Summary: Far too often there seems to be a divide between police practices and the perception of the public. This podcast is dedicated to bridging the gap between police and the communities they serve. This program will be dedicated to analyzing police procedures and giving a layman's understanding to the public. It will also review relevant events which are occurring around the U.S. in attempts to give the public the reasons why the police have taken the course of action that they have. The goal of this program is to bring all groups together and to work in harmony to make all communities better and cohesive.

Do Black officers need their own unions and fraternal organizations? In this episode, we will explore this dynamic. We will talk about whether these organizations are even necessary in 2019 and beyond. It is my hope that the need for these organizations will decrease. I desire that we will be the post-racial society that so many news outlets claim we are. This episode will be controversial, however, if we are to progress as a country then these types of conversations are necessary.
Who is L Boogie Jr? She's my favorite daughter. She and I will be starting a new podcast called The L Boogie Show very soon. This episode will appear on both podcasts. I thought it would be nice to get a younger non-police personnel's perspective as they viewed a movie about police corruption and to see how some people in society view the police. I also wanted to see if and how the media influences society's perspective on the police. The conversation was great and be on the lookout for The L-Boogie Show.
Today most of us have some awareness of autism and other challenges that inhibit some people's social skills. Today's episode we will explore what autism is and how many police officers are receiving training on how to deal with persons dealing with these challenges. It is important for vulnerable populations to be heard and understood. Fortunately, there are advocates like Ms. Helen Taylor, who is on the front lines disseminating information and championing their cause.
It's the end of another month, therefore, we will take a look at some of the top stories related to PD's and law enforcement. We cannot dive into every story, however, I believe we can learn something from what has occurred in law enforcement. Armed with this information we can continue the path of making the relationship between police and communities more beneficial.
Seth Stoughton is a university professor and law scholar. He has written for numerous academic and investigative publications. I wanted to have him on the show to discuss police militarization and hopefully his thoughts on police body-worn cameras. However, our convo got deep into what good PD's do or what they should do that we never got to the reason for the interview. Don't worry I will have him back and we will eventually get to and stay on topic.
This episode we will be speaking with former police detective Russell Beckman. Mr. Beckman was a detective during the beginning stages of the Micahel Bell case. Upon seeing the misdeeds going on with the case Beckman retired after 29 years of service. He has and continues to work with Michael Bell Sr to get justice for the Bell family. If you have not listened to the previous episode, make sure you do.
Michael Bell Jr had a tragic run-in with law enforcement in 2004. What happened after his encounter left him dead and his family searching for answers. Unfortunately for his family and particularly his father, Michael Bell Sr, was a plethora of unanswered questions and what seemed to be a lack of transparent investigation. This episode will explore some of the details behind what many believe a tragic mistake.
Don't worry I'm not going to turn into a media critic. However, I do think that there are many lessons which we can learn from the movie. The movie was supposedly set in the 1980s, however, we can see many ideas which are relevant for today. We will explore 3 main ideas that I found to be of importance.
This episode we will continue our discussion with Dr. Dawn Perlmutter. In a previous episode, we discussed symbolism, ritualistic killings, and cult practices. Today we will continue and explore the Bue Lives Matter movement and its direct opposition to Black Lives Matter. It seems as if Blue Lives is saying forget about Black Lives and its Blue Matter that should matter. Does Dr. Perlmutter agree with me? Check it out and see.
