 Drop Dead Fred – OMRM – ep 36 – 1991 – plus Jordan Peele’s Us | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:12:29

Imagine that you get a substandard haircut, and your imaginary friend says, "Got a stupid haircut! Ooh, look at my horrible stupid haircut! Looks just like her mother! Another little mega-bitch!" Or what about when you wear a cute purple dress, but your imaginary friend says, "It looks like a big BRUISE." If any of this sounds familiar, then you're probably Phoebe Cates in 1991's "Drop Dead Fred," a so-called kids movie that drops the s-word in the first 30 seconds and has multiple scenes of a crazy man looking up women's skirts. If you watched "Drop Dead Fred" as a kid, maybe you shouldn't have been allowed to watch it. Or maybe you watched it behind your parent's back and thought you were a badass 11-year-old. Or you saw it as an adult and have no (expletive deleted) clue what's happening. Tyler and Angela discuss it all on Old Millennials Remember Movies, plus we dive into a mostly spoiler-free discussion of Jordan Peele's latest sensation, "Us." Discussion of "Drop Dead Fred" begins around the 27-minute mark. Also discussed in this episode: Us (2019) Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse (2018) Notorious (1946) Sweet Smell of Success (1957) Major League II (1994)

 Space Jam – OMRM – ep 35 – 1996 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:10:41

Everybody get up, it's time to slam now. We got a real jam goin' down. For so many Old Millennials, "Space Jam" was a significant moment. The biggest sports star in the world - Michael Jordan - heads to the big screen alongside Bugs Bunny, Elmer Fudd and some cartoon that looks like Daffy Duck, but sure as (expletive deleted) doesn't sound like Daffy Duck."Space Jam" was a pop culture phenomenon, but is it a movie?! At least one of our hosts (the one who didn't watch it as a kid) isn't exactly sure. How much mileage can you get out of a five-minute Bill Murray cameo? Quite a bit, it turns out. Angela and Tyler discuss Charles Barkley, the disappointing lack of Road Runner/Wile E. Coyote and that killer soundtrack. We got a Basketball Jones! Also discussed in this episode: Captain Marvel (2019 )Free Solo (2018) 2010: The Year We Make Contact (1984) All the King's Men (1949) Brigadoon (1954) Bye Bye Birdie (1963)

 Street Fighter – OMRM – ep 34 – 1994 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:16:53

The Academy gave "Green Book" the Best Picture trophy this year (yuck), so in protest we watched a movie that might be the exact opposite of an awards-bait drama. It's "Street Fighter" The Movie, a film in which Jean Claude Van Damme enters a street fighting contest and... wait, how is that NOT the plot of this movie? M. Bison (the M. stands for Mister, amirite?) invades the country of Shadaloo, and it's up to a peacekeeping force led by AMERICAN JCVD to take him down. "Street Fighter" spends its first hour working overtime to get all the characters into their ridiculous game costumes. WHERE IS THE FIGHTING? How is Raul Julia able to give such a glorious performance while also being deathly ill? How does this movie exist? Why aren't we writing books about it? How do we get JCVD's stealth Bat-boat? Also discussed on this episode: A Star is Born (1954) Rebecca (1934) It Happened One Night (1934) A Hard Day's Night (1964) Woman of the Year (1942) The Big Chill (1983) The Magicians (TV series)

 When Harry Met Sally – OMRM – ep 33 – 1989 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:02:48

Men can't be friends with women without thinking about sex. I mean, that's pretty much why Tyler and I had to start dating immediately. And we're married AND best friends now, so I sorta think Billy Crystal had it right. We go back and watch a classic Romantic Comedy, When Harry Met Sally. What did we remember? What did Roger Say? What will Tea Time with Tyler be about? Does it hold up? Tune in to hear us old millennials discuss all this and more. Also discussed in this episode: Crazy Rich Asians (2018) (Tyler also talked about Crazy Rich Asians in Episode 11) Happy Death Day 2U (2019) Isn't It Romantic (2019) Black Panther (2018) Strike Up the Band (1940) Top Hat (1935) Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (1954) The Wife (2018) When Harry Met Sally We dove into the movie at around 25 minutes if you'd like to jump ahead. But our discussions on the above movies are totally worth tuning into, obviously.

 The ‘Burbs – OMRM – ep 32 – 1989 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:28:14

There's only one way out of a cul-de-sac. Tom Hanks and Carrie Fisher might be living next to psycho murderers in "The 'Burbs," but the rest of the neighborhood is full of weirdos, including the brilliant Bruce Dern as a deranged vet, Corey Feldman as a laid-back dude-bro and a domestic terrorist who lets his dog poop all over other people's lawns. Monster. "The 'Burbs" turns 30 this month, but does Joe Dante's horror-comedy hybrid deserve to endure? Depends on how you feel about sardines... Also discussed in this episode: Velvet Buzzsaw (2019) Hobbs & Shaw trailer (2019) Assassination Nation (2018) Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween (2018) Suspiria (2018)

Also we play a new game, "Angela Explains It All," featuring that awful, awful 2018 film, "Jurassic Mansion!" Or whatever it's called!

 Mighty Ducks – OMRM – ep 29 – 1992 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:37:08

Quack. Quack. Quack. Quack. It's a scientific fact that Old Millennials everywhere love "The Mighty Ducks." Consider the classic moments - The Flying V. Eggs on the ice rink. Charlie's penalty shot. Coach Gordon Bombay's DUI arrest? That unusual tickling scene? Okay, so Disney movies were a little different in the 90s. Does "The Mighty Ducks" still soar? Of course it does, but the Old Millennials still need to discuss Minnesota's confusing pee-wee hockey playoff structure and whether or not Emilio Estevez is trying. Also discussed in this episode: Hereditary (2018)Hearts Beat Loud (2018)The Ballad of Buster Scruggs (2018)Gotti (2018)Pitch Perfect 3 (2017)Skate Kitchen (2018)
