite%20Affiliate%20Program/Banners%20for%20LeadBrite%20Affiliate%20Program/PoweredbyLeadPlayerBanner-250x250-2.jpg) What Lead Player Does that Easy Video Player Does Not Lead Player allows you to upload video to youtube, and then play that video with the youtube branding removed. This gives you unlimited video hosting for free. What Easy Video Player Does That Lead Player Does Not Easy Video Player has some great tools for affiliates. If you have a product on clickbank, you can create a video for you affiliates. They enter their clickbank ID and click a button and their affiliate ID is put into the video. Easy Video Player allows you to redirect your visitors to a website at the end of the video (great for affiliate marketing). Summary These are both great, easy to use players. For me personally, I understand the attraction to using YouTube for free video hosting. I'm just not sure I believe Google likes that idea (and will let it go on indefinitely). If I was buying Lead Player for the free hosting idea, I'm not sure that's a nail you can hang you hat on forever. After seeing that I can embed any html using "elements" in Easy Video Player, I don't feel any buyers remorse when comparing it to Lead Player. For more information go to leadplayer.com (http://www.weeklywebtools.com/leadplayer) and easyvideoplayer.com (http://www.weeklywebtools.com/easyvideoplayer) Max Blog Press Bring My Visitors Back Plugin After installing this plugin I can say its super easy to install and configure. I can see where having the ability to insert ads into my RSS feed is an interesting idea. I will be tracking any ads or other call to action items to see how many clicks I get from my RSS feed. For more information go to bringmyblogvisitorsback.com (http://weeklywebtools.com/visitorsback) Google Drive Kyle from Artist Sync mentioned that while mypcbackup.com (http://weeklywebtools.com/mypcbackup) sounds great, Google recently converted Google Docs into Google Drive (http://drive.google.com/).

 Scribe 4 Demonstration – HitTail Examples – MYPCBackup Reflections | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 12:38

The boys at copyblogger have released a new version of their Scribe Wordpress plugin. This tool started out as a keyword research tool, and it has graduated with each version into so much more. Packages start as $17 a month. (http://weeklywebtools.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/scribe4.jpg) HitTail Examples I didn't realize this when I first spoke about HitTail in the podcast but it will find keywords that you could use to help you get more traffic, but you can now order a 400 word article for $19 and get it in a few days. Also on this podcast I mentioned that Im not backing up 78 Gigs of space using mypcbackup (http://www.weeklywebtools.com/mypcbackup)and it did that backup in INCREDIBLE speed.

Make Web Scraping Tools Your Friend – Gravity Forms – MyPcBackup has True Unlmited Files | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 15:20

Bring My Blog Visitors Back Plugin This plugin allows you to add things to your RSS feed, so if your feed gets scraped and put on another website you can still have items like: (http://bringmyblogvisitorsback.com/images/bmbvb-banner2-(250x250).png)Related Posts Your Social Media Links Display the Number of Comments Show a Custom header Section for Your Website Display Custom Foot Content You an display post tags, so the reader can click the tag back to your site Display the category name of your post the pricing is $97 for unlimited sites, and a new single user license just became available at $37. For more information check out bringmyblogvisitorsback.com (http://weeklywebtools.com/visitorsback) Advanced Forms With A Drag And Drop Interface (http://gravityforms.s3.amazonaws.com/banners/125x125_2.gif)I had heard about gravity forms (http://weeklywebtools.com/gravityforms) for a while, but never got what all the hoopla was about. Then a client of mine purchased it and I got to see just how easy it is to create great looking forms that blend in seamlessly with your website, and allow you to easily add fields with a drag and drop interface. You can accept guest posts, media files, and more without having to know a single line of code. With the more advanced version of the plugin you can tie it into auto responders like Mail Chimp and Aweber, as well as payment processors (so if you're looking to create your own order form - this will do it). You can then export the information and crunch your numbers in Excel if needed. Pricing starts at $39 at gravityforms.com (http://weeklywebtools.com/gravityforms)   My PC Backup Offers TRUE UNLIMITED Backup (http://affiliates.mypcbackup.com/img/banners/300_250/300x250-1.0.gif)I want to thank listen Scott Johnston of computertutorforida.com (http://computertutorforida.com) who turned me on to this system. I've talked about carbonite, mozy, backblaze as online backup solutions. I'm currently using backblaze, as they offer "Unlimited" storage (external hard drives etc), but they do limit that to certain types of files (so for me, I have large video files that may be too big to backup online). Here are some of the features: Sync multiple computers Automated backups - set it and forget it. Your files are secure You can share files with family and friends (much like a drop box) Access files from any computer or iOS device. Setup a sync folder to appear on all your computers and forms. There is even file versions (so if you mess up a file you can get the previous version from your backup) They have no restrictions on what type of files you can backup 24/7 support (cause when you need help with a restore or backup, you need it NOW). The only bad news is the application only works on a PC (not mac). Pricing for unlimited is around $5 and the worst case scenario (month to month) is just under $10 a month. To start your free 14 day trial go to mypcbackup.com (http://www.weeklywebtools.com/mypcbackup)

Directory Press – Zopim Update – HitTail finds Low Hanging Fruit | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 13:38

Directory Press Easy, Customizable, Directory Script for Wordpress Directorypress has come a long way since the last time I used this. It's a great tool that turns your Wordpress install into a directory. Your listings can be added for free by your community, or you can charge to people to add their listing, and you can charge for advertising on your site. If you want, you can make your Directory so that only members who have paid can see the listings. When you install the system it walks you through setting it up. There is even a built in FAQ section. You can see this in action at www.schoolofpodcasting.com/links and I'm working on our directory of web tools at http://weeklywebtools.com/links/ (http://weeklywebtools.com/links/) (not finished yet) Zopim Updates to HTML 5 Zopim (http://www.weeklywebtools.com/zopim)the free chat system I previous mentioned has gone through an upgrade so you can man the chat while on your iPad. The free version is for one operator, and the next paid plan is only $11 a month. HitTail Helps You Key On Keywords You May Have Overlooked (http://weeklywebtools.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/hittail-logo.jpg)HitTail helps you focus in on the most promising organic keywords in your existing traffic. HitTail shows you the most promising search terms you should target based on your existing traffic. The fun thing is they do this in real-time. They perform the analysis using a sophisticated algorithm tuned by analyzing over 1.2 billion keywords. HitTail provides you with a simple, actionable list of precisely which keywords you should be targeting to dramatically grow your organic search traffic. You can export this list if you'd like to analyze it in another tool. It basically find keywords that if you design a blog post for (for humans, not robots) you have a good shot of getting on the front page of Google. With this in mind, this tool could easily pay for itself each month. The best part is there is a free 30 day trial, and plans start at $9.99 month and there is no long term contract needed. Check it out at www.weeklywebtools.com/hittail (http://www.weeklywebtools.com/hittail)

See and HEAR what your visitors think, Find Out When To Tweet | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 10:25

I've talked about tools that will create videos of your visitors as they visit your site. The WP Clicks plugin is a great plugin, and there are no monthly fees. The only issue is you only get to watch what the visitor is doing. You have to guess what they are thinking. I found and used usertesting.com (http://www.usertesting.com) this is a great service where you order your review, and select the type of person you are looking to target, add any tasks you might want them to do (I had them pretend to sign up at the School of Podcasting) and in about an hour you get a video. It was nice to hear the good as well as any confusion that might be going on when people visit. In my case I had a description of my product that didn't match the description if you used the 2checkout link. I placed more order and soon got a link where I could login and watch my visitor got to my site and not only navigate around but talk and give their impressions. This is very cool, and I will be using this service in the future. The cost is $39. For more information go to usertesting.com (http://www.usertesting.com) Know When To Tweet with Tweriord A few episodes ago I spoke about bufferapp which spread outs your tweets over time. It doesn't tell you when the best time to tweet is. For that information check out tweriod.com It shows you a graph of when the people who follow you are on twitter. Then you can take that information and use it in Bufferapp.com  The best thing is its free.  If you use their premium service you get: * Premium Users Can Analyze Their Entire Follower Base. * Get Detailed Analytics - General Stats, Hourly Stats, @replies Stats For ALL Days Of The Week. * Get An Overall Summary Of Weekdays and Weekends In A Summary Graphs. * PDF Report - Print Out For You or Your Client. * Add Branding to your report for You or Your Client. * Most apps only analyze your tweets. Tweriod Analyses Your Past Tweets And Ones From Your Followers. * Auto Sync Your Buffer Account With Tweriod Optimal Timings. Premium stats start at $3.99 a month. Tweet Old Posts While bufferapp.com is a cool tool if you have a large amount of information that you want to spread over time, but what if you DON'T have NEW content, but want to reuse your old content? The Wordpress Plugin Tweet Old Posts will help. You can specify how old a post needs to be, how old it can be (or let it tweet any age). You then specify how many hours delayed in between tweets. You can use a URL shortener. The latest version is 4.01 and if you download it from Wordpress you get version 3 (something). To get this from the developer GO HERE (http://www.ajaymatharu.com/wordpress-plugin-tweet-old-posts/).

Are Automated Webinars Evil? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 20:25

When I first heard the word "Automated Webinar" and realized that this meant people were signing up for a webinar only to watch a prerecorded presentation. I thought, "Well that's just wrong." It seemed dishonest. Then I thought about the webinars I have held for my membership sites. I get a few people signing up, but I always get requests for doing them in another time because a podcast reaches a global audience. I would start my webinars at 9 PM EST so the west coast (assuming they weren't stuck in traffic) could attend. This is the model where you trade your time for money, and in the end you were cutting out people who were not on your time frame. What about the people who signed up and couldn't make the webinar? What did they do? You guess it. They ended up watching the taped version of the presentation. With this in mind I don't think Automated Webinars are wrong. I can see where people may be tempted to mislead people, but I can see where this will free up someone while your potential customer watches and interacts with a recorded plugin. (http://affiliates.easywebinarplugin.com/wp-content/themes/affiliates/images/300X250/300x250- 4.jpg)So I looked into automating webinars and found some very expensive tools. Most of them had a monthly fee. Stealth Seminar (http://weeklywebtools.com/stealthseminar)had a $97 setup fee and was $69 a month. Presentation Domination (http://www.presentationdomination.com) is $147 a month Evergreen Business Machine (http://weeklywebtools.com/evergreenbusiness) is $497 Well Easy Webinar Plugin starts at $247 ($343 if you want the "Easy Webinar Plugin (http://www.weeklywebtools.com/easywebinar)" removed at the bottom). There are no monthly fees, and it comes with a huge amount of features. Schedule your webinar whenever you want. This allows people on different time schedule to attend. You can set how many days in advance that they can schedule. You can also let people sign and watch immediately. You can have items show up in the middle of your webinar (a pdf to download, etc). You can also give away something for anyoen who tells a friend about the webinar. There is a scarcity feature which adds a "count down timer" to (for example) a special price. This is very "Home Shopping Network." You have a live chat, but the questions are sent to you via email. You have a registration widget that can be placed on any website. The bottom line is there are tons of videos to walk you through the software and you can have your first automated webinar in minutes. My install had a minor glitch, and the best part is the Easy Webinar people stepped up to the plate and got me up and running. For more information go to easywebinarplguin.com (http://www.weeklywebtools.com/easywebinar)

Free Help Desk Software – Cool Video Intros For YouTube | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 8:36

SysAid Free Help Desk Software (http://weeklywebtools.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/sysaid.png)Some people are now using Help Desk Software to handle contact submissions (even if there is no official "help desk"). These can be useful to make sure that none of your customers fall through the cracks. I was on a site the other day that was using SysAid. This is a robust help desk software package designed for an IT staff. It has a ticketing system, knowledge base, timers, customer service surveys, automatic hardware and software detection, live chat and more. One of the coolest features is it provides remote control. This is great for those times when you get a client with absolutely zero computer skills. You can have them login and then take over their computer. You can even set it up so that incoming emails are turned into a ticket. Cool Video Intros for $10 If you're marketing your company on YouTube (and you should be) you might want to have a cool short intro. While you can find some people on fiverr.com that can do this, I liked intromaker.net (http://weeklywebtools.com/intromaker) This is a cool service where you can browse a catalog of cool video intros. You upload a png file of your logo with a transparent background, and it gives you a prievew of your logo. You appove it, and shortly there after you download your finished file in a moc HD format. Very cool. Its a quick three step process 1. Choose your template 2. Upload your png file 3. Get your file delivered. Check them out at intromaker.net (http://weeklywebtools.com/intromaker)

Your Customers Will be Amazed At Your Follow Up | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 12:45

If you are tired of having all of your emails vanish off the first page of gmail, then I've got the solution for you. If you would love to have a reminder every day of what's on your plate, then I've got the tool for you. If you'd like to have a to do list generated by an email, then I have the tool for you. (http://weeklywebtools.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/logo-hr.png)I'm talking about High Rise from the folks at 37 Signals (http://37signals.com/). These are the same people who wrote the books Rework. If you've never heard of this book: Rework shows you a better, faster, easier way to succeed in business. Read it and you'll know why plans are actually harmful, why you don't need outside investors, and why you're better off ignoring the competition. The truth is, you need less than you think. You don't need to be a workaholic. You don't need to staff up. You don't need to waste time on paperwork or meetings. You don't even need an office. Those are all just excuses.  A Free Follow Up Tool You are assigned an email address. When you send an email to your client, BCC High Rise and it automatically adds this person as a contact, and links the email. Now in the future you can keep track of all those conversations. You can also track "Deals."Deals let you keep track of proposals, bids, RFPs, and project sales right inside Highrise. Highrise has always been great for keeping track of the people you do business with, but now with Deals you can keep track of the business transactions as well. To Do List At first I thought, "What? There is no calendar?" There isn't. I have my calendar in Google. But sometimes I want an additional reminder. I set up a task, and a date and time, and it send a text message alerting me. Also every morning it emails whatever is on my to do list. I know I've been more productive since I started using it last week. The Free Version When you go to sign up, there is a line of text that reads, "We also offer a free plan (https://signup.highrisehq.com/signup/Free?source=footer) (2 users, no files, 250 contacts."  The system does allow you to upload files. They don't really mention if this is sort of a drop box system that allows you to share folder and such. The bottom line is now before calling your client you can easily glance and see all the business you've had with this customer, the business you may have lost, and all the tasks and notes you have entered. It is a video email system that allows you to not only send video from the web (or use their desktop application), it allows you to know when that video has been watched, by whom, what they watched, and where they are located. The client watches the video, you get your notification, and call the client. They will say, "That's funny, I was just watching you video..." and you can strike while the iron is hot. If you want to track ROI this is a great tool. You'll never guess if Covideo is worth the money, I'm sure you'll see it pay for itself. I'll keep you informed of how I'm using my account.
