Some people study the Vedas just to take another conclusion from them. They do not accept that Vishnu Narayan is the Enjoyer of everything. Sometimes they do not even accept that God exists. Sometimes they think that we are all God, that we are all on the same level, that we all have the same rights. Why should one be the Enjoyer and the others be the enjoyed? And in this way they create foolish theories where the created becomes the Creator. But nobody can become his own father or his own mother. You can become father and mother of some other people but you cannot become the father and mother of yourself.

The Bhagavad Gita As It Is, is the document which certifies the sweet will of the Supreme Personality of Godhead as He tells us Himself. The words of God are something extraordinary, there is nothing comparable. The word of God is hope, the word of God is guidance and light, the word of God is clarity to eliminate our doubts, the word of God is what keeps us here, brought us here and makes all things possible. The Gita and Bhagavatam are the installations of infinite mercy coming towards us, to help us.

When we talk about Gods in plural form we are having a philosophical question to resolve at once: Can God be many? It is touching upon advaita-vada, the Mayavada philosophy, and if God is many, then what is the meaning of God? We can also take into consideration what is called Godly because God and Godly, the Lord and His part and parcels, His portions, His fragments. Then the next question arrives is what is the relationship between God and His fragments? What is the power of His fragments? When a fragment will become that Godly that he will be considered a representative of God? In one sense there is a certain ambiguity about this whole subject, but only within the realm of mistrust. There is another approach to it, a theistic approach which is favorable to resolving the riddle once and for all. Lord Chaitanya gave us this key by teaching acintya beda abeda tattva (simultaneous oneness and difference). That is actually the answer to this intricate questioning of the Absolute.

We want to share with everyone the joy of having a Lord. The sum and substance of Vaishnava philosophy is to have a Lord. Without a Lord we are like street dogs. Street dogs are running around in this world looking for a master, sometimes fighting to survive and sometimes you see a street dog approaching you, there is a little bit of fear in the dog, there is the capacity of turning towards aggression incase you will become aggressive. But the street dog is having some hope.

One of the main reason marriages do not work is because the husband wants to be the center, and the wife also wants to be the center. And when the children come they say we are the center. And thats a big problem because none of us is the center, none of us is Supreme. How can we say that we are the center? Not at all. Is the husband Supreme because he is bringing a little money? Even money he is getting by the grace of God. Even food is coming by the grace of God. Even the air we breathe is by the grace of God. The floor we are sitting on is by the grace of God. So we are not Supreme.

There is a change on the horizon, even though it is very slow. Changes are slow. You can change a political system by simply taking up arms, killing all of the opponents and imposing your ideas, obliging people to fall into a certain pattern of behavior. Specifically in politics we have seen that. Hitler got the whole country to greet each other mentioning his name. Stalin, Lenin, they had the whole world influenced by communism and adapting a very atheistic way of life. They also tried to strictly prohibit all opposing currents. Nevertheless, after 83 years of communism we can see that the old tradition surfaced immediately, meaning they never really disappeared. They were just subdued by external force. Apparent changes can be brought about rather fast, but real changes in the heart and in the consciousness, they take time to be introduced.

Shyamananda Goswami was an orphan boy and because of his birth people had given him the name Dukhi. Dukhi means the sad one. So he was going all around until he decided by the grace of his Gurudeva to become a Vaishnava. He took initiation from Hriday Chaitanya who was a disciple of Gauri das Pandit in the bhava of sakhya (Serving God in the mood of friendship). These beautiful devotees were very intimately related to Lord Chaitanyas pastimes. So our Dukhi he became initiated and his guru was very much touched that he was called with the name Dukhi, then he said that from now on you will be called Sukhi Krishhna das. Sukhi means happy, Dukhi means sad.

Any king who does not teach his citizens about their respective duties in terms of varna and asrama but who simply exacts tolls and taxes from them is liable to suffer for the impious activities which have been performed by the citizens. In addition to such degradation, the king also loses his own fortune. A king, governor or president should not take the opportunity to occupy his post without also discharging his duty. He must teach the people within the state how to observe the divisions of varna and asrama. If a king neglects to give such instructions and is simply satisfied with levying taxes, then those who share in the collection -- namely, all the government servants and the head of the state -- are liable to share in the impious activities of the general masses.

We need to think about what we can do for Lord Chaitanya. It is very fulfilling to think in this way because we want to do something which really benefits the people, which really gives some tangible result for the people. So when we make a website and we hear that many people visit that website, we feel very happy. If somebody decides to become a devotee by reading our website, we will feel so much joy. This is why we do all these things, to make somebody really devotee, that they will really become enthusiastic to also do something nice for Krishna.

We worship Krishna because He maintains everyone, but not just because He maintains, also because He loves everyone. He is love personified. Just for the fact of maintaining others He already deserves anything and everything. As much as you are a conscious unit there is an original Conscious unit which is the Creator of all other conscious units and the Maintainer of them, so that is the Person we worship, you may call the Conscious unit anything you want, call Him Allah, call Him Jehovah, call Him Buddha, call Him whatever you want but He is the one who deserves to be worshiped.

If you consult the dictionary you will find that there is no clear idea about God. The dictionary is an important book because it explains the use of the words we are using. So if those people who put the dictionary together think that God is just a vague idea, thats a pretty nasty concept. The vague idea of God. How are you going to worship a vague idea? How are you going to develop love for a vague idea? This is all terribly confused, away from reality. Anyhow, by the grace of Srila Prabhupada we got a very clear idea of who is God. We can write many pages about the Supreme Personality of Godhead, His qualities and the way He makes Himself understandable to the human beings.

Mother Earth has all the seeds which are given by the Supreme Lord, so the seeds are very important. Nowadays we have a big problem. Demons are trying to control the seeds of this world, the laymen does not have an idea what's going on. Big American multinational companies are getting all the seeds from everywhere, hiding them and producing genetically modified seeds, which are supposed to be better than God's seeds. These modified seeds are producing fruits or vegetables but they do not produce any seeds to further on produce more fruits, so this is very tricky. After 10 or 20 years nobody will have seeds anymore and if you want to get any seeds you can only get it from them. So in this way they can control the entire agricultural world through seeds. Even 5000 years ago Mother Earth was complaining about the same problem when demons were taking advantage of the seeds.

An invitation to meditate on the Supreme Lords beautiful form could not be made more distinctive as it is being made here in the beautiful verses of the Srimad Bhagavatam. To actually consider this invitation is such a wonderful thing because in this meditation you are allowed to contemplate the Supreme Personality of Godhead. He is so sweet that He will take away all the misery, if you are just humble enough to say: "Yes, I want to meditate upon Him." Otherwise on what are you going to meditate? Are you going to meditate on a candle light like some meditation groups recommend?
