My summer vacation. As of the time of this recording I’m packing up and preparing to leave tomorrow for my week in Florida. And good news, we’ll be taking a break from the beach, and spending a day at Walt Disney World. Of course, you know what that means, more audio for me to share with you. Based on our preliminary plans too, it’s probably all going to be from the Magic Kingdom, but that’s not so bad since there’s all this new Fantasyland stuff to explore. I’m going to just start my recorder from the time we get inside the perimeter, and let it run till the time we leave it. This also means a new audio trip report on my return, so keep an ear out for that later. If you haven’t heard, the scuttlebutt on the internet is that they have recently destroyed various SpectroMagic parade floats, taking away any opportunity for the return of this parade in the future. This saddens me greatly as I loved this nighttime parade, possibly even more than the Main Street Electrical Parade. To me, the music is better, and I loved the little guys with the white faces. I can’t believe it’s July already. By the time this comes out, we will have celebrated our Independence Day here in the United States, and are now looking at upcoming summer vacations. Me, I’m not traveling again, not till the unofficial end of summer in September, but that’s fine with me. I’ve had 3 road trips over the last 4 weekends and I’m content to have a nice quiet weekend at home with the family right now. In September though, we’re planning our annual pilgrimage to Florida to spend time with our family and go to the beach in Clearwater. And if you’re in Florida, why would you not also go to Walt Disney World right? That’s right, we’re going to try to get over to Orlando for a day (maybe 2) and have some fun with the kids. I can’t wait to see how different it will be with our kids this time. Each time we go, they’re a little older, and understand the stories a little more. It’s another cold and wet Spring morning here in Kentucky. While I could be downhearted because spring still seems to be a week away according to the weather reports, I’m not. That’s right it’s going to happen, the whole family is getting together for my dad’s birthday at the end of January. We’ve decided on a 4-day cruise on the Magic through the Caribbean. So I’ve got some good news. We’ve started planning a Disney trip. And this is one that I have no experience with, so we’re enlisting some help from MouseFanTravel to help us plan a Disney Cruise. Yep, that’s right, we’re looking at taking a cruise. My dad is having a milestone birthday so the whole family is interested doing a cruise together. We’re looking at next January at this point, so plans are starting to come together and I for one can’t wait. We started watching some of the videos online and the kids got very excited to “go there”, but they had no concept of what we were talking about. It will be so much fun. I’m looking forward to seeing their faces as we enjoy this together, kind of like how I’m looking forward to seeing their faces on the attraction from today’s memory.
