This varies between Tech-House and Deep-House and is always up to date. Through his special sound, he has played himself into the hearts and the dancing feet of the enthusiasts of electronic music.

#194 of our podcast series by @doubljuh! ➪ https://www.facebook.com/doubljuh Bereits mit 14 Jahren hat the Doubljuh sein erstes DJ Setup bekommen und damit fleißig experimentiert, bis ihm das Mixing mit Vinyl in Fleisch und Blut übergegangen ist. Seine ersten musikalischen Versuche mit Vinyl waren vom Chicago House (Bad Boy Bill, Richard Humpty vission) Ghetto House/Booty House (Dj Funk, Dj Deeon) und vor allem Funky Disco House (Boogie Pimps, Armand van Helden, Bob Sinclar, Olav Basoski) geprägt. So ergab sich früh ein bunt gemischter House Style mit groovigen Melodien und eingängigen Vocals. Als Newcomer der Tectrex Crew brachte er das erste Mal eine Partymenge zum schwitzen und war Resident DJ bei der Sendung „Rookie Freaks“ im Tectrex Webstream. Eine grundlegende Änderung seiner Ansichten über elektronische Musik brachte ihn der Sommer 2013 mit den Besuchen auf den legendären Festivals Fusion- und Kazantip (inklusive Kurzauftritt). Hier lernte er den melodischen Deep House kennen und lieben, der seinen Style seitdem stark beeinflusst. Die bekannten groovigen Housebeats wechseln sich nun mit ruhigen Parts ab, die eher durch ihre verspielten Violinen- oder Pianomelodien verzaubern und ergeben dadurch einen frischen Sound, der immer noch von starken eingängigen Vocals bestimmt wird. 2015 gründete er zusammen mit Kork das Dj Kollektiv "deep stories", welches mit seiner Podcatsreihe auf Soundcloud, aufgrund des neuartigen Konzeptes, sehr erfolgreich ist. Mit dem deep stories Showcase ist er unter anderem in Hamburg Berlin oder Nürnberg unterwegs.

Although he was a beautiful child, those who follow his project know that the Lisbon-based artist has changed a lot since he entered the market and a proof of that is the evolution of his release catalog. Although the artist now hates the track that got him his first radio airplay in the end of 2014, he knows it was an important step for the ripening of his sound and for the launch of his career. Abandoning his electro house roots, the young DJ & producer dropped out of his first label project, MDT Records, to enter a journey that would lead him to a deeper sound. In early 2017, he finally started putting out his first Tech House & Techno tunes, with some following the Arabic influences that his first tracks had. After regular appearances on the biggest nightclubs of the Portuguese capital and a summer residence on a beach bar in Algarve, Madd Rod embarked on a new adventure, moving for a semester to the South of Germany. There he met other artists that would inevitably influence his sound. He played in Club 27 and Kuckuck in Tübingen, and launched his new label, Inner Shah Recordings, in December. After an official launching event of the project in the city that helped him find his sound, it was time to head back to Portugal and hit the studio and Portuguese roads again.

Today we premiere 'Breaking Down The Wall' by @lessismorefm from his upcoming album 'Return To Cybertron'. Gideon: ➪ https://www.facebook.com/LessismoreFM ➪ https://soundcloud.com/lessismorefm ➪ http://www.lessismore.fm There is no question that Gideon is continuously setting the bar higher and higher as a multitalented producer with every release he brings out. ‘Return To Cybertron’ is both invigorating and his most experimental release to date, delving into techno grounds with a touch of the producer’s old-school influences. The 20 – track album is full of late night driven tunes that will bring all dance-floors to a boiling point. ‘Night Drive Avenue’, carries an 80’s breakbeat vibe, along with space age synths taking the listener to an old arcade game. ‘Maze of Calculators’ has a high frequency synth warming things up for a heavy drop. This track depicts Gideon’s idea of what wandering around a maze would feel like. Similar to ‘Depart to Cybertron’ which is a fictional planet ruled by mechanical grooves. ‘Little Megatron’ is an action game franchise created by Nintendo, by listening to these tracks, you understand that they were aptly named, by the sounds, rhythm and vibes of the track. ‘Slaves of Society’ overwhelms the senses with the force of sound protruding into the listeners mind, an interesting intepretation of societies’ mind and how slavery can be found in today’s issues; Gideon pointing out external issues outside of this techno banger is something to admire from him. ‘No Land of Vice’ is a hypnotic, dance track which carries a calmer feel percussion that builds character into the groove until the drop allows us to snap off the trance and come back to earth. The final tracks on the album are three interpretations from Error Etica, Pelacha and Gideon’s alter ego Alexis Tyrel. ‘Return To Cybertron’ set to be released on the 6th of July via Gideon’s own imprint Lessismore depicts an experimentation with melodies combining old and new eras of techno resulting in something unique.

I started this EP one morning after a seeing Solomun perform in London, completely hungover. Thus the title: "Hungover EP". Born in Vienna (Austria), Alex Neidhardt's passion for electronic music was sparked at the age of 16 in Singapore. Alex started to produce his first songs and earn his first gigs at various events in Singapore, before moving to the UK to start his undergraduate studies. Alongside some friends, Neidex now hosts his own events named "access" internationally. Hosting various artists such as Folamour, Jesse Rose, Alexis Raphael, Josey Rebelle, Mr. Belt & Wezol and a lot more, Neidex and access' projects are definitely a must-follow over the next few years.
