Summary: Shyamananda Goswami was an orphan boy and because of his birth people had given him the name Dukhi. Dukhi means the sad one. So he was going all around until he decided by the grace of his Gurudeva to become a Vaishnava. He took initiation from Hriday Chaitanya who was a disciple of Gauri das Pandit in the bhava of sakhya (Serving God in the mood of friendship). These beautiful devotees were very intimately related to Lord Chaitanyas pastimes. So our Dukhi he became initiated and his guru was very much touched that he was called with the name Dukhi, then he said that from now on you will be called Sukhi Krishhna das. Sukhi means happy, Dukhi means sad.
